Galadriel is my favourite Tolkien character, I've drawn her a million times, but I like this one; it is the very first drawing of the Lady of Lorien I ever did. She is trying to catch a glimpse of the future in her mirror.
First off, yes, this is pretty old. This is a trade with ~karadarkthorn that I did Last February o.- Then she asked if I could get it done before her and Screwy's Wedding Day, and I didn't. She asked if I could get it done before their anniversary. I didn't. I've been feeling bad for about half a year here, and Finally I was able to finish it tonight. The actual drawing is a few month old, the inking and character coloring about 2-3 months old. I'm so sorry the quality on that part isn't the best... x.x Though I did the background tonight. Brushes downloaded from www.rebel-heart.net You may say "The background looks to cluttered and stuffy" Well, it doesn't >.< I mean, the background took me about 45 minutes to configure, mmk? v.v; There are about 20 different brushes in there. I was going for a pastel-y soft, loving colors. I hope I got it.
And I won't bore you anymore, but Kara, and Screwy, I hope you like it, and I'm sorry for the wait. Kara you've been so patient with me, and I can't thank you enough for that <3 And also, thank you for your half of the trade. It was so cute
Edit: I forgot to mention- she wanted both themselves dressed up as Aragorn and Arwen, in their coronation outfits ^^ I must say, finding the refs was hell to go through, but was interesting Yes, Arwen/Kara's dress sleeves are texturized *twitch*
I was watching fantasia a few months ago with Lenny and Van, and I decided that I wanted to work on centaurs...
Centaurs with real, working anatomy.
So I sat down and did a quick sketch to get an idea of the proportions and then did the skeletal layout.
Things to note:
If you look at Greek/Roman sculpture and art, centaurs are not as huge as mots people make them, and I tried to stay true to that, instead of more current, popular, media. thus, A centaur stands at about 12 hands at the whithers, about the same as a Welsh Pony.
The human torso segment of the centaur masses about the same as a horses head and neck, perhaps a bit heavier, but not that much
To counter the weight of the upper body and provide tighter manuvering and the like, the hind quarters are based on a quarter horse, raised and heavily muscled.
No, you're not seeing things, there are THREE toes on the ground, not one. I wanted some slight differance with a true horse and I wanted them to not have the exposed frog that a horse does.
The head is not in proportion for 'just slap a human torso on a horses body'. If you notice the headis probably nearly twice the size a humans would be. They've got a bigger body, so they also have a bigger brain to body ratio.
The jaw and nose are also differant tehn a humans, giving them a 'roman' nose like apperance and a HEAVY jaw.
There's quite a bit of space inbetween teh vertibre of the 'human' lower back area, that is to allow maximum flexibility. A centaur can lean down and touch his/her front toes; or twist around and reach tehir haunches/tail.
The ribs continue up from the horse ribs. Tehre are NOT two seperate rib cages, instead three of the ribs in front of the front hooves create a basic 'elvis', then are almost completly lost in the waist section to allow manuvering sace, tehn form a rib cage like that of a human for the foremost 'sixth limbs/arms' to attach to.
...Oh and the arms are slightly longer in proportion then a humans as well.
This one here was done more for an armor concept then anything. I’ve always been a big fan of the Avatar Raiment armor set for Priests on WoW (Most particularly the Winged Spaulders) so I wanted to take that idea and remake it into my own styling.
It was an interesting challenge to design a wing that was stylized. One which did not look like a real wing yet had all the characteristics of one while trying not to create something that looked like a demon or dragon wing in the process. I am most pleased with the end result and believe I’ve accomplished that goal.
Hope you all enjoy.

The anthropomorphic animals that inhabit the world of Anakuro have, for the most part, evolved beyond the animalistic behaviors that separate them from their quadrupedal kin. There are certain things, however, that can cause even the most civilized wolf-boy to act on instinct...
This is a little gag strip that I did as filler for Kuro and my furry webcomic "Anakuro ([link])." Check it out if you get the chance...we're still fairly new, but it's been a lot of fun so far and we have a great community on the forum
