You could win a custom charm! :DHey everyone! It's been a while since I gathered some feedback from my watchers about my shop/prices and all! Usually I use a poll, but when it comes to anonymous answers people tend to answer just for a joke, or they answer without thinking. Especially when it comes to pricing, people love to pick the cheapest option. xD Which I totally understand-- who doesn't want cool stuff for cheap?! But this time I want to get something more substantial! You could win a custom charm! :D4 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
And to inspire you to take a moment to fill it out all deviants who finish the survey will be entered into a giveaway to win a free charm from me! I will be giving away ONE 2" chibi charm, of any character you want!
More examples of what my chibis look like are here: http://grandmathunderpants.deviantart.com/gallery/29951316
- All you need to do to enter is complete these questions, and I'll take down your username and assign it a number.

Writing a good Artcrossing profileWriting a good Artcrossing profile4 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
The basics - writing your first profile
What are the requirements for a profile?
It can be a short or as long as you like, as long as you don't give any links to your dA profile, and provide a few different things to inspire a wide range of artists. However, when writing your profile to join our group, there are some things you need to keep in mind.
It's good to share a bit about yourself and what you can do, but it's more important to share the stuff that you like. Remember that your profile isn't to tell others what you can make and do, but to give them ideas on what to make FOR you. A common problem we have with new profiles is that they say a bit about themselves but don't include any information that the artists who get the profile can use!
For example, if you were to receive a profile like this

Update (December 17): Alright guys, I've decided to make some changes to the deadlines for sending in gifts since a lot of people have had complications with the dates o__o I'm allowing you to send them in ALL THE WAY from the 21st to the 28th; so that gives you some time after X-mas in case you're traveling. Still, it's preferrable you get it done on Christmas or close to it >u>; Procedure is still the same. The earliest you're allowed to post it is the 21st. And then you send me a link, I post it on a journal (I might post it up later because I'm traveling on the 21st) and you also send one to your recipient If you have any questions, PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK WITH ME!
Hello everyone, and welcome to the Secret Santa event of 2012! Much like every year, I ended up caving and deciding to host this event, for the simple fact that many and more of the SS events on deviantART are becoming invite-only. And what with Christmas just around the corn

GameStop employees are heroes.OK I still have qualms with GameStop corprate, but GameStop employees are officially heroes and I love them.GameStop employees are heroes.4 years ago in Personal More Like This
So I went to GameStop for a Kid Icarus event with Eneko and his boyfriend, and while I was there I bought Doctor Lautrec because they had it used. Then we left and went down the road to Taco Bell. Out in the parking lot someone called to us. It was a GameStop employee. He had my wallet! My stupid ass left it on the counter!
So this dude got in his car and followed us all the way to Taco Bell to return it to me. I was so happy and I felt so good about humanity. And also stupid for forgetting my wallet. xD
BUT YES. HEROES DO EXIST!
The Pre-Raphaelite BrotherhoodThe BrotherhoodThe Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood was founded in 1848, London, by William Holman Hunt, John Everett Millais and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Later on it was joined by William Michael Rossetti, James Collinson, Frederic George Stephens and Thomas Woolner. Their plan was to change art by removing the mechanistic approach which appeared after Raphael and Michelangelo. The seven considered Raphael's paintings having a corrupting influence on art, hence the name.
Intentions and thoughts
The Brotherhood wanted to return to Quattrocento Italian art for its detail, strong colours and compositions. They published a periodical, The Germ, to promote their ideas and creations and recorded their debates in the Pre-Raphaelite Journal. They specifically opposed the founder

What's with all the boobies and dicks and pictures of naked girls in their bathrooms,
posing for their cellphone cam. Whore much?!
This here is not youporn, fellas.
And whenever I report something like that, nothing gets done.
No violation here.
I can't take anymore Hitler-Nazi-Racism shit either.
There are so many Hitler-Fanart pictures here.. it makes me nauseous.
There are LOADs of people who have swastikas as their avatar?!
And again. Doesn't matter if I report it.
The level of mediocre, shitty quality rip-off pictures is getting too damn high.
Please, please, please stop it with the low quality 'I'm a photographer 'cause I have a camera' bullshit.
And as of now,
I AM GOING TO GIVE A LOT OF CRITICISM.
Want it or not.
I see a shitty picture of a girl with big breasts that has 1000+ faves?
I'm going to criticize the shit out of whatever I dislike about it.
I swear if deviant art stays that way, I'm out of her

Now, they're getting less and less. This site still has great artists and thoughtful commenters. But the percentage of comments containing pure idiocy is getting more and more every month. I am sick and tired of sweeping my galleries free of comments featuring masturbation, cum, tits, insults, and confrontational ignorance as a natural part of my daily routine. This is not my life anymore. This isn't my site anymore.
I have already moved most of the main offenders (deviations that just piled up idiocy in the comments) to storage a few months ago, and have now disabled comments on all my artwork.
I may still post some work here with comments turned off, but if you want to know what I'm up to (or talk to me about it - which I'd love!), the best place for that is Facebook:

- You want to connect, you want to put your own DNA into the picture and connect.
-Vulnerability. Telling someone who you are. Honestly revealing parts of yourself sincerely. The key to animation is sincerity. Step beyond your walls and share as an artist.
- Animation is the ultimate art form. No other art form will challenge you as much as animation can.
- You always want to be restless, I always had one foot out the door at Disney.
- it is important to not hold back and share all you have to your fellow artists. Got to keep giving it out and trust me it'll pour right back in.
- Drawing is about feeling.
- Conveying an emotion of peacefulness is just trying to capture someone living in that moment.

Introduction to setting up your storeIntroduction to setting up your storeIntroduction to setting up your store2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
I have been there, deciding to sell your work is a scary decision. What do I do? How do I sell? How do I accept money? What do I do so that I don't lose money? What if no one buys my work? I went through every emotion and scary thought before I began. Three years after I opened my store I finally feel comfortable giving advice about it. This is a huge topic and I could write tons of info about it, so I'll begin with this introduction and build up on future articles. I will also write a second article about taking commissions, wait for it later this week!
Last year I wrote some guidelines with some more information about selling your work online, please consider reading it too! This article will focus on setting up your store.
Disclaimer: I'm not the most successful online seller, and I don't intend to be - I'm pretty busy with my studies, and most of my business comes from custom commissions, no
