Poison Ivy was always my favorite girl and I knew I just HAD to make the costume someday. She has always been a dream-costume of mine as a kid, and Dragon*Con 2012 was the perfect excuse to finally make her. I woke up early everyday to watch Batman: TAS on tv and especially enjoyed episodes featuring her.
If you'd like to know more about how I made this costume, please read the costume description here. [link]
Sorry that this isn't the greatest of photos, since it was taken on my crappy camera, but actual photos from actual photographers will be hittin' ya soon! I can't wait!
In the spirit of Easter weekend, decided to premier three BRAND NEW Jessica Rabbit cosplays ;3 First was Park Ranger from Trail Mix-Up, second was Super Hero Jessica Rabbit (original design), and third was Rollercoaster Rabbit from a statue figure of Jessica! More pics of all of those to come soon!!
I started this project last year as a way to get rid of some fabric last minute (while making good use of it of course) since I had stockpiled a bunch of material from older cosplays. I had more than a full yard of this sparkly red that I used on Elastigirl and the Space Faerie, and brainstormed on what I could use it for. At first I was thinking a swimsuit for Jessica Rabbit, but not wanting to deal with a topless piece while having to wear a ridiculous bra, decided to go the superhero suit route instead! And naturally, my thought process was "if Jessica were a super hero, what would she wear? Powergirl. Powergirl's outfit." And thus, this idea was born. XD
Cosplay designed and made by me, using all materials I had already on hand. Well, until I lost my first gloves and belt. Then I had to buy more to remake those. BUT, aside from that, nothing new would've been spent on the outfit, since I had wig, shoes, fabrics, notions, and undergarments all already! This is the fourth cosplay that I've "stash-made", using all materials and items I had on hand. The other three were Esmeralda (red dress), Supergirl, and Stocking (volleyball uniform).
