Mixed feelings about it actually.
For one, I find Corner Brook (where I go to school) a much more enjoyable place, plus ~Nickpatey lives there.
On the other hand, I am kinda glad to be home. There's the simple things like being able to eat as much as I want, better shower, all that jazz. Then there's something I can't really explain. It feels good to be back in my own room with my video games and everything else, just like before I left, when I actually talked to my Buddies. :iconcryforeverplz: I guess nostalgia is the best explanation.
On a related note, my room is organized just how I like it - minus a few things I have left in Corner Brook - for the first time since I left for college LAST YEAR, which makes me SO HAPPY and a bit tearful (well on the inside, not physically (that makes sense, shut up)).

Exciting news!So, my Tshirt design (Sherlock's Mind Palace), is about two votes away from being to most popular shirt of all time on Qwertee. Okay screw that I checked it while I was writing this journal and it is now the most popular tee of all time. I wishI often wonder about the many Doctors I see, well the ones who claim to be of such occupation anyway. I have met apathy, narcissism, and many other less than delectable traits from them. My current physician won't even look me in the eye, rather, he stares at his computer screen avidly and denies me anything I ask for. A feminine problem? Go make an appointment with the women's clinic. (Mind you I have to be referred there by him, other wise they will send me right back to him.) I need to see a rheumatologist? No. Your last Doctor put this in there and you have it so you can't go see one. Problems with my medication being too little? No. The last Doctor put you on the prescription so you have to stay on it. (mind you the last doctor had me on a higher script for six months then took me off of it cold turkey. Fine risk that. I was forced to go through the walk in clinic where other doctors put me on even lesser scripts before I wound up seeing the doctor who only gave me the 2 a day toI wish6 months ago in Personal More Like This

I grew up, like millions of children, on Muppets and Sesame Street. I remember seeing "The Jim Henson hour", which always ended with "The Storyteller". I was held captive by "Hans my Hegehog", "Fearnot", "The Heartless Giant" and other stories shown there. And I remembered when n he died, a remarkable thing for a girl who couldn't even spell her own name at that point. Jim Henson was god to me then, I KNEW who he was. Years ago life's prescriptions were to go outside, meet new people, meet and set goals, live life away from your couch and tv, grow your self esteem, face bad situations head on and self discipline.
WTF happened? I have PTSD, chronic depression, paranoia, and mild OCD.
I often refuse to take any mind or mood altering drug. Hell, I don't really drink any more.
I'm happy. Happier than I have been in years. Want to know what my medicine is? I never give up. Sure I fall but I get back up. The formula that has worked for me is,don't be lazy about your problems. There's no easy fix.

Every year it's the same thing. April 1rst rolls around and DA does some geeky fantastic thing to prank it's members.
Personally, I love that the staff on Deviant Art go out of their way to have some fun with it's members. Can you imagine all the coding and debugging their staff has to do for this stuff? Not only do they have to plan in advance but they have to figure out ways to keep it as light and inoffensive as possible. In this day and age EVERY ONE gets offended for something. There's this disease called "stick up the ass syndrome" and it's gotten every where.
Look, DA does a bang up job to try and connect with it's clientele. This is more than most companies do who just accept your money and then ignore you for the next cash wad. Holding up a social site, as well as all the laws connected to one, isn't easy. It's impossible to make every one happy, but they try.

One day this week I went to work at Wal*Mart and there were a group of people holding signs at one of the entrances in protest of gay marriage. One of them read "Marriage is between 2 people. 1 man+ 1 woman" I was terribly offended by this and reported it to management, in hope we could have them removed or something. Turns out we can not legally ask them to leave unless if they harass people by following them or not leaving them alone. So I decided to do the next best thing and grabbed my notebook and a pen and ran outside to make my own sign. I had thirty minutes till my shift started, why not give these folks a run for their money, eh? So I wrote in my notebook "Marriage is between 2 people! Gender means nothing!"

I've been thinking, something I like to do as a hobby that often gets me into trouble, and reading about what it means to be an artist. To find what the meaning of "art" is, one may also ask, "what's the meaning of life?" Both are "burning Questions" that get a different answer each time they are asked.
For me, my art is a tool to be used in self expression. It's a nice theory, but like most hypotheses, not all it's cracked up to be once you get into the nitty gritty of the subject. Art is gray,.......like the wrinkled gray matter between our ears. It's all intellectual in design.
And then you have those funny things called emotions that gum up the works.
