With Guild Wars 2 coming up next month, I decided to knuckle down and finally get that Norn armor I'd always wanted. Got everything except the hat (since you don't actually have to have it to dedicate the set in your Hall of Monuments), and I'm wearing one of the fluffy hoods from Christmas because my existing helmet doesn't really go with the set. Anyway.
I know we won't get to transfer any actual items between the games, but I imagined my GW2 character finding my old Guild Wars character's stuff in some old, forgotten chest.
I don't know what my new character will look like exactly, but here's an idea.
I just couldn't keep myself from putting this to canvas after the second Beta Weekend for Guild Wars 2 came to an incredible finish. Dang, Arenanet...you really know how to end with a bang! I don't think I've ever had as much fun in all my years of online gaming as I did in that single span of 30 minutes.
Don't believe me? Check it out: [link] . I didn't record my own experience, but I sincerely wish I had.
Players on each server (Yak's Bend, ftw) gathered in the Plains of Ashford and faced off against the minions of the Crystal Dragon Kralkatorrik. But the odds quickly turned against us as each player killed became a corrupted dragon minion!
Illustrated here is our final stand as the dragon minions finally overwhelmed my sister and I (who were sitting across from each other at our computers, trying not to scream aloud and wake our parents at 3:00 in the morning). My sister was playing an Elementalist (left) and I was a Guardian (right). Both characters were designed after our existing characters, Storm and Ronak.
I took a lot of creative liberties with the crystal minions and armor, so I doubt it's very accurate. Regardless, I hope it accurately sums up the desperation and craziness (and fun!) that was the finale.
