I used my a bit higher (but still pathetically low) self-confidence to meet another dA member - this time it was *Shadow-and-Flame-86, lovely young scientist from Scottland, where she studies marine mammals! It was just perfect, she is very nice person, we had fun (at least me). I am really glad we met and could chat a lot about her work, ZOOs and animals in general
What was the biggest attraction? Giant pandas? Wolves?
No! Those were squirrels
ZOO Vienna is totally full of wild but tame squirrels. And by full I mean that they are everywhere in a forest part of the ZOO! People feed them with nuts, so they come VERY close to you, they even run to humans, following them and beggingI was ready for this and I prepared a sack of wallnuts for me and *Shadow-and-Flame-86 to have some fun. So my parents finally got back from Georgia. I have to say that I feel a great relief! Of course I knew local people are civilized that it is a nice country with fantastic nature, but it was still the Caucasus region and I definitely did not trust its roads and planes... Caracals, manuls and snow leopards had babies, so it was amazing to watch them - just the weather was bad, cloudy and even rainy, so the light made the photography difficultthanks for lovely meeting, Amrodel!

This weekend I spent in mountain and I visited one of my favourite ZOOs, Dvur Kralove nad Labem. I was a bit disappointed that they moved cheetahs (I did not see them at all), because this ZOO was very good for taking photos of them. They also moved fennec foxes from very photographer friendly enclosure which allowed the foxes to enjoy some sun light into a nocturnal indoor pavilion which is very dark and you can watch the foxes only from above, so I am afraid I lost this place for fennec photos

There are still 20 kilos of fat which wait to be removed.

It was my first weekend after a working week in my life - and I did not relax
I had to go to help my family, we painted a huge room in my grandfather's cottage (his free time house, where he loves to travel and work). I was driving and my father was not satisfied with it, which made me unhappy. I am really trying. But we have manual shift, of course, so I need to learn how to do it right... My father also wants me to drive faster than I think is safe. Do not get me wrong, I am not afraid of speed - if the road is good and quite empty, it is ok. But there was a narrow road with many bends, where bikers love to go and on the other hand, cars in opposite direction might have troubles to stay in their half. In such situation, I want to be more careful, but well...
I got even more angry about this, when we met a place of tragical car accident - I later found out that some young guy died there only hours ago. There were many cadles and young people staying close to the tree, crying

Yesterday I went to ZOO Olomouc with my great friend =amrodel - she has never been to this ZOO and because it is one of my the most favorite animal facilities, I really wanted to show her! And because =amrodel is a lion lover and because baby lions were born in Olomouc, we could not have a better opportunity to meet! It is always a pleasure to see :devamrodel and we really had fun. It was fantastic to watch whole lion family - father Šimon was so desperate, because his babies wanted to play with his tail! He really seemed very unhappy about it. But we had fun.

I quit the job today.
I did not want to do it before finding another one, but I finally could not bear all that confused stuff and stress and low competence of the company. I was even supposed to help to spread something I considered to be evil for the world, so it was even more stressful.

Yup, after long time, there is another stealing guy in this site.
He posts many famous google photos, clearly claiming them as his own. His last submission was a red fox, which is in fact a very famous National Geographic photo, which is posted by thieves very often. This guy says it was him who took the photo and he was only 30 cm far from this animal. What a liar.
This guy does NOT steal my photos, he steals photos of other authors.
So please, report him. I think his gallery is totally crowded with stolen shots, so if you know the originals, report him too, please.

Muhaha, I am back from Berlin - it was AWESOME trip!
Thank you all for journey advices - we finally decided to not buy a sticker, to park our cars as close to the center as possible and to get to the hotel by underground. We in fact had no clue where to park or where to even leave a highway, but it somehow happened that we accidentaly left the car on the best place, which was really right next to the beginning of "eko" zone and just next to the tube station of the line which got us directly to the hotel. Yay!
The first thing I saw after getting out of the underground area was... CHECKPOINT CHARLIE!
One of the things I REALLY wanted to see in my life
And even our hotel was on a street, which used to be divided by Berlin wall! The remains were still lying just few metres from the hotel! Just AWESOME, AWEEEEEESSSOOMMMEEEE!
It really meant a lot for me.
