Created as a favor for :iconabbadon771:~Abbadon771 as he had a question in regards to drawing a vixen face a while ago. This is one of my usual approaches to creating such a face in a 3/4 view. I hope this helps ~Abbadon771 and any who are interested in seeing one way of doing this! :)

I was asked to make a tutorial about male and female anthros, particularly wolves so here they are in my style. I hope you find it helpful. I fudged with the layout of the tutorial so I hope it's not too crowded or confusing.

(Yes I know that guy looks like J.R.)

A mash-up of a few male figure studies from a recent sketchbook. I prefer to do figure drawings with a live model or reference of some kind, but sometimes you just don't have one, and at the time I didn't, but I still wanted to do some non-character stuff, so these happened.

It just occurred to me that all of these guys have pretty poor posture. Hm. Maybe it was just a slouchy day.

Tael puppy . . . :aww:

This was sitting on my PC 80% finished so I did the last stretch.

As I drew the panels, I found Tael's disposition to be pretty diverse and at times intense. He certainly evolved a lot since I created him in the 8th grade.

I certainly recommend this exercise for character development.

Like I said in my previously posted male figure sketches, it's good to go back to some human studies now and then, and really, I should probably do these a lot more often than I do. These weren't drawn with any photo or model reference, just some conceptual figure studies. I tried to think of interesting poses and sort of tell stories with them. I like how a lot of these turned out.

Male study here: [link] There seem to be a lot less figures of ladies than I did of males, but in fact I think there are more. Interesting.

(It occurs to me that maybe I should put some kind of content warning on these?... But surely that wouldn't be necessary, as they contain very little specific detail and are basically covered.)

These are just some random figure study sketches of male anatomy. I didn't use any photos or live model for reference, just tried to put down some interesting and varied poses. I think some of them turned out pretty dynamic, and even realistic in a few cases. It's fun to go back to figure studies now and then (not to mention really important... I should do these more often, especially for men, who I draw far less often than women).
