He was always trying his luck by being himself, but he just couldn't seem to get the women to notice him, even the girl he really wanted to get noticed by, _____. She was like an angel in his eyes, always polite and respectful towards him, unlike most people. And she always had a gorgeous smile on her soft lips, a smile that could warm any heart; his heart had already experienced the sensation.
A deep sigh passed his lips as he pressed his palms to his forehead in thought and anger, elbows resting against his office desk. "Why can't I have that attractiveness like frog face?" he groaned, slumping in his chair as he moped. "He always gets the ladies, no matter where he goes or w
Heat Waves *EnglandxReader*"Arthur," you mumbled through your pillow. "I hate this vacation. I hate it so much."Heat Waves *EnglandxReader*3 years ago in Romance More Like This
You were in your room, in your cool, air conditioned house. You were on your bed, wearing a pair of (f/c) shorts and your favorite tank top. You were currently curled up on your bed, hugging your pillow against your face. Your best friend, Arthur Kirkland, gentleman, Briton, bad cook, was in your room with you, sitting on the desk chair next to your desk and trying to comfort you.
Because not only had this been a boring vacation so far, with you being in your house almost twenty-four-seven, and all your friends (even Arthur for a bit) going to various places (half of them went out of the country, for the love of cornflakes!), but you had made a mistake. A fatal mistake. You had watched a romantic movie marathon.
You had a difficult time doing almost anything with guys, but you were a romantic at heart. You wanted to be swept off your feet one day by a handsome man.
And for quite some time now, this ha

Wind whipped (Name)'s sun-kissed face, tousling her tangled (h/c) locks. Her flag, torn and faded, rippled in the gentle wind, and the boat rocked from side to side as the old wood creaked in protest.
She closed her eyes, leaning against the deck railing and breathing in the ocean breeze. It was a calm day, and (Name) could hear seagulls flying in the sky above her.
Suddenly, a strong gust of wind pulled her out of her moment of peace, and she grabbed onto her hat in fear it would fly away. One of her crew members approached her quickly, pointing to the horizon.
"C-cap'n, a ship be approaching!" (Name)'s eyes narrowed, and pulling out her spyglass, she saw that there was indeed another ship traveling straight toward them. After close inspection, she gasped; it was him! The notorious pirate, Arthur Kirkland!
Her expression turned into one of excitement. 'Challenge accepted,' she thought, smugly. (Name) placed a hand on her cutlass, pulled down her hat, then turned to alert the crew.
[ Neko!England ] Backfired [ Reader ]You had been attempting to enjoy a quiet night, curled up on the couch with a book you’d just recently bought and a nice cup of tea. Just as you took a seat on the couch in the living room and opened your book, a light rain began to patter on the window, making everything seem calm. Then, you felt your cellphone vibrate in your pocket. Pulling it out, you groaned once you read the number. It was Alfred F. Jones, better known as America. You really didn’t want to deal with his idiocy…and why on earth would he be texting you close to bloody midnight?! Oh, there you went again. You sighed and shook your head. You’d been spending a bit too much time around England lately. The apocalypse must be coming. That was the only explanation you could think of for this...this travesty. On the one hand it was rather nice for you and made you feel loved and needed, but on the other hand it was an occurrence that was abnormal anywhere besides your dreams.
At the world meeting for all to see, England, the infamously tsundere ball of mood swings, was holding your hand on the table. It doesn't really seem like much, but it is England we're talking about. The show of affection was in plain sight! But that wasn't all - he was
sitting againstsnuggling into your right side. No space was left between you two, and the chairs would have to merge for you to be any closer.
The weirdest thing, though, was that all he could do was softly smile. He wasn't ashamed nor was he embarrassed by it. Normally he would become red enough to trick Spain's Romano radar.
England x Reader: Tennis"There you go, love, that's it!" Arthur called encouragingly as you served over to him. He returned the bright yellow ball with ease, and you scrambled to reach the far corner of the court where it landed. You set down your racket to mop sweat off of your forehead. When your school tennis coach had said a little bit of one-on-one training time might be in order, you had no idea she meant a private lesson with this cute, older, undeniably BRITISH boy you barely knew!
Of course, the fact that you barely knew him certainly didn't stop you from crushing on him. After all, who wouldn't? He was smart, charming, polite, and all-around adorable; even his bushier-than-average eyebrows. His dazzling green eyes and cutely mussed blond hair, combined with his dreamy accent, made you want to melt!
So of course you didn't want to make a hot, sweaty fool out of yo

No meetings, no childish fights with your Allies, no earth shattering migranes. Just silence, the morning newspaper, and a bowl of lucky charms.
Smiling, you took a sip of coffee. Oh yes, Sundays truely were the best day of the week. Nothing but golden silence echoed through the kitchen, and that was just how you liked it. That silence was soon broken, however, when your front door was violently thrown open and England stumbled into the kitchen.
You set down the newspaper and examined the Brit; judging by his flushed face and the way he kept swaying back and forth, you came to the conclusion that he was drunk on his ass. Why anyone would want to drink this early in the morning, you didn't really know; I mean, beer didn't exactly pair well with cereal.
Not that you really cared, of course.
"England, go home, you're drunk." You stated cooly, turning back to your cereal.
He ignored you and stumbled over to your chair, resting a

At that, you and Alfie looked at each other and then burst out laughing.
"What? You gits, why are you bloody laughing for, I'm not going to kiss anyone--" he started off, indignantly.
"Haahhh- hayou are an idiot, Arthur!" Alfie laughed, almost out of breath.
"You aren't going to actually kiss anyone," You laughed, wiping tears out from the corner of your eyes. Oh! This was just priceless, that look on his face!
"ohohhh.." was all he said as he gave you two a sour look as both of you were trying to stop laughing.
He then crossed his arms and then started tapping his foot impatiently. "Well, then what do you want me to do, then, you two pa

"Could you watch Alfred for me while I'm gone?" Your face lit up at the thought- Alfred was like a son to you, and you loved him like family. But what did it mean?
These were the thoughts that filled your mind as you continued on your stroll around the park near your house. Earlier, Francis had come up to you and told you to ask Arthur to snog you...
When you had asked what the word 'snog' meant, he merely did that funny 'Ohonhonhon~' laugh of his, his perverted smirk growing a bit wider. He then said, 'Arthur will show you soon, ma cherie!' before walking away, leaving you confused.
You had considered looking it up, but being the lazy person you were you decided not to. Snog couldn't be a bad thing, could it?
...Well, maybe it could, considering how Francis had told you to ask Arthur to snog you. And, well... Francis is a big fat pervert. Snog could very well mean sex if it came from Francis. And you didn't plan to lose your virginity just yet.
Well actually, losing your virginity to Arthur wouldn't
