Devious Journal EntrySo for those of you that don't know, Michael's is having a giant sale on clay until Sunday (I think) or today. All clay are $1.00, so if you were thinking about starting to work with clay, now is the time to go buy some!
I know I plan to go out and buy a ridiculous amount myself. c:
Also, I'd like to clarify that the critiques I'm offering are for polymer clay items only. This is the medium I work the most with and am most familiar with, and it's the only one I'm comfortable enough critiquing. Sorry if there was any confusion - I probably should have been more clear with my last post.
~Still Got Legs~ 11th DoctorxReader Chapter OneYou sighed as you walked down the street, toward the nearest coffee shop, where you stopped for your morning coffee everyday before work. Today was just another ordinary day, which bored you to tears.~Still Got Legs~ 11th DoctorxReader Chapter One2 years ago in Sci-Fi More Like This
Ordinary days in this town consisted of you going to work in the Hastings bookstore that was a mere 5 minutes from your apartment, which you shared with your two best friends, Charlie and Jenna. They both went to school in the city that was about fifty miles away from this town, so You was mostly alone until about nine thirty at night.
They didn't return last night at all, and you woke up on the living room sofa alone, the television still on. This wasn't unusual behaviour; their parents lived in the aforementioned city, but they'd always called before they spent the night anywhere, because they knew how anxious you got when you knew something was amiss.
But, they hadn't texted, nor had they called, which was very uncharacteristic of them.
So you had frantically called both o
Dragons Rise in the Brave Tangled TardisIt was a quiet evening in the lands of our four heroes. The lanterns had flown, the dragons were sleeping, the will ‘o wisps were nowhere to be seen, and the snow fell with a silent grace. Could things get any better? Perhaps, though all were content for the time being. Could things get worse? Certainly, but for now everything leaned towards the better end of the spectrum. Could things change? I wanna be a Starkid member
I wanna have the things they've got
I could be a Starkid member
There's just one little thing they are I'm not
All of my life I've pictured them up there
Doing what they do in Illinois
I may not be up there with 'em
But I've got what it takes
I've got a hunger and thirst for performing,
I wanna travel the country
The future is now so I don't see why
That they're not right for me!
And I'll admit it's all a dream, but who says it can't be real?
They may be far away, but I can safely say
That doesn't change the way I feel!
I wanna be, a Starkid member
Even if they're a little strange
Maybe now, I'm not a member
But all of that is right about to change!
All of your life you've had your head stuck up in the gascious atmosphere
Don't forget that math 's important, and science is what you need
When you're a student, you have a purpose
Like it or not, your grades come first

Eleventh Doctor x Reader 11 For what seemed like forever the Doctor searched for you, hoping that you were okay. The sound of his hearts pounded in his ears as he ran from one corner to another, shouting your name. The knots in his stomach only got tighter every minute he wasted looking. Eventually, the door he had found a while ago seemed like the only answer.Eleventh Doctor x Reader 112 years ago in Sci-Fi More Like This
The Doctor paused at the door and pulled out his sonic screwdriver, hoping that unlocking the door would be easy. Sadly, it was more complicated than computers from the 95th century. He still hacked away, pressing buttons and numbers and finally he unlocked the door. It opened with such a jerk that it scared the Doctor.
As he cautiously stepped in, the first thing he saw was the emotionless, metal face of a Cyberman. Rust had pooled out of its eyes and mouth like tears that had dried up over years of waiting. Of course, it has to be the Cybermen, the Doctor thought, but he couldn't deny that he was scared.

I'll wipe the tears from your face,
I'll listen to all the cries you scream in desperation,
and I'll come to you immediately when I hear the words "I need you".
Life can be painful,
that pain is made even greater when you look over your shoulder and see no one,
but you don't have to worry about that,
I'll be there when the world starts to rain down on you,
I don't mind getting wet.
As long as I'm beside you you'll never have to endure anything alone.
I'm here for you.

come with me
so that you can see
all that I do.

the wonders of the sky
we can see the stars,

Tea TimeThe meeting had been excruciatingly ordinary. As expected the countries had fallen into their usual disarray as soon as the typical rivalries where stoked. England and France wasted an entire hour arguing over crepes and scones while Japan tried his best to diffuse the tension but only managed to somehow get Spain angry about he and England’s pirate days which had gotten Romano grumbling to himself about what an idiot the other was which in turn made Italy upset and go crying to Germany for help that caused him to begin yelling and somehow anger Hungary to the point where she began to threaten the other with her frying pan which made Prussia cackle like a mad man until he was actually given a sizable bruise with said cooking implement that in turn reminded China that he does, in fact, carry a wok that he could use to threaten America, who had been pleading the fifth the entire time because he still thinks that his laws apply everywhere in the world which is why he’sTea Time3 years ago in General Fiction More Like This

LiliumTo the wilting lilies on my kitchen counter:Lilium1 year ago in Emotional More Like This
I am reluctant to throw you out.
You bloomed within a day. Well, some of you. I snipped off your blood orange anthers with the kitchen shears, coating my fingertips with pollen before it could dust the slate and stain my clothes. Hand jobs are always easier to clean up.
I forgot to water you once. I'm sorry.
In the mornings I plucked chlorophyll-starved leaves from the countertop and tossed them in the rubbish bin. Your support system fell one by one, even as you still grew and opened up to the world.
Your petals began to turn limp and brown. I cut away the flowers that were no longer beautiful, but insisted the rest were good enough to keep – until they dropped off in pink clumps, leaving bare stigma behind.
There is not much left of you anymore. I putter over a few unopened bulbs among foreign greenery I can't name: small fading leaves and rubbery green leaves with velvet underbellies.
Still, I am reluctant to throw you out.

