Based on the song "The Opened Way" from "Shadow of the Colossus"
lyrics by Joseph Blanchette
I would turn my soul to see your eyes again
Follow the voice inside so I can feel warmth once more
I'll ride across forbidden lands with sword in hand
Make the mountains bleed until there's nothing left
With every step I take, I'm lost
With every heart I spill, I'm found
I've lost to much only to be lied to
Will you love me after what I've done here?

South Wind through Korcari's long grass blows.
Passing above ruined Lothering, to Denerim it goes.
What news from Ostagar, O wandering wind
Where are the soldiers, the mages, the warden, the king.
I heard their horns ringing over the Tower of Ishal.
I have seen them fight in the morning light so pale.
There Cailan fell, Theirin mighty,
Never to return in Denerim by the sea.
Beneath the tower I heard their cry as they fought
But no help to rescue them Loghain brought
So they fell in the morning red dew,
Despite their courage, for nothing but the treason of a few.

Doctor's DreamOuter space is cold,Doctor's Dream7 months ago in Free Verse More Like This
but it's colder when you're alone.
I need a hand to hold
to show me how I've grown.
The inside is different every time,
but the outside's always blue.
For I give justice for every crime
but it's not worth it without you.
It's bigger on the inside, yes,
but that means there's more room to be alone.
Where I'm from? many try to guess
but with you I was always home.
My family's gone, my planet too.
I needed you to keep me sane.
I'm mad and lonely, this is true.
But you didn't care- you were the same.
And now this space seems bigger still
because there's no you here with me.
And you look out your window sill

I've been toldI've been told,I've been told1 year ago in Free Verse More Like This
I can make people feel with just text.
I've been told,
I can speak maximums of hope and encouragement.
I've been told,
I can create whet nobody else can.
I've been told,
I can shine like the sun.
I've been told,
To not be myself.
I've been told,
My work is useless.
I've been told,
Being who I am, embarasses myself.
I've been told,
I cannot shine like th sun.
Sometimes, it is not your fist words that can hurt or help.
It can be what you follow it up with.
And you know what?
The second stanza, people who tell me that,
I don't listen.

but I'm working really hard to fix it!"
When she told me that
I immediately felt sad
but I couldn't discern why.
It wasn't that she had a poor perception
of her body image
but that she would ever think
she needed to change herself
in order to be happy.
And when digging further, I realize
I'm not sad because she has
this overwhelming urge to improve,
I'm sad because
I feel the same way about myself.
I'm sad because she knows what
about herself that makes her unhappy.
I'm sad because she has the courage
to admit to everyone she isn't perfect.
I'm sad because she's taking steps to improve

As you dream
Every night I comfort you
When you scream
All night the tears
Fall down like rain
As you remember your past
Again and again
Again and again
Again and again
And again
And again
And again
Every night I hold you
As you dream
Every night I comfort you
When you scream
All night the tears
Fall down like rain
As you remember your past
Again and again
Again and again
Again and again
And again
And again
And again
I'm here--Hush, hush
Right here--Hush hush
Always here--Hush hush
For when you need me
Though you may not know
I'll--Hush, hush
Be there--Hush hush
Always there--Hush hush

Lucent Light
a choice
for the rest of your life.
But sometimes day is not Light
nor does night contain Darkness.
Look inside you
choose what you know is right.
Step over your fears,
worries,
and regrets.
It's your decision;
but everyone's watching.

Scattered MemoriesShattered MemoriesScattered Memories10 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Shattered memories of a childhood
scattered in the wind like leaves
Memories of one\'s birth unknown
Early childhood shrouded in mist
Memories of a mother\'s love forgotten
Only scenes of death and sadness remain
Confused and motherless 8 year old
The only question is what now?
8 years of new memories and experiences
None will compare to the sadness
A child\'s heart lacking a mother\'s love
But what has filled it now?
Passing experiences molded a personality
From early childhood to adolesence
No longer confused and saddened
A child\'s spirit has grown stronger
Dedicated to my mother

That there is no Heaven.
There's no Hell down below.
Only the blue sky above,
and the hard ground underneath.
Let us imagine
That all the people live for today
That they live for themselves
and their loved ones
Let us imagine
That there are no counties
Nothing to fight over
Nothing to die for
It's not hard now is it?
Let us imagine
People who live together
Who love one another
Even if they only met
Let us imagine
No religion
No war
No hate
Only love
Let us not imagine
Let us not dream
If we wanted peace,
we would have it.
Let us be the revolutionaries
history makers
good people
Let us imagine

We were best friends
like Christmas and December
Together till the end
You with your green eyes
Me with my brown
Never saying bye's
Not with out a frown
Till death do us part
Like a bride and a groom
We took it to heart
Although death came to soon
I'll meet you when I get there
Because we still make quite a pair

Everything is dark.
Show me where to go.
Take me in your arms.
Let us escape.
Our life is fresh.
An eternity awaits.
Our love is forever.
I need you.

