Yeah, no way am I colouring this/adding sound. Took long enough as it was! (no thanks to Wheatley's "help" and the resulting Photoshop crash) ...And I really DGAF that the portal is completely stationary/not glowing or interesting, or that the portal gun is pulled out of...a pocket dimension in her jumpsuit (alternately hammerspace; who really cares?); I focused on Chell, here. x_x
Just a challenge to see if I could do some longer, full-body stuff. Totally out of my comfort zone, here, and it's still very short, but had fun regardless.
PHEW. meant to upload this last week when it was finished!
WOW THIS WAS A BIG PROJECT. Me and a group of 4 other people had about 3 weeks to put this whole thing together. My group did a GREAT job and I love em all for all the work they did. Everyone went above and beyond and did an amazing job. We had a great pipeline that was actually purely by chance. Everyone had a strong suit that happened to be a key job: Programer, character artist, scenery, animator, and sound.
There are a few things that are a little wonky still, but over-all we're very happy with this! Apparently the teacher was as well, since I got an A in the class!
Please keep in mind this whole game was NOT done by me. I'm in the credits as Clarissa Reid but more specifically I created: The character (DID NOT ANIMATE) The monsters (DID NOT ANIMATE) Pictures in opening cinematic Game Over screen Win screen (DID NOT ANIMATE) The collectible items The dead guy (tell me if you get far enough to find him His name is Fred) The background items in level 2 As well as proposed the idea and story (though we all corroborated)
Make sure you read the instructions!
And YES I'm aware the opening text goes too fast. Our animator (and the rest of us) weren't really sure how to slow it down. So sorry about that.
Speaking of the opening text, she's in the credits but a big thank you to my lovely gf for helping out with the opening poem~
BIG DISCLAIMER!!!-- this animation heeeaaaavvviillyyy references Milo Thatch from Atlantis: The Lost Empire (lol, I've seen some Milo!Wheatley stuff floating around, and it cracks me up muchly xD). Obviously he never says this line or moves EXACTLY like this, but a couple of frames/poses in here are lifted directly from that film. It was an interesting challenge to shift and adapt it; in fact, that's all this was at first, just a challenging exercise for the fun of it. Then I just kept making it more and more Wheatley-like.
Anyway, derp. I'm no animator. I should really get back to writing...or comic-ing...what even am I doing...?
(oh great, he's on a loop again...YES YOU ARE SHUT UP deeerrrrp, forgot about the easy fix via right-clicking)
