The night sky, flashing lights, screaming people and blood was all you remembered from that night. You were laying in a hospital bed, your head bandaged up along with your arms and machines hooked up to you. You blinked and stared out the window at the blue sky and the white fluffy clouds. You could hear the nurses in the hallway talking, patients coughing, machines beeping and footsteps of visitors.

Then,a pair of those footsteps stopped outside your door and you slowly pulled your gaze away from the window to look at who it was. It was a short, slim man with black hair and flatly-colored dark brown eyes,he had a worried expression on his face.

"______-san?",he asked. "How do you know my name?",you asked gazing at him with dull eyes. "D-dont you remember me?I am Kiku, your best friend,I called 911 when you were hit by that car.",said Kiku. "No...I dont remember....",you said. "Please try to.",he whispered walking over and crouching by the hospital bed. "How can I? Try and give me something to help....",you said gazing at him with dull (Eye color) eyes.

"Uhhhh,oh!",he said taking out a necklace with a pink crystal at the end carved into a cherry blossom. "....",you didnt say anything, that blank expression never left your face. "I gave this to you at your birthday when you were 12.",he said giving a small smile before putting it around your neck. "I- I dont remember....",you said softly. "Ummm, what about this?",he asked and pointed to a small braclete on your wrist. "I gave that to you when you were at the park with me one day last summer.",he said gazing at you with such an intensity you were a little scared.

You tried hard to remember only to say,"I cant remember...I cant..." "Well, I wont give up!I will bring more stuff to try and help okay?",Kiku said, voice cracking a little. "Okay.",you said nodding slightly. "I will see you soon ____-san.",he said giving a small smile before leaving you alone. "Bye Kiku...",you murmmured still confused as to who he was.

~A few months later~

Kiku had come and visited you many times during the few months that you were recovering, but you remembered nothing. You had felt odd around Kiku though as he helped you and tried to get you to remember. It was like you had butterflies in your stomach and your heartbeat fast when you caught sight of him. You were sitting in bed, watching the gray sky as snowflakes fell. You frowned and glanced at the clock.

7:00 P.M.

You sighed and layed back on your bed,Kiku said he would be here today, but now visiting hours were closed so he couldnt see you even if he wanted to. You felt something in you break a little and you winced inwardly. You closed your eyes and started crying. You were heartbroken, you had fallen for Kiku and him not being here made you feel abandoned.

You wondered what he was doing right now, what had made him not be able to come,or had he chosen not to just because he didnt feel like it? You cried harder and took off the necklace he gave you when you first got here and held it tightly in your hands. You ended up crying yourself to sleep.

The next day,you awoke exhausted, you felt tired and worn out from the night before due to crying. You barely got any sleep, you had tossed and turned all night. You got out of the hospital bed and stummbled over to the mirror and grabbed a brush. You began combing knots out of your hair, the only reason you were still here was because you needed therapy for the nightmares you had of that night you were hit by the car.

You winced as you remembered Kiku had been the one to call 911 and get you the help you had desprately needed. You sighed and realized you had dropped you necklace on the floor, you leaned down and picked it up before putting it back on. You sighed and closed your eyes.

"You look very pretty today.",said a voice and you opened your eyes before turning to its direction. "Kiku!",you exclaimed. "_____-san.",he said quietly before you ran up and gave him a hug which he squirmed away from. "Kiku,I love you.",you blurted out. "_____-san,I do too.",he said before pulling you close and kissing you. "You wont leave me will you?",you asked. "Never,I would never leave the ones I love.Thats a promise.",Kiku said.
Very quickly typed,so sorry if you are confussed, a quick oneshot.

"Ugh!," you pouted as you stared at your reflection. Your eyes couldn't help, but notice the imperfect things about you, "I'm ugly..."

Japan, who was nearby, heard you and approached you, "_-_____-san..."

"Y-yes Kiku..?" you stammered, a light blush decorating your cheeks.

"Remember earrier? You had asked me to teach you how to draw manga-styre,"

"Oh, yeah!"

"Werr.. I was wondering if I courd teach you right now since I'm free,"

You nodded and he started walking. Quickly, you followed him, not wanting to be left behind.

"So.. Japan.. What are you gonna teach me right now..?"

"I was thinking that I courd show you how I draw first, then we'rr work on the basics and start expanding on the other parts.. If that's arright with you, that is," he replied, glancing at you from the corner of his eye.

You blushed, looking down at the ground shyly. This was the most attention you had received from your Japanese crush, "Yes, that's fine,"

"Here we are," Japan stated and you looked up to see a traditional Japanese home. He opened the door and let you in, "Prease make yourserf at home. I wirr go get some refreshments. What wourd you rike?"

You went, putting your stuff by the doorway before sitting at one of the floor pillows (those traditional pillows some Japanese sit on), "I'll just take green tea. Thanks,"

"Arright. You're wercome," the Japanese man disappeared and you took the time to glance around his home. It was very simple, but it held a relaxing feeling. There was a few decorations here and there.

Since you were busy glancing around the room , you didn't notice Japan come in the room until he placed a tray of dango, a teapot and two cups on the table. He sat beside you and poured some tea for the two of you, holding one out for you. You accepted it and sipped the warm tea, sighing in happiness.

