Halloween SpecialHunter Make-up TutorialHalloween Special3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Since Halloween is rapidly approaching, I think it's about time to reveal the secrets of my Hunter-make-up to you, my fellow zombies.
So, first things first:
What do you need/what did I use?
Kryolan Supracolor Greasepaint palette(TypeA) + a pale yellowish-grayish corpsish skintone (Guess it's been ivory or GIIIA)
Mastix Spirit Gum
loose transparent powder (got some from Grimas ages ago, so that certain product is not sold anymore and I can't link it )

We're headed to Comic-Con International:
San Diego to sponsor Artists' Alley!
We Love Artists' Alley
We're back at Comic-Con!
Last year, our sponsorship of Artists' Alley was a huge success. We were able to provide a more comfortable environment for the artists, display their art on huge screens over the Alley, and let people attending the convention draw with deviantART muro on fantastic digital screens. We plan to do this and more in 2012 as we take on the great pleasure of sponsoring Artists' Alley at San Diego Comic-C

Yaya's Cosplay Tips - Part 1I had to have emergency surgery this weekend to remove my appendix, so not only did I miss HeroesCon but I'm also on forced bed rest for the next little while. Speedpaint Tips: Getting Started! In the interest of helping people who are new to speedpainting get started, and also in the interest of getting tips and tricks out in the open that might be helpful to even those who have done it a while, I'm opening this Journal entry up to the group to post your speedpainting techniques to share with the group!Speedpaint Tips: Getting Started!3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Guidelines for posting (I believe this will help keep the thread readable to those coming in):
1) Give your technique a title
2) Provide a description with as much detail as is necessary to allow someone to try the technique and obtain some success with it
3) If possible, provide a link to examples that use this technique, and indicate how the technique was used
4) Please only include one tip per post
5) You may ABSOLUTELY respond to other people's posts, ask questions, and extend the tips! As this isn't a forum, please make sure you respond to the right posts when asking a question, or the original author might not see it! Questions should ONLY go under existing tips though.

Rapunzel's Wig FAQ and an InterviewHey everyone!Rapunzel's Wig FAQ and an Interview2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It's been a while since I last checked in. In fact, it's been so long that I just realised I never posted the cosplay interview I did here (and that was in January!). Japan Cinema invited me to chat to them for a while for their cosplay corner - if you're interested, you can read about it over here.
In other news, I have finally gotten around to doing a photoshoot for Rapunzel! Thank you so much to :iconstrawdoll: for being such an amazing photographer...you're so nice to me :'D And so, since I'm about to attack you all with photos, I figured it would be a great time to finally, finally post the FAQ I've been promising for her wig. Here we go!
RAPUNZEL'S WIG - THE FAQ
Oh my god, is that your real hair?
Er, no. Really, really no.
It must be really heavy then! How much does it weigh?

Hello and welcome to my second tutorial. I made this one especially for Thomas today.

But first: What is Worbla's?
Worbla's Finest Art is a thermoplastic that's ultra cosplayer-friendly. It cuts easily with a knife or a pair of scissors.

For the halfmask:
I was heavily inspired by Volpin's Portal Gun tutorial, even though I wasn't making the gun. I tried to follow his process, since I knew that the finished mask had to have the same plastic-y glossy finish. However, Volpin is a crafting genius and used a lot of vague, but still very technical, mumbo-jumbo in his descriptions so I interpreted it as best I could.
Also, the foam carving and the gesso sanding is very messy and will leave dust everywhere. Don't do it indoors! I was stupid and pretty much did this entire project in my bedroom. Everything is still kinda dusty and I probably have cancer or something from breathing it in.
Step one was gathering the materials:
Medium and Fine Grit Sandpaper
Black Acrylic Paint

It will no longer be 50 points, it will be 100 to win!
I understand a lot of you are saying that this is too much to do for so small, well, all I have ATM is 100. So, I will give out the 100, to make it more fair, and not get such a small amount. Thanks everyone!!!
Oh and, sorry if I come off a little rude, but
Stop ranting, bros. It's annoying. It REALLY is.
it's 100 now, and PLEASE don't go on saying how that isn't enough either, that is literally ALL I have, and I made those points myself, by adoptables on another account of mine, and I'm taking my effort in getting those points, and giving them out. PLEASE be appreciative. It would mean a lot. (:
The account has to be ACTIVE.
NO POINT ACCOUNTS ( Accounts that give points away )
DO NOT USE MORE THAN 1 ACCOUNT. If I get one of the UNACTIVE, new accounts you made, I will go on and pick another.

2013 Racing Miku physics videoI know you wana see the shiny vid first so come back up when you're done! xP Ok so I rebuilt half the hair rig. Added more bones to it and tuned it some. What was happening was about midway down it seemed her hair was a little too ridged and not bendy enough. So I added more bones to let that happen. This is basically Misaki hair on crack. More bones and technically challenging physics all to keep her hair separated when it flys around but keep it some what grouped up. Before I re-built the original rig her hair was also flying around super wildly. May have looked cool for some serious head banging rock video but probably not what most of you have in mind.2013 Racing Miku physics video1 year ago in Personal More Like This
2nd Major thing was she had to have a arm operation/surgery. I noticed her elbows were too low on her arm and the only correct way to fix it was go all the way back to maya and fix it at the source. Then bring her arms back in to max then export from max in pmx then re-rig them. It ate up a few hours trust me but now I'm happy
