Love wasn't much of a friend of mine.'
Jazz didn't know whether to be upset or angry. Why? Well, he'd just had an explosive argument with his best friend, Prowl. Now with any other bot, he'd be able to forget about it in a flash and make up later; not now though. Hearing Prowl lose his cool and shouting - yes, SHOUTING - at Jazz to "Stop being such a glitch and leave me alone," made Jazz's processor throb. He couldn't get rid of the horrifying mental image, not to mention that he couldn't for the life of him remember how the argument had started in the first place! All he remembered was his and Prowl's voice raising until Jazz snapped a particularly hurtful comment (which he now wanted to beat himself up over) - which went something along the lines of "Ya sparkless drone!" Prowl then said his comment, which had made Jazz storm off to his quarters, and here he was.
How on Earth had all of this happened?

I've gone to sweep the world away
and cast the thought of lonely tides
into my blanket of empty sighs.
Somewhere beyond all of the tears,
is a heart that's wanted for years.
But with tired arches in my brow,
I've come to sudden slumber now.
Forget the words that were said,
the emotions lingering in your head.
And in your sleep, come to find
the comfort that you had in mind.
The world is shallow, it doesn't care,
but you will gain what's needed here.
And when you ascend from coma's dream,
with eyes enveloped in heaven's gleam...
Just realize that you'll be okay,
even if it's not for today.
And in the face of lonely tides,
the presence of His light resides.
If WeIf we look at each other, will we turn to stone? If We3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
It seems almost forbidden for us to be alone.
If we speak, will our voices shatter the earth?
It's just enough to make someone hurt.
If we touch, will the heavens fall down to our feet?
Never could there be anything anywhere so sweet.
If we kiss, will we split the fabric of time in two?
There is absolutely nothing I'd not endure for you.

The eyes that pierced her soul
She clings onto his body
Hoping for him to be there
Praying he will stay here

"Do you know where Zuko is?"
The twelve year old frowned slightly. "You'd rather see him than me?" she asked skeptically. Her tone was icy and a familiar sensation of fear chilled my blood. But I had learned to restrain my emotions. I didn't let my fear show.
"No, princess," I replied calmly, "That's not it. It's just that I haven't seen him yet today and was wondering if he was alright."
Her hazel eyes bore into mine, searching for a possible motive for seeking out her brother. Apparently she was unable to see through my expressionless face. "He's out in the garden. Something about an Agni Kai."
"Thank you, princess." I bowed and ran off in the direction of the garden.
Despite how often Azula would put Zuko down, I had always had my own thoughts about him. I appreciated him more than anyone else in my life. He wasn't like Azula. She expected to be treated like a princess. But even though

LamplightAs I walk through the forestLamplight3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
And the sticks start to crack
Under my feet, as I walk
Not once looking back
The air is quite humid
My face is quite damp
From the swarms of insects
Flying near the shine of my lamp
They don't know where they're going
As their face hits the glass
But more keep on coming
Every tree that I pass
The soil was dying
The plants long forgotten
With roots that looked shriveled
And far worse than rotten
The smell is so pungent
The odor filling my nose
With every new wave of the stench
The insects' swarm grows
The light from the lamp
Compared to the expanse of the dark
Was like going on a journey
Unprepared to embark
As I trudged through the rocks
And the rain-soaked dirt
I felt the bugs and sweat
Soaking through my ripped shirt
Walking through this forest
So perfectly secluded
Even with the ground
And the air so polluted
With the bugs trailing behind me
Following my dim glow
Even though I had no idea
Where I was going to go
Made me realize
That we're all bugs follow

Sent there alone to bleed and roast,
Yet no one prayed for his forgiveness,
The one sinner who needed them most.
The devil lost all he once had,
With nothing but a cursed, sneered name,
Spat upon and thrown away,
His misdeeds now his only fame.
No one praised him through his hardships,
No one smiles 'til he's gone,
I walk the path of thorns with him,
With Satan, the Forgotten Son.

