Cycle of Destruction and CreationHope bursts through in spring's desireCycle of Destruction and Creation4 months ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Destroyed creation, whim inspired
Of chaos, fate, events transpired
Life cast on the funeral pyre
A random die thrown into dawn
Finds target in a helpless fawn
But life unto the lion born
Such is the cycle, unadorned
A flower blows on mountainside
Resplendent in sweet nature's tide
Then falls beneath a human's eye
Tis cut, then on the hearth resides
A monk sits in his lone retreat
And meditates the obsolete
While children play with bloodied feet
And milk runs dry in a mother's teat
And in this world a subtle sound
Echoes through the earthly bound
Spins, travels, racing all around
When all is lost, new hope is found

To realize how much she really missed him.
A draw of frosty regard woke her abruptly
From pleasant dreams of grandeur.
She's feeling old and tired, despair in every movement.
She wants to think it's over
But is it really?
Because in war, feelings and actions are seldom one's own anymore.
It appeared as if there was nothing left but him.
Everything that he aimed to be, and truly was.
A collection of vignettes, spotlight on his feelings for her.
A burning sensation, aggression, obsession.
She was Beautiful, shockingly beautiful.
And so sorrowful. The curve of her arms
The way her eyes glazed over.
The way her lips remained immobile until that first cry.
Oh, the beauty so great, it was sinful
Watching her pass through like tumble weeds.
He chokes back a gasp at the view
For there in the soft velvet curtain in which she hid
His reflection stared back in awe and confusion.
His own ugly perception of self worth coming forth.
She had written secrets

It scares me
I know IT is going to take you
Take you away from me
That's the last thing I need
The last thing I want
I won't let IT take you
IT wont' get away with this
IT may have ruined me,
But IT will not lay a finger on you
You know I love you...
Please remember that
Because I can no longer hide
I can no longer save you
Run my love...
Run as far away as you can
Don't look back
You won't see me
Break what's left of us
Break my little heart
IT has become me
I have become IT

I listen to what you say.
Then save those words for a rainy day.
Because each word is a work of art.
And I keep them all in my heart.
You healed me slowly.
Gave me your love.
That's why your the only angel in my life.
And when I lost the one I loved.
My knees went weak,
You saw my cry.
But you still tell me I'm invincible.
Even though my words aren't pieces of art,
And my touch isn't as soft or delicate.
Though I'm frayed at the edges,
I'll always be yours.
For you are my angel,
And your wings are always around me.

My blood has stained the ice.
My mind is fogging
My eyes are losing focus
My body is numb.
I've been the guardian for so long
Pushing myself to ensure the safety of those I care about.
Now I need your help.
But you don't even know where I am.
Now, I find myself wondering:
If a teen dies in the woods, but no one is around to hear him, does he make a sound?

Keep me going, keep me
The sky grows bluer,
When you say those words,
The ones we're always thinking,
That keep us going, keep us
Slowly the wind calms,
When I hear those words,
The ones I enjoy embracing,
That keep me going, keep me
And the sun shines brighter,
When I return those words,
You know the ones, that
Keep you going, keep you
You know the words,
That keep us breathing,
They will never cease
Their eternal meaning-
I Love You.

Not to overexert
You said not a word,
Tears defrosting down Your cheeks
After a well-rehearsed speech
Of why We cannot be.
Only now did I realize
How slowly I'd been dying.
Sweet water stung my eyes,
"You're So Beautiful When You're Crying"
She looked up a moment
Made a small sound
Said "I Love You," smiled softly,
Then fell to the ground.
I knew after that
She had been testing me.
She wanted to know if I was in,
If there was a 'We.'
My heart has frozen over
And as night turns to day,
I only grow colder knowing
You've gone away.

I've done my best to help.
I've given everything I have.
I've never been this sorry.

They once held me tenderly, a radiation of maternal sun
On a darkness that seeped in little to none.
But now, they grasp in a clawing hold,

They chased my own mocha twigs with honey laughs,
Her and I similarly the equation of two halves.
But now, he kicks me to and fro,
A sand bag bleeding scarlet, a continuous flow.
Hers were sweet, amber petals that found home in the fields,
A real-life image of what heaven itself yields.
But now, his ice is pierced deep in my core,
My body crumpled, wheezing, upon the dirt-ridden floor.
Her presence was sugar to me, a mellifluous sigh,
So the last clasp of her hand felt as if I too would die.
But now, the web of scars and lies ribbon on my skin,
Like insomnia, falsely vanished but would once again begin.

If you were here in bed with me.
Feeling the tear run down my cheek,
Feeling a pain in my soul,
A pain made by sorrow & grief.
I can sense,
I hear your voice,

I feel a pain,
The pain in my heart,
That just wont disappear

My heart beats only for you
I will gain your love.
In my dreams, you will be forever
We will fly away on a cloud
You & Me, We're true love
You are my soul mate
I try to dream,
That the evil is gone,
And I'm together with you.
I feel pain,
Inside my heart,
When your not there,
To soothe it.
When I miss you,
I break into tears,
Soon, my heart will burst.
The only thing for me,
Is within, you and me,
I never want to miss you.

She counted every second apart and keeps the light off.
She's fading gently and almost forgets to breathe.
Faulty eyesight, and her heart skips a beat.
The bedroom warps to another time and place, some place safe.
It didn't hurt to say "I love you" then.
It was always welcomed with a smile on his lips.
She'd stare for hours into his eyes, little did she know even beautiful things lie.
He'd kiss her forehead and stroke her cheek.
She'd lean in and feel herself get weak.

His arms held on tight and they could stay like this all night.
They'd be pressed so close neither could tell who was breathing and she thought she fit in this scene.

What cologne you used,
How you smiled,
And how stubborn you were
about me tying your shoes.
I love to listen to you laugh,
And still get butterflies
dialing your number at night,
I melt when I hear your voice,
And love to be near you
Oh and the way we'd argue over nothing-

So many songs make me think of you now when they play,
The words spill out in old memories,

When ever an airplane passes over head,

Miss your Lips,
And all those times we'd whisper right before we'd kiss.
And I'd miss looking at you,
But then maybe you'd miss me too.

And I'm not scared of things that remind me of you,

The ambivalence afterwards
It melts the soul
And sends the heart and soul

And doesnt let out
Like the breathing
The breathing of a broken heart
And the breathing of a molten soul
The empty, dark abyss behind the eyes
The eyes of the heartbroken.
