Isabella dashed down the halls as fast as she could. "I can't believe what i just heard!" the raven haired teen wiped a tear from her eye while making a left turn.
"Isabella come back!" the girl didn't dare look back for she already recognized the voice. In a panic, the teen took a right and flew through a pair of grey doors. She slumped against a wall and slid to the floor.
"Where did she go?" Isabella listened to the muffled voices as they ran by her hiding place.
"I don't know ,but she seemed to be in quiet a fuss when I saw her run by."
"ugh, but why? One moment were talking the next minute she sprinting out of class!"
"Well lets split up and search for her."
The footsteps faded and Isabella cracked the door to see if they were gone. When she was sure of it, the teen closed it once more

Angered bodies, troubled waves,
I give the water this pen, my sword,
To battle all that isn't there.
For I speak no words, only draw their meaning,
In my minds color filled world,
The pencil, the paper, the thoughts have yet to unfurl.
Like the sky, clouded mind, black and white,
Blue and red, liquid blood, not the answer,
just the one she wants to use.
The ocean sighs, her breath in gasps,
Her touch lingers on the sand, but she's wanted back,
Back into the deep, dark nightmare,
Full of swirling bubbles that stand for lost words.
Rock to and fro in the dreamscape on your boat,
The landscape full of the talking, walking clouds,
The pillows that float just for you,
Your resting mind deprived of all doubts.
I'll tell you her angry, still, yet sad story,
Just bundle yourself at my feet,
It started with the ocean,
And ended in my pen and ink.
A Lover's confessionYami no Yuugi and Anzu were sitting under the cherry tree. She looked tense. It was her first time being alone with him. He was reading his book and somehow she thought that he wouldn't realize that she still was there. Her cheeks blushed. She wanted his attention. "Pharaoh?" she said softly and he finally looked up. "I am reading a book." he smiled. Knowing that this answer wouldn't satisfy her he waited for her response. "I meant... what is the book about." Suddenly he closed the book and looked at her. Her heart beat faster. Why did he look like that all of a sudden? Those amethyst eyes which were trying to capture her in an ocean of no return... she just couldn't resist and stared at him.

I'm no saint. And I'm not straight, either. Girls, guys, it never seemed to matter. But this, this was different. So much was different. Lily had always been the shy, innocent one. But now, I was surprised to have her kiss me.
Eons later, she pulled away and looked at me.
"Lily, I-" I began a speech about how I knew she was straight, knew she only wanted to "experiment" as so many other girls had with me. But I'm no lab rat. Besides, so many girls before, girls who I hadn't even thought about in that way had used me. Then, they used the fact that I wasn't straight as an excuse to push me away. Too many friendships had been ruined, and this wasn't going to happen again. Not with Lily.
But before I could start, she pressed her mouth against mine, this time harder.
She led me to her house and kissed me one more time. T

I never understood what they were called,
for I never saw the 'truth' the others saw,
I never saw the black and white movies they seemed to see,
in what seemed like their own greyscaled world.
Black man and white man,
but all I saw,
were ginger and tawny and chocolate and coffee,
beige and bronze and gold and sandy,
orange and russet and caramel toffee,
there were olive and copper, maroon and mahogany,
where was the black in my saturated world?
Black man and white man,
they demanded of me,
to say the 'truth' that I couldnt see,
I thought they lied but they were convinced,
my mind was strange but they were merely grim,
for where was the black on any skin?
Black man and white man,
but white I didnt see,
only red and rosey and tan and pink,
pebble and eggshell and honey tea,
wood and gold and pearl and paperlike,
colors all jumbled up like dice,
so where was this so called white?
Black man and white man,
seems I'll never understand,
but perhaps if others werent so

I'm even starting to talk to myself. I guess she really made this house lively after all. Wish I noticed.
She was pretty much one of a kind. Or, so I've met. Maybe I've simply been blind in that part too.
When I got to know her better, I was surprised. I thought I knew everything. But some things were said to me every day without words and I just didn't note them. I'm only catching them now.
Such cruel irony.
She was the first to find the things standing right in front of someone's eyes. She had this thing about her that made everyone trust her. She handled things so damn well. People, she was great with people and their problems. I once thought she was a therapist.
I just realized that she may have been good with people because she experi

Not just roses who can be a gesture of love,
The very smell and depth of them,
The beauty within each stem,
Depth of one's emotions,
Depth of one's dreams,
Depth of one's forever,
Until there is nothing else to be seen,
They show the beauty when all is fleeting,
They show the dreams when all is forgotten,
They show the world to the possibilities,
Of every portion that we forget,
Or stop believing in,
Or stop wondering in,
Or forget about not seeing the truth,
That is within each part of the world,
Do we stop and wonder still?
The beauty of the world around us,
So many people with regrets,
So many people with unhappiness,
So many people with vagueness,
Forgetting to stop to see,
The symbols of love all around them,
The wonderful emotion that thinks of all things,
Believes in all things,
Finds hope in all things,
So next time you see a tulip,
In the beauty of nature,
Remember the beauty,
Remember the smell and depth of it,
Remember the love that
The Simple DelightsThe Simple Delights:The Simple Delights2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
The world is a place of simple pleasures
of the simple delights that we fail to see
Like a rose whose thorns will prick unwary
we focus on the negatives that be
But if we chose to hold the rose
Gentle and with grace
Its thorns would simply press our skin
Not pain or poison laced
If we could learn the simple lessons
of looking at all the good things in life
Then food would be the only object
to meet the edge of my knife
I see so many different ways
to enjoy the life that I have today
I could go to the store and buy a snack
A treat for me I say
Perhaps I'll choose to walk the distance
or maybe I'll take the bus this morn
But none can take the simple pleasure
of the rising sun at dawn
The simple things are what I wish to share
For like my heart, they are always true
and if you were here, sitting beside me
then I'd share this sunrise with you

