For a long time our fans have been watching our wooden sage medallion plaques on our Facebook group, but we have been unable to offer them to people on a global scale. So! With the advent of our new laser cutter, we can finally have an incredibly gorgeous laser cut version!
Each Sage Temple Plaque comes with six perfectly cut decagon slots to house each of the Sage Medallions as seen in the Sage Temple, and in the Ocarina of Time menu system. To finish it off, a golden trim was added along with a beautiful Golden Triforce in the middle.
Two of my most recent orders, the bronze pair is already sold but the rainbow one is still possibly on sale if you're interested the rainbow one has sold too! Feel free to request a similar design again though, I love rainbow gloves ^^
Want a pair of your own design? Custom scale orders can be taken through CraftyMutt's Etsy through purchasing one of the standard custom orders or sending a message about something even more special! You can alternatively order your own custom pair and find out even more information at CraftyMutt's Scale Mail Page where you can find the information I need to make your own unique personally designed gauntlets, and where to send orders
If you want to take your first steps towards learning to make these for yourself check out some DIY Scalemail info.
For reference these are two regular length gauntlets, the rainbow one in medium womans size and the bronze in medium mans. PLEASE NOTE: Bronze is currently out of stock with my supplier and I can't get any right now D: noooooooo...
My favourite thing about these gloves are the noise they make when you stroke the scales... but I also love how fun they are to make, how many different designs are possible and how comfy and warm they are due to an entirely knitted base covering the hand into which scales are incorporated in a way which they do not make skin contact so there's nothing cold or scratchy They're also knitted directly into the fabric so they can't fall off unless you pull them so hard you sever the material itself!
Not my best picture quality due to trying to take a photo of both my hands at once
So I decided to make my own Tesseract from the Avengers movie. I found online how to make one. I used a softball display case and sprayed some frosted glass spray on it, then took some waxed paper, rolled it into a ball and put some LED lights in it. Perfect for any Avengers cosplay, especially a Loki cosplay.
This is my first serious try on a tablet weaving (card weaving) pattern. The pattern is a variation on the well known ramshorn pattern. The belt is about 75cm long and 2cm wide. It is woven with DCM cotton yarn.
I LOVED this pattern my latest completed commission, and another pair with a new pattern are also on the way to another customer.
Want a pair of your own design? Now available as a fully customisable order on Etsy! Check it out! You can also order your own custom pair and find out even more information at CraftyMutt's Scale Mail.
If you're interested in learning how to make something like this yourself I'm building up a Make-Your-Own Scaly Knitting Guide which I will keep adding to as I find out what's needed, so please ask any questions and give feedback about what to include! Keep in mind though I intend to sell a glove pattern, so I won't post that up - mostly information on materials, techniques and such for people to develop their own ideas ^_^
Gloves go for £15-£24 (~$25-$40) +p&p a pair, depending on the request
