The Muffin Queen
Like yeast in dough, I rose up high.
But soon, I ceased to fly.
Soon I was caked in my own demise.
Baked into this pastry disguise.
But thou hath set me free.
With a bite, munch, crunch. 1, 2, 3.
I hath been set free, but thou hath consumed me.
Not 1 but 2.
Mine own eyes seeing only what be in front of thee.
My simple plea?
To escape from this catacomb that surrounds me.
Oh, Silly mare.
With your eyes drooping and your heart beating.
Your bags filled with letters and your mind in gutters.
Wings of grey.
A mane like sunshine.
Tis' be very colors of that which be mine.
Derpy: Hey now missy your making my head hurt.
Muffin Queen (MQ): What be this strangest voice canst thou heareth me?
Derpy: Well yea, been hearing about every single thing you've just monologue'd.
MQ: Oh it be you grey mare
What purpose dost thou have for being here?
Derpy: What are you doing here?
Last time I checked this was my muffin I mean my mind!
MQ: Your min

“That was some coronation!” Rainbow Dash announced in excitement, flying into the library the moment the door opened. “Though it’s no fair you can already fly…” muttered the pegasus somewhat bitterly, then cracked a smirk. “I was lookin’ forwards to teaching yah myself.”
Twilight followed, flanked by her friends, a sleeping Spike on her back. She blushed slightly with an embarrassed look. “Well…I actually have no idea how I flew at the coronation. I think it might have just been like the flight instincts in baby pegasi. You might still get your chance…”
Rainbow gave another smirk. “Well, it doesn’t matter; I’ve still got a new flying buddy!”
“Yeah, looking forwards to it,” the lavender mare replied, but her smile seemed a little more forced than it should have be
Star Dust - Chapter 9Star Dust - Chapter 91 year ago in Romance More Like This
“AA-HA!” Star exclaimed as her pillow swang towards Twilight who barely dodged the incoming pillow that came from her left. "I think she takes this a bit way too seriously..." Twilight thought as a small amount of feathers escaped from Star’s pillow as it hit the wall. "But this certainly bring back some memories of my first slumber party."
It was rather strange that Star was using the pillows like, well, like a sword; like the unicorns of old did. And the battle stance she took was also a reflection of those ancient warriors.
"Only, maybe that “fight” wasn't this serious…" Twilight this time dodged two pillows that came from both sides. She then tried to “counter-attack”, but Star was able to block it while sending another pillow at Twilight.
"She's good at this," Twilight thought worriedly. "A bit too good." Suddenly another pillow flew only a few inches from her face
Diamond Tiara Makes a New FriendLast week had been one of the greatest weeks in Diamond Tiara's life. She was wary at first. It was fun having Babs turn on the Cutie Mark Crusaders for a bit, but she never had any intention of actually hanging out with the new blank flank. But after some convincing from Silver Spoon, she decided to give her a chance, and the three fillies spent the entire week together. When they weren't tormenting Apple Bloom and her friends, they were taking Babs all around Ponyville, showing her the sights, and just generally having a good time together.Diamond Tiara Makes a New Friend2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Bowling, tennis, running, frisbee, video games, comic books, braiding each other's manes, and even just chilling at Sugar Cube Corner. The three had so much fun getting to know each other, and Diamond had to admit that, for somepony related to Apple Bloom, Babs was one of the coolest ponies she'd ever met. She had even offered to help Babs find her Cutie Mark, but the other filly declined. Diamond didn't understand why, but she did now.

Spike the "Hero"
The Crystal Empire was slowly becoming engulfed in a mass of threatening, black clouds; dark as the deadliest of storms. Screams could be heard all around as the crystal ponies began to panic. Up in the tallest tower in the city, Twilight found herself trapped within the confines of a black-crystal prison, the gems risen up from the ground, blocking any means of escape for the lavender unicorn. Just outside, Spike started to feel nervous. His eyes darted from side to side, his feet moved up and down like two, small pistons.
Twilight started to scramble within the crystal-walled trap, looking for the Crystal Heart with a set of panicked eyes.
"The heart? Where's the Crystal..." she started, voice q

The distress in her voice was clear as Rainbow, still on the ground, looked up and her former squad-mater, Lightning Dust. The green pegasus was flapping her wings, keeping above her rival, holding the element of loyalty which she had taken from Rainbow in the confusion of the tornado. She did not see what had happened to the other element-bearers, but it didn't matter. Because as long as just one of them was kept out of the fight, they couldn't use their elements.
"I'm doing what I have to."
Rainbow looked incredibly confused, and Lightning could not blame her. The last the two had even seen each other, it was back at the Wonderbolt Academy, when Lightning was kicked out. And even though Lightning had been keeping up-to-date with Rainbow's activities, the latter probably hadn't even given her a second thought, as evidenced by her continuing look of confusion.
"What do you mean what you have to? I need that element!"
Lightning looked to th

Warning, the following contains spoilers for the Royal Wedding episodes.
As the Changelings began preparing for a feast upon the population of Canterlot, all chaos broke loose. Ponies fleeing every direction, looking for a way to escape the insect like creatures that were chattering excitedly just behind them, forcing them to rush past their physical limits to find safety. The exits of the city were left unguarded. With the shield shattered, any pony could leave in addition to the assailants getting in.
One pony in particular was already at the Western exit by the time the shields had been broken down. Several others joined her; after witnessing the Queen of the Changelings, Chrysalis, viciously take down their dear Princess, many of the attendees of the wedding quickly began to flee. Once the pulsing violet protection spell shattered, the frantic Equestrians waiting at the gates bolted from one of Canterlot's exits. Other groups of ponies rushed out in a hysterical group from t