Midnight MotherhoodThe Fire Nation palace was calm and peaceful at the hush of midnight. The summer breeze brought a wonderful chill to those in their warm beds that night. "Please be quiet, you darling little parasite," cooed Fire Lady Mai to the swathed bundle in her arms. She'd been pacing through the nursery for almost half an hour now, rocking the baby steadily in her arms. Clearly it wasn't working since the little darling was still screaming its little head off.
Mai had long since lost her patience. She had done everything she was supposed to. She'd changed it, feed it, burped it, changed it again and still it continued with the waterworks. Why wouldn't it stop?
The young mother debated upon her options. The Royal Nanny was on leave (Zuko had been in a rather annoyingly generous mood), so that was out. Her next choice was to wake up her husband and make it all his problem, just for the fun of it. Unfortunat

Feeling it tickle down into his lungs
Like a swallowed butterfly.
Grabbing the continents with his hands,
As earth fell through his fingers into nothingness,
He watched his destruction,
And felt no guilt.
The ground quaked inside the lines and furrows of his palms and clenched fingers
And the salt water burned and beat against the strong, healthy lung tissue
But it was no use.
That was the end.

On The Threshold of CreationDaughter of Hecate,On The Threshold of Creation2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I was born upon the threshold
of one year and the next:
a tiny earthen creature,
awash in a sea of stars.
Too late did I remember
Capricorn is the goat with
the tail of a fish,
and perhaps my legs were never meant
to tread upon the earth.
I've heard tell
that Saturn is the harshest master,
and will never be satisfied
by words alone.
In the beginning I was sure-footed
as the goat who glitters in stars above me,
ideas sprung full-grown from my head,
as Athena born from Zeus
Too late do I recall
that prophecy foretold,
Zeus' own creation
would surpass even him.
I'm still trying to puzzle out
whether my own creation
will surpass me, and live on,
or destroy me altogether.
Yet still I weave my words,
and endeavor to make Athena proud.
She beckons me home,
tall and stern from woven banner:
tempts me with promises of "Eureka",
and still I pray, to any who would hear me
that my living words will whisper
"non omnis moriar."

The hawk in the sky flys high!
But meanwhile, our hopes and our hearts run low
And the children begin to die.
The breeze in the trees is gentle and calm,
The lamb in the field is carefree!
But somewhere a child that could fit in my palm
Will never be known to me.
All across this land of ours
The butchers are preparing their knives
And after they've killed and culled for hours
They go home to their children and wives.
Somewhere a woman is desperate and wild
And has no where else to turn
So she figures instead to murder her child
She has a lesson to learn.
All over this country, all over this world
They march in the halls and the streets!
Together they spill more blood, clotted and curled
Than all of man's armies and fleets.
Nonno's GardenIt’s strange to think that you’re not here anymore.Nonno's Garden2 years ago in Emotional More Like This
I remember when we were younger and we’d arrive to see you. The first place we’d go was to the window, pressing our faces against the glass to try and catch a glimpse of you. We’d look out, and you’d be there. Like you always were. In the garden.
Each trip was different, an adventure. There were rows of neatly sown lettuce seeds, bean stalks twice as tall as we were, ripe strawberries just waiting to be found by our greedy little fingers. Tomatoes would be taken and made into sauce, lemons would be squeezed to create limoncello, grapes transformed into a sticky grape jelly which tasted of summer and childhood dreams.
I kneel down and gently touch the small weeds which are beginning to sprout. I can feel the soft, moist soil. I remember your weathered hands sifting through it, removing the weeds that now grow from the ground. It’s hard to believe that I’m now alone, in the place whe

To the boy who teased me about my acne,
my skin's cleared up now.
I hope you never have to deal with what I did,

To the girl who called me a freak who I thought was my friend,
I have wonderful friends now.
I hope you do too,
and I hope you respect them and that they respect you too.
To the kids who teased my friends when I wasn't there to defend them,
I'm always there for my friends now.
I hope you are too,
and I hope that your friends are always there for you.
To the boy who drew on my artwork,
I got picked for a program for talented young artists.
I hope that you find your dreams,
and that you appreciate opportunities as they come to you.
To the friend who ditched me for the popular group,
I have friends who stick by me all the time now.
I hope your new friends love and respect you as much as I did,
and that you always look out for them.
To the boy who whispered behind my back,
I never listened to you.

with bow and arrow, and began to say
"For the loneliness of yours, I have the cure:
a love for you, sweet and pure."
I said, "What kind of angel are you?
Why don't you look for something else to do?
You shoot people, play with their lives
to give them love, which is only strife;
I wonder how fun it must be
to play with other's feelings for pure vanity.
Then, next time you come in my way,
you mind your business, and go away!"
He stared perplexed. What to do, he didn't know.
Then I've stolen the bow and the arrows.
