Inspired by a Portal 2 DLC, this isn't really spoilers, so no worries my friends.
This took me a while, I actually sketched this one out a little while ago and took my time colouring it. I've tried a cel-shading sort of approach which I think works well because I've decided I'm too lazy for actual gradient shading. Same thing with the background, the Central AI Chamber is actually made up of panels that stick out from the walls and I was far too lazy to draw every single panel. Plus it would take the focus away from GLaDOS and her...babies...
I really like my GLaDOS...I'm very proud of how she turned out. I hope you all like her too (because like it or not, she doesn't like you).
Portal 2 and all elements/characters belong to Valve.
EDIT: Re-uploaded because there was still part of a colour reference visible.
"Remember when I first told you how to find that little portal thing you love so much? Thought you'd die on the way, if I'm honest. All the others did." -Wheatley to Chell (scary quote huh?)
This is a little picture of Wheatley plotting evily in the bowels of his "lair".
Well guys, I did this *cough*sloppy*cough* little sketch to test out a different wheatley design. I've been working on the quality of my work lately and instead, came up with this in record time... heh-heh... perhaps that's why it looks like I colored it with my foot.
I found Portal just recently even though it was released in 2007. I picked it up because I thought the title was interesting.
I was a bit suprised to advance through the test chambers, waiting for the enemies to pop up and the game to actually start. And then it was suddenly over. At first I was a bit annoyed by the jokes.. for example the cake thing too overused to be funny (I actually didn't realize it was Portal that started it). But I did get into it eventually and actually enjoyed the game (and GLaDOS' o' so cynical monologue).
Anyway, even though our relationship started slightly clumsily I ended up playing the sequel shortly after. I knew what to expect this time but damn, Portal 2 felt much more like a real game. The characters got more depth and I liked the trip to the past of the facility. I think the game triggered a bit of a Stockholm syndrome and by the end of the game I hoped the mute lunatic would stay in Aperture laboratories with the homicidal AI. My poor ex had to listen to me babble about the game too much. She eventually agreed to play the co-op with me so it wasn't all in vain.
I rarely play favourites but it'd be easy to pick my favourite game antagonist. Perhaps even the protagonist. PS. the turret is "different".
Just something I drew almost immediately after finishing Portal 2 GLaDOS and her irrational fear of birds. You gotta love her.
Done in pencil, nothing special. Just some fun.
Honestly I had drawn this before I'd even started Robots have Souls, and it's been sitting in my flashdrive all this time. I was just looking through my files when I spotted it and was like "Why the hell haven't I uploaded this to DA yet?"
