Chapter Fourteen- Conquest of The Leader
Part Five- Savage Monster, Noble Heart
The Leader's Helicarrier
It is common knowledge to know that whenever two females would fight, it was sure to be very violent and graphic, especially if they already have a huge animosity towards one another. Well, this could never be more true than the brutal fight that was being waged between Shego and Red She-Hulk, the confrontation between the two female Hulks making the surrounding adamantium/titanium walls tremble from the sheer ferocity of their blows. One could almost sense the hatred that these two women shared for one another, as if the glares that they gave each other were not enough evidence of this very fact, and not to mention the sheer impact of their blows.
The two female titans lashed out at one another with a fury that could only come from pure rage and animosity, blocking and countering one anothers moves as they traveled the length of the steel flooring w

"Listener?" I could hear Cicero moving around in my room looking for me.
"I'm in here," I replied. I knew my voice would be muffled to Cicero, but I didn't feel like moving yet.
The doors to the wardrobe opened up and the resulting light blinded me. I shaded my eyes as I stared at the silhouette of the Keeper. "Why is the Listener sitting in a closet?" Cicero's tone was genuinely confused which made me laugh. It was hard to get one over the Fool of Hearts.
"I'm thinking," I said.
"In a closet?" Cicero repeated. He raised an eyebrow showing his skepticism.
"In or out," I said scooting forward enough for Cicero to sit behind me if he chose. "The light is bothering me." The Keeper shrugged and climbed in behind me. He had to push some of my dresses out of the way. After Cicero sat down, he had to wrap his legs around my waist since there was no space for them otherwise. I reached out and closed the doors to the wardrobe. The dresses and shirts closed

No. None of them compared.
The taste was not bitter or aged. It was not sweetened, or burned. Nor was it warm and familiar, loose from his own or some unimportant rabble.
It was... in between. Something sweet, but with a bitter aftertaste. Foreign, yet vaguely familiar.
Slowly but surely his tongue snaked past the small of the line his frail jaw had allowed him to open, scraping against the dagger-tipped corruption of his fangs.
There it was again. The sweet, but faded to bitter taste. He'd tasted it before, enjoyed it flavor before even, but...
A sudden spasm. A collapse of his mind as nerves wracked against one another, forced to squirm as a
Cicero's ListenerThe Dread Father would laugh and dance with him before loyal Cicero would let that sly, honey-worded thief take his Listener away from him.Cicero's Listener3 years ago in Romance More Like This
He had honestly liked him at first meeting. Sweet Listener had taken him to Riften, the home of cutthroats and thieves. She had mentioned that the reason behind their visit was a mix of business in pleasure. Listener was the Guildmaster to the thieves, so Cicero understood that she had to talk to Byrnjolf. He ran things while she was gone. Humble, loyal Cicero knew that he was Dark Brotherhood, and not Thieves Guild, so he agreed to leave the two alone to talk Thieves Guild business. Cicero was even agreeable to the fact that Byrnjolf and Listener were friends and had to catch up when it came to their personal lives.
But they weren't lovers.
So Cicero didn't know why it was so necessary for Byrnjolf to silently demand that he be closer to her. At dinner, he sat next to her in Listener's little Honeyside home. Cicero sat across them from, giving sil

