holy cheese and crackers. i finally finished it . took WAY longer than i expected. so yeah. i kinda used that style of "dramatic coloring" that i normally done with my other paintings ..soo ..its really ....eye poping. not that much happy with the background though. im short on ideas so i just went for a simple one. well hope you like it . tell me wat ya think
I'll be honest. I wasn't a fan of Princess Luna at all. In season one of FiM she appeared for like 5 seconds in which they characterized her by making her look like normal ponies with just a few design edits that divided her from them. I found that this made Luna seem quite humble, that she had been nothing more than a normal pony when she was turned into Nightmare Moon. However, then came season 2 in which a few more characters came to light, such as the background character Fleur-de-lis, who used the same body shape, but was larger than season 1 Luna. Fancy Pants was also much larger than season 1 Luna and so was Princess Cadance, who obviously should've been a bit younger than Luna (a lot of people theorised that the reason Luna was so small in season 1 was because time stops on Equestria's moon. That could've been a possibility in which time proceeded to catch up with her. It would kind of have to; otherwise she'd be smaller than Cadance, which could've been disillusioning to some of the younger audiences. Or I could just be looking too far into it).
Luna finally got her own episode in the form of Luna Eclipsed, but despite being hyped up for it I found myself not that wowed by it that week. Luna's new design had been a plus point; her magically flowing mane, much like Celestia's, and bigger, refined shape with the darker blue fur made her look much more elegant and far more fitting for a princess of the night. The episode itself was meh at best (don't get me wrong, I still liked it, but it wasn't anything special in my oppinion) but what really broke it for me was Luna's voice. I'm not saying that Tabitha St. Germain is a bad voice actor; not at all, she's just completely unfitting for Luna's character. I wanted to see Luna with a slightly less...manly voice, something that compared well with Celestia's. But I found myself pretty disappointed by the result of Luna's voice in the end and therefore seemed to take very little interest in her character.
I came across this on Equestria Daily I think, but it matched what I had hoped of Luna's voice and generally just made her seem more interesting. I'm eager to see this animation complete and in all the hype I found myself liking Luna considerably more.
Celestia and Rarity were best ponies, but now Luna is, just sayin'.
Anyway, yeah, hope you like, 'cos it took a while. - Space brushes from Brusheezy: [link]