The doors burst open, several policemen rushed inside; guns aimed and ready. Others stayed outside, some in the open and some crouched behind the police cars.
“So, how do we do this?” Doku whispered frantically to Kage.
“Want to take the ones outside? I’ll stay inside and get these ones.” Kage replied, unsheathing his claws.
“Ah, sure; just be careful.”
“I will, don’t worry.” Kage jumped to the wall and quickly climbed to the ceiling.
Doku went the other way, grabbing his bladed staff and going through a window. Outside was dark, from the roof Doku could see all around. Police cars surrounded the building, maybe half a dozen or so. Beside them were the police.
Doku stayed in the shadows, looking to see which ones to get first. He spotted two of them who were quite close to the building. He moved over to them quietly, without being noticed.
Then he shot out the bladed staff, piercing one of them in the shoulder. They cried out

The demon eyed the deadly blades and sighs when he sees that they were no longer moving towards him. He took a few deep breaths to calm himself down. He slowly starts to get up.
The face on Kage’s mask changed back to an angry one, and he shoved the blade forward, causing the demon to fall again.
“おまえだれ！？” (Who are you!?) Kage snarled.
“まて、おまえ-!” (Wait, you-!) The demon replied hastily, raising his hands a little to show that he wouldn’t attack.

Kagekao had managed to sneak onto a flight headed to Japan. It was a long flight, but he managed to stay hidden throughout it. However, it was boring; so he did decide to have some fun towards the end of the flight.
After the plane had landed and the passengers were waiting to be let out, Kage had snuck up on two of the airline staff. He killed them silently, and then put their bloody bodies on the cart that held drinks and food. He then shoved the cart down the aisle, sending it rolling away with the bodies on it, spilling blood onto the floor as it sped by the passengers.
The passengers had panicked and started screaming and running around. Kage, satisfied with his work, made his way away from the scene and towards the cargo hold. People had already begun taking the bags out, so the door was open and he left.
It was late at night, so the area was dark and filled with shadows; perfect for a demon like Kage to stealthily get around.
Kage then made his way past the airport; climbing up

The sun was in the sky, now fully out. Esther and Zehnder had been standing there, watching it rise. It was nice to not have that hatred and those lies between them anymore.
“I guess I should be going now, work and stuff.” She started into the woods.
Zehnder turned to look at her.
“See you again, then; after work, as usual?”
Esther smiled at him.

Max whimpered. He was lying on the bed, same as when Esther left. Even though he had been alone on the streets, he didn’t like being alone now. He cocked his head to one side, and then the other; his slightly large ears flopping to the side as he did. He stared at the door in anticipation, worried.
Max kept having the awful feeling that she would never return again. He didn’t like being alone, and didn’t want to be. He rolled over on his back and stared at the door; trying to make it open through pure will.

Kage sighed. He climbed further up the roof so that he could no longer hear his parents; he didn’t like to hear them so sad.
Kage climbed to the highest part of the roof and sat down; he felt like he needed some alone time to think. He felt afraid; he didn’t know what his parents were planning, but it didn’t sound very easy.
He closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of the night. The wind blowing through the grass and the trees, crickets here and there, things of that sort. They were calming and peaceful, something nice.
Kage opened his eyes, and thought he saw something in the woods. He grew alert and looked over in the direction where he thought he had seen it. It had been small and subtle, but there was something.
Kage silently climbed down the roof and onto the ground. He headed into the forest, looking for the thing that he had seen. He walked over to where he had seen it, and found it; a small luminous yellow light floating through the air. It was a firefly,

Daniel found the game to be slightly addicting and he always had a hard time putting it down. He always carried around his Gameboy color with him along with Pokemon Red game, even to school. Daniel was a good boy though so he would only play his game when it was recess, then he wouldn't get his precious game taken away. Kagekao followed Akadoku out of the warehouse. It was dark, so they didn’t have to worry too much about running into humans. They were able to walk normally on the sidewalk, hiding whenever a human came near.
They walked through the city, avoiding civilians and going at a quick pace. As they walked, Kage looked around. He could remember this place, he could remember climbing these buildings and preying on these people.
He could also remember the shinigami. Being in this city again, Kage could feel that dread that he had felt when he was younger and alone here; the dread that Scollex could be around any corner, ready and waiting to attack him.
Whenever turning a corner or hearing someone approach, Kage unsheathed his claws a little subconsciously, ready for a fight. Whenever he heard footsteps behind them he always expected to see those three large pairs of wings again.

A few minutes after Scollex had disappeared, Kage continued laughing. But in a short amount of time, the amused feeling faded; only to be replaced by pain.
The sharp pain of the large open wound on his chest was excruciating. Kage stumbled backwards, hitting the wall of a building. He grabbed the wound, as if covering it would make it stop hurting.
He heard a door open, along with a few windows, and voices were heard; humans would arrive soon. Panicking, Kage grabbed the wall that he had fallen onto and strained to climb up. He managed to scale the building and reach the roof, although he left a trail of blood smeared onto the wall.
Kage left a few seconds before a human arrived to see what the ruckus was about. Still dripping blood, Kage difficulty made his way back to the old building with the room. He climbed the side, and then opened and entered the room through the window.
Back inside, Kage fell to the ground, feeling light headed and weak due to the loss of blood. Looking around