Author's Note (Updated!): As this fic is appearing in new #Groups and people may be coming to it for the first time, I wanted to cover a few things. First, "If It Meant Living" IS complete: 72 Chapters, covering the entirety of the ME trilogy and stretching a little beyond the end of ME3. The chapters get longer, the story gets more deep and complex...my writing gets better . It's a long way to read, but I can promise you it will be worth it - every step of the way, and at the end. The "stock" Author's Note on later chapters will say that the story is canonical with respect to major events, and it is...mostly. Until it
The Girl with the Voice - Mirabelle ErvineThe Hall of the Elements was typically a place of learning at the College of Winterhold. A peaceful place for lectures by Tolfdir and quiet instruction on the nuances of the restoration magics by Colette. Yet now, it was all but defiled. Some would say that Tolfdir's expedition to Saarthal was successful; bringing with it the discovery of an incredible artifact full of energy and light. Though, whose bright idea it was to transport the large floating orb the Eye of Magnus to the middle of the Hall of Elements, Mirabelle didn't know. She certainly would give them a piece of her mind once she discovered who they were. The Girl with the Voice - Mirabelle Ervine3 years ago in Drama More Like This
Aside from the fact that Tolfdir had done nothing but stare at it for days since it was brought there rendering him more useless than usual it gave her a bad feeling. There was something about it that needed taking care of. Exactly the reason why the Arch-Mage Savos Aren sent one of the College's newest apprentices off to seek out the Staf

It was two weeks until Christmas and it was only until very recently that you had finally found the time to decorate. You had luckily bought all of the presents - which was easier said than done - and was able to make a list of all the food that you had to prepare on the day. And with your wonderful boyfriend disappearing, nothing was getting done.
You kept your eyes fixed on an open box of tinsel that was in a bashed box. The well-known creaking sound created by a thin door alerted your senses. You knew who was entering the room and exactly what their mind was planning on doing.
"Don't even think about disappearing." You announced, watching the tinsel as it wrapped itself around one and other and refused to let go.
"How the hell did you know it was me?!"
"I can tell."
You turned around to face him, a smile cle

It was finally your turn to play and instead of being excited, you found yourself wanting to run. You hadn't the slightest clue why you'd ever agreed to play this game at all. Unfortunately, it was far too late to back up now. Edward had already called you up front, and you already hat your item. You stood silently, looking over the small teacup for some sign of who it might belong to. There was nothing. With no other option, you opened your mouth, speaking with a quiet, shaky voice. “W-whose teacup is this?”
The second your question was uttered, Virion stood. “Unless someone else has also used a teacup as their item, it belongs to me my fair lady. He waltzed up to you, took your hand, and immediately kissed it. “Ah, how very lucky I am. Having you as my partner, is surely a gift.” He took the item from your hand, placed it back in the pile and began walking with you towards the tent. Once there, Virion happily helped you

You stood next to the barrel, awaiting Edwards return. He had chosen you only a few moments earlier to be the next player, but you were already growing bored with waiting. “Do have to wait for him to hit back to pick an item, or should I just go ahead? I think it would make more sense if I was ready when he got here.”
With no one else answering you, Boyd spoke up. “I'd go for it. It's not like there are really any rules, and It'll make things go faster.”
“I agree.” Having at least one other person agree with you was enough. You placed your hand in the large barrel and quickly pulled out a small, thin tipped paint brush. “I didn't know we had a painter among us.”
“I would hardly call myself a painter, but painting is a pastime of mine. It's very relaxing.” With a gentle smile on his face, Libra stood up and walked towards you. He stopped and waited for Edward while still a good distance from you, which you immediately de

Judge Claude Frollo hated the Festival of Fools.
Perhaps "hated" was too soft of a term. He "hated" the gypsies, that was certain; but the festival was far beyond that. It was all that made his frame recoil in disgust clustered into one atrocious holiday.
The wide, cackling grins of the gypsies that the judge so despised now plagued even the most respectable of citizens. Those abominable smiles, platforms of jagged teeth riddled with slivers of golden caps (no doubt fashioned from stolen coins), now riddled the entire city in a similar manner. The bright colors of the gypsy garbs were enough of an eyesore when assigned to but a few misfit street performers, but now this sickening rainbow of the heathens was slathered onto every wall and pillar of the plaza.
Frollo's expression crumpled into a scowl as he sat back in his seat. He was all too aware of the debauchery that awaited just outside the carriage doors.
The sixth of January was by far the most