Guided by the aftermath, she was always two steps behind.
What did the world look like to the girl who had been through it all?
Braved the heaviest of storms,
yet skipping over cracks in the pavement.
They said her eyes were the wisps of clouds before the storm.
To him they were reflections of pages overlooked.
She said it was like she lived the life of someone she had never met.
Laid out to dry, yesterdays news.
He knew her as the girl who was built to never collapse.
He wished he was too.
He loved her more than words could say, and yet her pain was such,
that at times, he feared she wouldn’t make it.
But on nights like these, even when it threatened to consume her,
he became convinced that somehow she would.
Missing PersonsI live in a world of fear.Missing Persons2 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
I am not the only one who is afraid; no, every person here fears the night, if not for themselves then for someone they love. Mothers fear for their children, husbands for their wives, children for their sisters and brothers. No one fears for their friends; no one has friends anymore. No one dares.
It wasn’t always this way. I remember days before the fear, before the world was so paralyzed with its own terror that it forgot how to live. I remember walking through a park after sunset just for the pleasure of it. I remember being late for an appointment without anyone beginning to plan my Memorial. I remember life before people began to disappear.
It started slowly, coming on so gradually that it’s hard to say when it became normal for people to vanish on their way to the grocery store, or while walking the dog. Suddenly it was completely ordinary to see houses fall derelict, their owners mysteriously vanished somewhere beyond our reach.

The truth is I'm not a painter.
The truth is I followed you here from that flower shop on Whitmore Street, two and a half months ago. Please, keep reading.
You actually took my breath away when I glimpsed you holding a bunch of lilies in your slender hands at the flower shop counter. You stunned me. That's never happened to me before. I was watching you turning the bouquet left to right, you seemed in awe of the flowers' beauty. Your eyes, your perfect smile, the way you held yourself. It was not a conscious decision to follow you here. I think I was in a trance. I know how it looks; I know it sounds like a movie.
When Miss Vale said it was only the beginning of the painting course, lesson two, I signed up, paid my money on the spot, just to follow you into the room.
Just to keep seeing you. Just to be near you. I know it's crazy.
I stared at the back of your bobbed hair for that entire lesson. In my mind I was shouting for you to turn around

Smart Thing To Do
It all started on a sunny day where the Once-ler came to a beautiful forest full of Truffula trees, bar-ba-loots eating truffula fruits, clean water full of humming fish humming, and above a clean sky of swomee-swans singing in note. The Once-ler was amazed by the bright-colored tufts of the Truffula trees, a touch softer than silk and smelling of sweet butterfly milk. Once the Once-ler unpacked his stuff and built his home, he used a ladder to reach to the top of taller Truffula trees, grabbing tufts so he could knit a thneed of Truffula tufts. He got enough Truffula tufts for a lot of knitting to be done. After the Once-ler grabbed all the tufts from the trees, he knitted day and night until the tufts grew back on the trees. After people from around the world came to buy a thneed, the Once-ler closed down his shop. Since everybody got a thneed and the Tuffula trees stayed standing, maybe future generations will get thneeds

But that question
will remain unanswered
People are complicated

Do you still remember the first time we met? It was in Kindergarten. I was going down a slide and then the string on the hood of my jacket got caught on the banister and I was choking. I wanted to scream for help but I could only stare forward with my bulging eyes and hanging tongue, until the teacher saw me struggling and untied the string so that I could breathe. "Don't be afraid now," she told me. "You're safe."
I didn't see you again, Death, until many years later. Middle School--when people were busy trying to find their partners on the dance floor during P.E., you and I were already locked in a nightmarish salsa no one else could see. I held the cup of water in one hand while you held the uncapped bottle of pills in the other. And the moment I reached out to you to take them, that's when people saw us dancing and pulled me away. "What the hell were you thinking?" they asked me. "Come back and stay with us."
But even though we weren't moving in macabre unison, the musi
How to make Muffin-Tin PiesHow to make Muffin-Tin Pies3 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
This is a really fun recipe I use for the Holidays and parties! ^-^
The steps listed below will make approximately one/one-and-a-half batches of twelve mini mixed-berry pies. Just use a regular muffin tin, and you can use paper muffin cups if you like, but if you don't I recommend spraying the ENTIRE muffin tin (not just the cups) before putting in the dough to help them come out easier.
The Oven will need to be pre-heated to 350 degrees before the pies can go in the oven.
2 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons of salt
1/2 cup shortening (I generally use Crisco)
3/4 cup butter (chilled)
6 Tablespoons of ice water
Making the dough:
1.) Cut up butter into medium-sized cubes and return it to the refrigerator for later use.
2.) Cut up the shortening and drop in chunks into a bowl of ice water.
3.) In a separate bowl (large), combine flour, sugar and salt and then mix well.
3.) After they are chilled, remove the shortening from ice water, the but

"Seize the moment, cause' tomorrow, you might be dead" -Buffy Summers
This quote was from the pilot episode of buffy the vampire slayer, one of my favorite shows. I decided to write a poem based off of it. ^_^
Seize the moment
Do what you want
Take this opportunity
To achieve your dreams
Do anything you'd like
Don't back down
Seize the moment
Take the moment
Seize the moment.
you might be dead!
