I had to get my mind off a troublesome picture I've been working on lately, so I thought it would help to just doodle something else for a while. This meme was perfect for that! It is my first meme ever, but I had very much fun doing it, so I'm quite sure it is not the last one ;)

I don't really have any original characters of my own, so I decided to draw my all time favourite hero instead: the magnificent Aragorn from the Lord of the Rings! And of course he's based on Viggo Mortensen from the movies. :)

I looked at a few pictures from the Simpsons, South Park, Disney and Muppet Show to get the styles somewhat right, though I don't think Aragorn fit very well in all of those styles. :D Also, I pretty much never draw anime, so I probably messed that one up :/

Aragorn belongs to J. R. R. Tolkien.

Where is the horse gone? where the rider?
Where the giver of treasure?
Where are the seats at the feast?
Where are the revels in the hall?
Alas for the bright cup!
Alas for the mailed warrior!
Alas for the splendour of the prince!
How that time has passed away, dark under the cover of night,
as if it had never been.

I didn't spot a stamp devoted to the Rohirrim yet, so I decided to make one.

Design is the banner of Rohirrim from the Lord Of The Rings movies directed by Peter Jackson. The original Rohirrim are of course copyright to J.R.R. Tolkien.

So nothing in this is mine. : D

To me, the Rohirrim, horse people, are possibly the most enjoyable aspect of the whole book. Also, the best part of the RotK movie, in my opinion, is the part where Rohirrim come to Gondor's aid. And the Rohan theme made for the movie always makes me cry. As does thinking of how Théoden passed away. (Also Éomer is hot.)

I think that's more than enough reasons to make a stamp. : D
The Rohirrim are just made of awesome, epic and win~

Me with my wonderful sons, Elladan and Elrohir :3

This time I tried to use Mucha's style, because at the Musée d'Orsay I bought a book with a lot of his affiches and I literally fell in love with him XDDD I find his style elegant and refined, and I admire his ability to fill every little piece of paper with flowers or decorations without exaggerating U.U

Okay, here's the last of the three memes I did.
This time it's :iconblahblahbalah:s Lord of the Rings meme.
Too bad I don't know how to change the background colour. It would look a little better if it was all green. Well, that's just too bad, because I don't know enough about Photoshop to do that yet.

The meme is © :iconblahblahbalah: and The Lord of the Rings is © Tolkien and New Line Cinema

Also, I tag :iconluthienancalime:
Now you have no choice... mwahahaha :evillaugh:

As an artist, I believe in challenging oneself in order to grow. Hence, I take satisfaction in creating as many varied celebrities/characters as I can.

The dolls used are 16 inch and 17 inch Arwen and Aragorn dolls by Robert Tonner. Full facial repaint and shading as well as extensive hair style make over to replicate the features of Liv Tyler and Viggo Mortensen, particularly as seen in the epic Lord of the Rings.

Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area and an even greater challenge of recreating a real person's likeness. Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.

-- acrylic paint and ultra fine brushes