Another glorious morning in Ponyville; The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and all was as it should be: peaceful and certainly fine.
Everypony was up and about, ready to start a new day. But one particular pony was able to rise quicker than most in order to do some extra work around her house. There was much to do: dusting, reorganizing, and studying. This little unicorn, along with her dragon assistant, had planned the whole day to accomplish this before sunset.
“Where do you want these, Twilight?” Spike asked his best friend, whiling trying to carry a stack of seven books.
“Put those over by the shelves…in the “History of the Ancient Magical Arts” section,” Twilight answered while she was reorganizing her study, with the help of her magic.
“Okay…whoa!…” Spike replied as the booked wobbled as he made his way over to the shelf.
“Be careful Spike. Don’t want you getting hurt.”

Lightning Dust was clearly in a fairly bad mood today. But then, she had every right to be, given her surroundings. For this was not the green and lush field of Equestria. No, this was a place few ponies ever came, or even knew that much about. A vast dry expanse of barren rocks, mud and sand, stretching as far as the eye could see. It was hot. It was unpleasant. It was the last place anypony would ever want to find themselves if they had the choice.
This was the kind of place mares would want their children about. The stereotypical place "bad little ponies" would go. In truth nopony would ever be so cruel as to send one of their own out here. For this was not a place for the feint of heart. Those who came out here only ever knew hardship. And those were the lucky ones, for this place was known to be the home of terrible beasts and other horrors that rivalled even the monsters of the Everfree Forest.

"I'll skewer you!" Queen Chrysalis called out, leading a power dive with her warped horn. DEATH is the penalty for desecration and treason!
"If anyone is to be the God of Destruction, I am the chosen one!" the evil unicorn growled, returning to his prison by orbiting shades of himself around the Crystal Heart. He being Marebu Foalma's lieutenant, King Sombra!
After that, he struck everypony down to the ground with his dark magic.
"Ooh... how does that work out, King Sombra guarding the Crystal Heart?" Twilight asked.
"He said it himself. He is the last hurrah ponykind has against Marebu and Embryo," the loving Crystal Queen responded. He IS the Shroud of Sombra.
"Twiley! Welcome back, sis!" the Crystal King greeted. Ohh, not again. Why do

The ponies stared, aghast at what they were seeing, but no one was more surprised than Sonic was. He’d only taken that form once, empowered by an alternate world’s source of the very emotions the hedgehog had mentioned, and now he was seeing it separate from his body. “Dark… spine?!” he gasped.
Discord popped up at the edge of the street, positioned right behind Sonic with his eagle talon gripping the street and his lion paw on his chin as he too stared at this new sight. “Hmm… not quite what I expected to happen, but that certainly makes it chaotic in its own way,” he mused. He then grinned down at Sonic as he and the ponies turned their heads to look up at him, “It’ll make for an amusing spectacle to see you beat yourself up over who’s the better hedgehog!”
Darkspine Sonic, meanwhile, looked in the direction of Super Sonic and, after a moment, pointed in his direction and said in a loud, angry (though still gho
A fading shadowAs she stood there, staring up at that old wooden door, Rainbow hesitated. For those who knew her, hesitation was something that was very much against how she usually was. But on this day, she made an exception. This particular tower of the Canterlot royal palace was not as attractive on the inside as the rest of the building, owing largely to it's purpose of holding criminals. The walls were darker, colder than the other rooms, and the whole place was just largely unpleasant. She focused on this because it didn't seem right for her to be here.A fading shadow2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
But Rainbow knew that she would have to address this. If she didn't, she'd regret it for the rest of her life. Raising a hoof, she pushed the old door open, and it creaked loudly, no doubt alerting the room's lone occupant of her arrival. The room within was small, with only a small window letting in any light. There was a small bed, upon which stood a young mint-green mare with a short yellow mane. Lightning Dust. Rainbow found it very difficul

1:24 PM. Monday, so the kids are at school. Sky? Clear (means someone's doing their job). Indistinct noise level for the town--average. It could mean something or it could mean nothing. What she means to do, though, is walk on forward into that fabled little town what was home to the modern-day heroines of her world.
Coated in fur the same shade of blue as a mediocre painting of the sky, topped--and trailed--with sleek, silvery hair ending in a short, sharp curl at each extremity with a stray strand here and there for a balanced look. Eyes--two of them, she's no freak--reminiscent of diluted grape juice with no lack of lashes. Magic powers lay stored in a slightly ribbed cone that was more than a skull extension above her forehead. Two ears, not the perkiest, and not the droopiest; closer to the perkiest. Walking on all fours, the four protected f

And so it came to pass that the Earth was to be made. When the Two Alicorns and their children began to create Olympia and Earth, the earth was without form and void. And Uronus said to Luna, “Let there be darkness to complement the light.” And there was darkness and it was good. And Uronus divided the light from the darkness. And Uronus called the light Day and the darkness he called Night. And it was morning and it was evening, The First Day.
