SWAMP THING: The Orchestral ScoreGot a weird treats for you all,SWAMP THING: The Orchestral Score3 years ago in Personal More Like This
For years, whenever I've been intensively drawing a comic project I often felt the need the write myself some music. I've found out multiplying my creative output mysteriously benefit them all. There is, usually, no link bridging my Comic and musical world. Some fugues and some String Quartet sketches have been paired with Batman Incorporated for instance.
This time, being so enthusiast for swamp thing, I went and wrote the scored for issue 7 & 8. OK, not really, but I've tried to cover their thematic stuff in a 3:16 of Full Orchestral Music.
Here a breakdown of the cues:
00:00 The timeless mystery of the Green
00:49 Growth and fate of the Green Warrior
1:36 The Rot
2:00 A bit of actionny big battle for those who got bored until now.
May you enjoy this roughs mix.

a little tampering it will. so simple.
SO to the point:
first of all you need to get sai, you can buy it or you can download it for free. i cant recommend sites but there are some out there where you can download sai for free.
::conversion:: (it only looks long, it is simple and guaranteed to work)
right click the programs icon and then click 'properties'
when the properties dialogue box appears click the 'capability' tab on the top
then click 'run capability troubleshooter'
when it's done looking at it click 'try recommended settings'
then 'test the program'
when i did it, it came up with a warning "do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher make changes to this computer" i clicked yes and then it should run sai and it should work normally.
BUT YOUR NOT DONE YET
close the sai program
go back to the 'program capability troubleshooter' box and click next

Legend of kuchisake onna:
The original legend of kuchisake onna dates back to the heian period, about 1200 years ago. A woman who cheated on her samurai husband was caught and for revenge, he cut her mouth from ear to ear and asked her "who will think you're beautiful now?" This frightening lesson of faithfulness was the beginning of a newer scary story.
In the 1970's, the legend reappeared as a horror. The ghost of the mouth slitted woman was roaming japan. Although, there have been reports of sightings in South Korea and the U.S. The chilling urban legend has inspired numerous movies and rumors of her in other countries.
Description of kuchisake onna:
She is said to wear a surgical mask-which is common in japan-and carries around a pair of large scissors. The usual kuchisake onna is said to have a similar appearance of a yurei spirit (ex: the grudge, the ring, etc.) The legend states that she preys on young ch

Problems with Education - Lack of ContextIt's no secret that I have and have had many problems with schools, schooling, and our American education system. People have asked me what I'd do to fix it. And I suppose I should explain where I come from. I'm not a teacher, not a politician, no longer a student, nor am I the parent of a student. I am simply one of the people burned and burned hard by the American education system. Do my words mean anything? That's up to you, and I'll be honest, some of my ideas sound crazy and I'm not one to judge plausibility. All I have is experience, logic, and my knowledge on the subject.Problems with Education - Lack of Context2 months ago in Personal More Like This
There are many places that I could start: eviscerating Common Core, the assembly line method of teaching, standardized testing, education becoming a worldwide religion, and most of all, college. But I thought I wanted to start with "context."
What is 5+14? The answer is 19. Now tell me why we care about this problem? We don't. There is none. It's a random math problem that I made up, and literally any equation
On Humor and Grittyness in Movies/Video GamesI'm getting really sick of the idea that the only good action movies or video games are ones where everything is all serious and dark. It's the whole "gritty" concept blown to extremes. But through all the countless games I've played and movies I've watched, I think that we could back off a bit from being too damn serious and have some fun once in a while. On Humor and Grittyness in Movies/Video Games2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Take the latest Die Hard movie as a prime example. From the start it's a dark, gritty, almost monochromatic movie with a 20 minute car chase sequence at the beginning so over-the-top that it's almost cartoony. But the way it's shot is atrocious and there's no character development what-so-ever that 40 minutes into the film I was looking at the clock wondering not only "when will this be over," but also "what the f*** did I just watch?"
Contrast that to something like Independence Day. People like to rag on Independence Day because it's so "goofy" and "absurd." But what helps the film is that we're given time to enjoy the characters s

So even though Duck Hunt is my new character of choice in Smash (because COME ON, its existence alone in the game is a gleaming miracle of unexpected magnificence), I have still indulged in some Falcon Times, as well. Falcon Times are important.
And in playing a series of online matches as the good captain, letting loose a tireless (but maybe tiresome) tirade of 'FALCON PUNCHES' and 'FALCON KICKS' in his melodious voice for a couple rounds, I was surprised when one of the strangers I was fighting in the group then ALSO started playing as Captain Falcon, apparently converted by the captain's very loud, vocal gospel.
And then another.
And then all four of us, unspoken, ALL began playing as Captain Falcon out of some silent sense of solidarity, leading to what was simultaneously a furiously raging battle of fists and

So, I decided to write this article.
For it, I sent this three questions for some pop artists:
- What's the secret to become popular?
- Why do some people become popular so fast, doing ordinary art, and others which do amazing art cant be popular?
- Is there any trick to become popular? Like watching a lot of people, faving everything you can, posting a lot of journals or promoting contests?
Some of them answered me so kindly and fast, others answered me in a way kinda rude and others didnt answer..
By now, I have some ideas, some quotes and I want to show you all information I got about it.
So, lets start:
First, I must say there are several ways to become popular. To make this article, I did a

While Atari may have defined a generation of gamers, Nintendo has both ushered in and held the hearts of several generations with their unique combination of affordable consoles and memorable characters. I know not, whether the microscopic drives will last long enough and whether the plastic and metal which composes them will not disintegrate into dust as centuries pass or whether the titanium shell encasing them will remain in place or be consumed by the ever-changing landscape, lost forever.
And yet I still have hope that someone will find the story of my life, long past and learns something of use from it.
If you are still human, then this will be a story about the collapse of civilization of your forefathers through greed and arrogance.
If you are some other species entirely, then it is a story about how our human race was extin
Tired of the Video Game IndustryWith the PS4 on the way, the gaming industry is alive once again reminding us how dull and boring and... wrong... it is. Polygones = Emotion
I'm sure you've all seen the jokes, but this one stems from David Cage, who gushed over the tech demo of an old man's face for the PS4, remarking about how the only way to get "true" emotion is by bridging the uncanny valley with high resolution models, hi-def textures, and realistic shaders. "True emotion" of course can't be found in books, TV, or cartoons because none of those things can depict the exquisite details of a wrinkled face in true HD glory. I'm sorry to say this, David Cage, but if I can get an emotional response out of 16-bit pixel sprites from Chrono Trigger, or a pictureless book... your logic is faulty.
I'm really getting tired of everything wanting to connect to everything else. I know

On March 1, 2012 the Nevada DMV issued the first license for a Google Driverless Car. The idea behind this innovation is that one day soon new technology will drive cars safer and more skillfully than humans, thus saving lives and billions of dollars in car crashes. How well this idea catches on is a bit questionable, given the powerful “romance” of driving one’s car, but it’s certainly an indicator of things to come in the daily intersection of human and artificial intelligence and mobility. There have always been those who have dreamed of stepping into a mechanical exo-skeletal-type “suit” and letting the engineering do the work, insta

There is one’s bedroom, one’s home, neighborhood, school and town, state and nation. Early on, maps become important documents – declarations of being and rights and privileges. In the art world, throughout history, maps have been a constant measure of human progress, from the Phoenecians recording their trade routes over 2000 years ago, or pre-Columbian times in which map
