Like always, if you haven't watched the episode yet and don't want to be spoiled, don't read the rest.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I had my serious doubts about this episode at first before I began watching it. see, a few days before this episode aired now, I had accidentlly watched a spoiler clip of it while looking at that very good article in usatoday.com talking about ponies planting a hoof in pop culture. And afte I had watched it, I was terrified that I would hate this episode. Now after I watched it, I have no idea why I would have thought such a thing, but that was before I was thinking about how the writers make sure they create good stories. Such shame should be placed upon me for thinking such a thought.

-Sombra was creepy (though I wish he got some more screentime)
-the dark magic stuff was wow
-Twilight's horn glowing gave Pages of Harmony canon merit
-the animation was superb
-I loved the ending reprise
- the mural of Twilight being trapped by Sombra was creepy
-SPIKE SAVED THE DAY AND GOT HIS OWN MURAL! Seriously, did anypony expect that?
Also, the dark book at the end that Luna had, and the mention of Twilight's "ultimate destiny" in the commercial following it - anypony else thinking Twilight's gonna reach alicorn level?

In my opinion Spilight is sweet, because I see Spike and Twilight as friends and that's it. Not once has Twilight ever refereed to Spike as brother or son. Seriously he is not her son for two reasons; one he is a dragon and she's a pony, two she was just a filly when she hatched him, in other words she was between the ages of 4 and 10, in human terms. Obviously the age gap doesn't seem too big, so I just don't see how that could work. And, yeah yeah yeah, I know she hatched him, but that doesn't make her his mom. Whoever laid the egg is his mom. And let me emphasize on this, SHE WAS A FILLY! That's like saying Applebloom could be a parent! THAT'S SICK!!! So obviously the "son" concept has a few holes in it.
The next idea that bugs me is how everyone thinks they're brother and sister. No, because yet again there is a species barrier.

I believe in right and wrong.
The brony community as a whole doesn't have a defined belief in anything but "love and tolerance." This means that people can pretty much do whatever they want, with no thought to the consequences, and it's okay. It's perfectly acceptable for people to make erotic artwork of ponies, and for people openly admit to pleasuring themselves to such images. And if anyone in the brony community is offended by the application of Rule 34 to the characters of the show, they sure aren't very loud about it. And I know why: for whatever reason, negative opinions concerning things that go against the unwritten rules of decency and propriety are immediately flagged as hate or ignorance, and the purveyors of said opinions are viciously attacked.

ANYWAYS, I gotz a story-ish-like-thing I wanna tell you guys x3
Okay, so I brought what i got done with my fursuit to school today to show my art teacher since it was my last day of school, and I kept putting the head on for no reason. At the end of the day, all of the 7th grade went outside for the last 15 minutes and my teacher let anyone who didn't want to go outside stay in if they wanted to. So, here's what I did: I put my fursuit head on once all the classes were outside. Then I looked out the window with it on and started dancing around and such and people kept looking at me and laughing and stuff and they looked so confused xD and they had NO IDEA it was me (which made it even more amusing) XD Someone actually took their phone or something out and took a pic of me lol xD It was funny....