"Oh, Birdie! Cicero has returned with pretty flowers. Most of them are for Mother, but Cicero made sure to get Birdie some, too!" Cicero danced around the Sanctuary and entered his room. He hummed and danced, skipping around the room before finally setting his eyes on your limp body. "Birdie, what are you doing? It's time to be awake right now, not sleeping! You have to keep poor Cicero company. Birdie... Cicero doesn't like this... Birdie, come on!" Cicero began pushing on your shoulders trying to stir you awake, but all the shaking caused a small puddle of blood to pour down your chin.
After a few moments, you began to hear Cicero's mumbles, and felt him shoving on your shoulders. The last thing you remembered was the almost intimate moment you had with the jester before the Listener opened the door, scaring both of you. After another few shoves, you furrowed your brow and asked

With slow leaden steps up the grande staircase, continuing further on down corridors, a solemn tall figure glides along. The day seemed to have dragged on mercilessly. Unending court case upon court case. Nothing would please the minister more than to emerge into his private chambers he shared with his wife, sequester himself away from the cruel world and just spend some quality time with her. The thought of his beloved Esmeralda brought a faint grin upon his features, hastening his stride. How he loved her so! In time she too had returned that love. It was a very slow process, but the end result was nothing short of absolute bliss

Cicero tensed up hearing a clank, he had assumed you had taken out your weapon of choice to finish him off as you had been told to do by Astrid.
Cicero grasped the knife in his hand, his back to you. 'Listener...Cicero will kill you if he must. Don't make Cicero have to kill you...who knows how angry mother might be but if he really, truely must...' His mind jumbled. Cicero felt a tiny pang of fear in two different ways now.
On one hand mother might be very, very angry with him upon murdering the listener. On another hand remains the fact of how fast you had gotten to him, taken down the defenses and slaughtered the barbarous troll out front. You were a savage! An admireable savage!

“Long time no see, dear brother.” Zeus greeted him. “What brings you here?”
“It’s been quite long, yes.” Hades agreed. “Listen, I’ve wanted to talk to you about something.”
“I am all ears then.” Zeus replied, his curiosity peaked. Whatever the matter, it must be quite important, if Hades was willing to leave his palace.
“I want to marry Persephone.” Hades responded straightforwardly.
He had forgotten his brother was not a man of many words.
“Persephone?” Zeus asked incredulously.
Hades nodded. “I’ve run into her a couple of weeks ago, and I have been unable to stop thinking about her ever since!”
Zeus couldn’t help but smile at his words.
“I don’t see how this is a laughing matter.” Hades responded indignantly.

The Dread Lord will be pleased, I'm sure, with a jester fit for a king. Maybe I could have spared him, sent him away. Far away where no one could find him.
He was an interesting fellow, and very funny, perhaps too funny. I feel regret, an emotion I haven't given the time of day in over ten years.
With a quill between his fingers and his nerves in an uproar, Cicero shakily wrote in his leather-bound journal. His free hand clutched a violet handkerchief that he idly rubbed between his fingers.
But did I save his soul? No prayer for this one, no, no. The Listener is gone. What does it mean when our Matron does not sanctify the contract? Does the soul still make it to Sithis?
The young man sighed and then remembered the cloth was stained in blood. He let it go and occupied his palm with his chin, s

Prologue [Loki x Reader]“Is there a reason we’re here?” you asked of the pigtailed blond beside you on the rock. You kicked a pebble into the water. “Not that it isn’t a nice place.”Prologue [Loki x Reader]2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
It really was a nice place. Ten feet below you hid a river behind thick berry bushes. The only place where the clear water was visible was at a makeshift bridge of stepping stones to the other side, connecting one bank to the other. There was just enough cleared sand for one to lay out a picnic blanket for a forest picnic, though it was usually always too chilly under the thick canopy of leaves high above. Upslope from the boulder on which you perched was a thick, forked oak tree; and before that, a perfect stone to function as a stepstool. It was as though someone had designed this place, and had carefully controlled every natural element to craft such a perfect hideaway.
“We’re here to enjoy ourselves before I have to go back to Gotham, duh,” she said in her far-too-bu
