My second entry for the Wacom Contest. ^_^

This is something i've always wanted to draw, and i thought it would fit in with the theme of Dreams for the Future, since it symbolizes hope in the most dismal situation.

Feedback welcome!

Whew, this is pretty big. It took me about 10 hours of work.
There's only 1 way that leads to the end. I don't think that anyone is going to try and find the way :)

Growing up in Michigan has given me a deep appreciation for Fall. Most of my favorite memories of Michigan involve long walks through vibrant forests, crisp air that turned my nose red, crunchy leaves, roasted almonds and hot spiced apple cider...

A lot of people look at fall as something sad or melancholy as everything begins to die before winter. But it's not so! This is the final frenzy from flora and fauna as everyone scurries to prepare for winter. There is so much to do, so much going on! Even the wind seems to push us on, hurrying us along that sweeping path toward the cold and dark months ahead.

For A Picture Paints A Thousand Words contest :hmm:

If a picture might paint a thousand words, I thought it might paint a thousand worlds just as well :XD:
At least, that's how I interpret the initial task.
And a story, about souls, spirits and how fragile our world actually is.

Adobe Photoshop CS3 + Wacom.

Like many other artist I was inspired by the Rocketeer retro jet pack and made my own design, the "Rocket Boy".

Unfortunately I don't have the time to turn it into a 7 color vector, so it could be easier to print, yet I really enjoyed making this model.

work in progress

Being a bit tired, loopy, and having done waaay too much work on designing stickers for this campaign I decided it was time to have a Tolkien geek-out moment and address the needs of the Watchers.

Translation:
"Defend the Gate"
"Dwarves Suck"

[The text is written in Sindarin Tengwar 'low-elvish', and yes, that *is* a Star of the House of FŽanor in the bottom left corner. :ashamed: ]

I also have many other submissions: [link]

"DERNHELM: Begone, foul dwimmerlaik, lord of carrion! Leave the dead in peace!"

- Dernhelm was the name Eowyn used while desguised as a Rohirrim soldier.

Beowulf is an Old English heroic epic poem of unknown authorship, dating as recorded in the Nowell Codex manuscript from between the 8th[1][2] and the early 11th century,[3] set in Denmark and Sweden. Commonly cited as one of the most important works of Anglo-Saxon literature,
Beowulf last stand against the Fire breathing dragon revenge for his son Grendel.

Beowulf has been the subject of much scholarly study, theory, speculation, discourse, and, at 3182 lines, has been noted for its length.

:iconcopyrightedplz: :icondonotuseplz::iconmyartplz:

In the poem, Beowulf, a hero of the Geats, battles three antagonists: Grendel, who has been attacking the resident warriors of a mead hall called Heorot in Denmark; Grendel's mother; and an unnamed dragon. The last battle takes place later in life, after returning to Geatland (modern southern Sweden), where Beowulf has become king. In the final battle, Beowulf is fatally wounded. After his death his retainers bury him in a tumulus in Geatland.
