Yet again the Mass Effect Fandom proved that it will not leave the ending in the state it was presented in the game. A certain (fan!) mod was created (and is right now in the testing phase) a Happy Ending Mod for ME3. We can destroy the Reapers, Shepard lives (EDI and Geth too) and most importantly of all we don't have to worry about the Star Child.Instruction how to install it and the mod itself can be found here:

*sigh* "Hard to believe its all over."
A small tug at his leg snaps him back to reality. Looking down, he spies little Syren looking up at him hesitantly, a teddy bear clutched tightly in one arm. A warm smile spreads across his face.

Syren blushes furiously and looks down at her feet. Wrex chuckles to himself. (She is so unlike her father) "It's alright, I don't bite."
