I shot this during sunset, again with a slow shutter speed to capture the movement of the wave. Out of the hundreds of thousands of shots I've attempted, it's extremely difficult to get a good back of the wave vortext shot, especially one so colorful (no I did not photoshop it). So I was pretty lucky here.
If you enjoy any of my photos, please consider checking out my kickstarter project where I offer my photos as rewards.
This was shot with a slow shutter speed and flash during the sunrise. I didn't photoshop or alter it. It's extremely difficult to capture a wave during movement in this way, but with the correct settings and flash it is possible.
If you're interested in purchasing any of my wave images, please check out my kickstarter project that is ending very soon. This piece is available in very large print as a reward to the project.
This shot took me 6 months to shoot. I would wake up every morning at 4:30am to be in the water before the sun would rise. My goal was to capture the sun inside a barrel of a wave, so so difficult. So many mornings I would go and the clouds would be blocking the sunrise, other times water drops would be in the way, bad weather, or the waves were not big enough, it was extremely challenging to get this, but when I did I was so happy.
You can purchase this along with all my other photos on my kickstarter project that's available for a few more days.
