"Mademoiselle Skeleton Cameo Necklace" is part of my jewelry line. :)

Each piece was conceived, designed and made (by me) with the idea of a prototype of an ELG elegant-gothic bijoux: crosses, crucifixes, skulls and diamonds, all set in cameos and floral ornaments.

I used several dozen source pictures to piece this window together. Design time was still around 20-25 hours when I got down to adding it all up. This was not an easy piece to construct!

My original submission, which was amazing and won a Daily Deviation, was Fraudulently taken down because a user filed an illegal DMCA takedown and I didn't get back in town in time to contest it, so here it is again! :)

Constructed by: Rick Daniels
Designed by: Rick Daniels

This is possibly the most amazing and complicated piece I've ever made. The final dimensions for this piece are 31"x47" There are a total of 334 Pieces of Glass and the window is 9.5 square feet. I used 275 feet of copper foil and 5 rolls of solder to complete this. Construction time is over 100 hours. Those of you with keen eyesight will notice that Iron Man is propped up with two books on contract law, which proves that law school is not a complete waste of time, because you can set things on your books when you're done.

I redesigned this thing so many times that you can tack on another 20-25 hrs for design time. There are 11 different colors of glass. This is a foiled piece with a re-bar backing for support. A Wooden Frame will be added before shipping for additional support.

This is a genuine stained glass window constructed by myself, and it represents the new Iron Man armor style. I believe it is the Mark 47 Armor. This piece is very large, very heavy, and very, very awesome.

This was my first pair of fully scaled gauntlets, and extra long at 12 inches instead of the usual 6 or 9! The palm is left scale free for holding stuff. but the rest is completely scaled, so it takes around twice as many scales to make this as it does to make a standard pair of long gloves - nearly 800!
It was great fun to make and I love the scaly feel so when I eventually get round to deciding on what my perfect pair will look like I'm going to be making myself some all-round gloves as well :D

Want a pair of your own design? Custom scale orders can be taken through CraftyMutt's Etsy through purchasing one of the standard custom orders or sending a message about something even more special like this pair!
You can alternatively order your own custom pair and find out even more information at CraftyMutt's Scale Mail Page where you can find the information I need to make your own unique personally designed gauntlets, and where to send orders :)

If you'd rather try to learn how to make something like this check out the Scale Mail Tutorial Page and any feedback you can give to improve it is massively appreciated ^_^

I LOVED this pattern :D my latest completed commission, and another pair with a new pattern are also on the way to another customer.

Want a pair of your own design? Now available as a fully customisable order on Etsy! Check it out!
You can also order your own custom pair and find out even more information at CraftyMutt's Scale Mail.

If you're interested in learning how to make something like this yourself I'm building up a Make-Your-Own Scaly Knitting Guide which I will keep adding to as I find out what's needed, so please ask any questions and give feedback about what to include!
Keep in mind though I intend to sell a glove pattern, so I won't post that up - mostly information on materials, techniques and such for people to develop their own ideas ^_^

Gloves go for 15-24 (~$25-$40) +p&p a pair, depending on the request

The latest incarnation of the Thingometer! As worn at Euchronia - the ALTV Steampunk New Years Eve party in Melbourne.

This device is worn strapped to a leg for hands free operation, and to give the user the greatest possible dexterity for ripping it off and tossing it should it decide to explode. For Euchronia, it was attached to a Corset Inspector device (early incarnation documented [link] - it has since been upgraded)