Nothing can stop us.
We are one.

Your kind

And understanding
But I'm sorry
I still don't love you

BrokenLike a glass, so fragileBroken4 years ago in Other More Like This
broken easily, into bits
one glip, it's scattered
Erase my memories and lead me away
don't ever leave me alone as you said
like a puzzle never completed
it's my pain
Tears falling, like rain
never alright, never the same
cursing me, leaving marks
Am I broken? Will I ever be alright?

Little Lion, all alone,
So tattered and so torn.
Once a childs closest friend,
Now fallen and forlorn
Do you miss the girls embrace?
Long to see her smiling face?
Little Lion, all alone,
In a heap upon the ground.
A forgotten thing of reveries,
Longing to be found.
Far away, in empty halls,
For you, a ghostly teardrop falls.
Little Lion, all alone,
I wish you only knew.
Little comfort finds me here . . .
. . . Until I think of you.

Passing FacesPassing FacesPassing Faces6 years ago in Open More Like This
The world is desperately lonely,
With people passing by people,
Only passing glimpses along,
With nothing more to keep
Makes you wonder if youll be remembered,
Once you are dead and gone,
If youve made an impression,
On the surface of lives
Giving smiles and a passing hi,
Can brighten someones world
And the diminishing light can glow again,
It can cut away the loneliness
Hope and peace can bloom,
Just by knowing you are loved,
And finding life as a purpose,
In the lonely world

To blend in the dark
To discover the way out
To escape
To break free
To sway like a leaf caressed by the wind
To change colors like a chameleon
To ironically be seen as black and white
I want to hide and never be seen
To hide who i am in this endless crowd

I want to shine like a star
To fly like a bird
To soar higher than an eagle
To smile as bright as the sun
To give life to my beliefs
To sigh in relief
To be happy
To show the real me
To crush, win over, destroy and over power the faceless me

No one was there for me,
Not even to begin with...
How foolish was I
To believe that the world could help ease what it had created for myself
....., I lied to you
Yet you still trail me on,
I accepted you
Yet acceptance is not what I currently feel radiating from yourself
I watch the true world slowly reveal itself,
Little by little,
A beautiful puzzle of a mosaic art piece filled with the answers to the mysteries of life
Yet it remains unfinished, never to be solved
I look around to see the certain familiar faces mock me every day of my torturous life,
Their lies spreading easily across the atmosphere lik

Lullaby 3
Within her fragile paper skin,
A whirlpool of confusion spins.
The carousel of thoughts is a mess
Caused by malice with misunderstood vex.
The soul wishes to break away.
But was succumbed deeper, and was forced to stay.
Yet it has determination and shall fight
And her soul shall end in a tragic plight...
Her pitiful soul, crushed in pieces
Left like ashes, full of stillness.
Until the wind blew her everywhere
And ended up someplace, somewhere, anywhere.
Her body now a hollow shell,
So feeble and lost, it nearly fell.
Yet, she searched from place to place,
With each shard of her soul reflecting on her

RegretsThe wind blew and the trees swayed.Regrets6 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
In spring new life starts and in fall everything ends.
Using a smile to mask the pain,
Sitting daintily watching the sunset,
Doubts lingered in her heart.
Did she make the right decision?
She closed her eyes, submerged herself in thoughts.
Remembered the days that flashed by.
She knew how it would have ended.
She had anticipated it from the beginning.
And yet
The results of her decisions she rebuked.
There is no room for regrets.
No room for the strangling ache.
As the stars shown she stood up.
May she be able to move on?
Lets hope she find the path she looks for.

AliveI wake up. I looked outside.Alive6 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Sigh
Another Day.
I'm still alive.
Why can't my existence just disappear?
I turned. Walked away. Disappeared. But I still exist.
I'm still alive.
Why can't I just die?
I try to break free. To get away from everything.
The pain
The sadness
The loneliness
The hatred
I looked up the sky. Raised my hands up. Tried to grasp it.
I can't
Just take me away.
Just set me free.
Just let me, make me.
Just kill me.
I imagine you won't. At least not that easily.
I surrender.
I give up.
Goodbye
In the end, all is lost.