"Arright," he brought out two sketch pads and a sketching set, "I wirr draw something first, then I wirr teach you step-by-step. " he looked at you for approval and you nodded.

Quickly, he picked up a pencil and started sketching the rough draft. You watched in awe as his hand made fluid motions across the paper.

Soon, he put the pencil down, snapping you out of your 'in awe' state.

"Wow!! Japan, that's awesome!!"

"T-thank you.." he blushed at the compliment and you smiled,

"No problem! I wish I could draw like that," you sighed before raising your eyebrows, "The girl's really pretty.. But she seems a bit familiar..."

Japan blushed and looked to the side, "W-werr.. I based her off someone I know.. She's rearry beautifur though she doesn't rearise it..."

"Who? I wanna meet her!"

"Y-you can't meet her.. It's not possibre.."

"Eh? Why not..?"

"Because.. The girr.. Is you, ____,"

You stood, shocked, trying to register what he said. When your mind finally processed what he said, you quickly glomped him, your head against his chest, "J-Japan.. Y-you think...That I'm... beautiful..?"

"Y-yes.. I don't know why you think you are ugry when you are far from it... In fact.. You are perfection in my eyes.."

"... Really..?"

"Y-yes.. Rearry," he blushed harder and you look up from his chest.

You smiled and leaned up, pecking his lips, "Thanks Japan.."

"Y-you're wercome,"
He seems OOC here... ^^; Forgive me for that.. But I wrote this like.. 2am last night. Cuz my inspiration usually comes at night..

The tiny sound of the bell ringing filled the silence. You stepped through the grimy door, your eyes widening at the cornucopia of books that stretched across the room. Stacks of books were in each and every corner of the little shop, tables overflowing with them. Shelves went all the up to the ceiling, books of all shapes and sizes adorning them.

This was the sort of place you were looking for, the quiet type of paradise that until now had eluded you. Except, the place was filthy.

Dust cloaked the wooden shelves, hell even the air was thick with it. You had to watch your feet carefully, to make sure your nose wouldn't meet the floor anytime soon.

"Hello?" You said, scanning the room for a sentient life form. "Hello? Is there anyone here?" Your voice got louder as you tried again. After managing to stumble closer to the only table with a cash machine, you rang the bell that was settled on the desk.

A groan emitted from behind the doorway, which was covered by strands of fabric, in an attempt to give the room behind some privacy.

A man appeared, leaning against the wall, looking absolutely exhausted. Alarmed, you reached forward to help him, but he merely waved you off.

"What can I help you with?" He asked unenthusiastically. "We-well, I'm looking for a job you see, so when I saw the notice in the window-"

"What?! Who put that there?" He sighed agitatedly, running a hand through his dishevelled hair. "Must've been Yao...." After sighing again, he glanced at you, taking you in.

"It's true I've needed a helping hand. But honestly not enough people come in here anymore, so it doesn't really matter...."

You snorted derisively. "Well, I'm not surprised, this place is a mess." He shot a glance around the room. "It can't see what wrong with it. I can find whatever I need fine. Besides, I like it when it's quiet. I just want to be left alone."

"Then why open a shop in the first place?" You told him, frowning. "I love reading, I like books. So go figure, I opened a bookshop where I can read all I want."

You threw your hands up in the air. "This place could look really nice! Hire me. For a week or so and I promise I'll make the place look good and get people in." He stared at you quizzically, repeating what he'd said. "I just like being left alone."

This man presented a challenge for you. And you would definitely win. "Screw it. I don't care if you hire me now. If I can get ten people in that buy a book by the end of the week, then you can consider me hired. If not, I'll just leave you alone forever."

He smirked, he liked the sound of you leaving. Besides there was no way, you could get anyone to come in.  "Deal."

The next day you returned, carrying bags filled to the brink with cleaning equipment. You decided to start on the windows, hopefully once they were clean and open, you could see the mess that awaited you a bit better.

You flipped the closed sign that was hanging in the door. But when you turned it around again and again, you realised both sides had 'CLOSED' printed on it. Sighing, you raised your eyebrow, but left it as it was.

You heard a clink as the man you now knew as Kiku set down a mug of coffee on his cluttered. He propped his feet up as he settled down to read a dusty novel, wrapped in a blanket. As you'd managed to creak the windows open, it had become quite cold inside.

But already the place looked a lot fresher, the old stuffy air having disappeared outside. After half an hour of swiping the grime away from the window panes, you deemed them clean enough and you smiled, happy you'd gotten one thing done.

But your spirits fell as you turned and witnessed the onslaught of books. This should take more than a week to do, at least, but you were determined not to lose face.

Kiku watched with an amused smile over the rim of his coffee cup as you set about removing the books from the shelves, putting them in orderly piles on the dusty floor.

First you made sure to clean each shelf, careful not to lose your footing on the rickety stepladder and knock over the books.

It wasn't that hard, but it was very satisfying when after several hours you looked at the gleaming wood you'd polished meticulously.

By this time Kiku had fallen asleep the book lying over his face. You took that moment to have a proper look at him. He was rather small and the black hair framing his face was disarrayed. You caught the book as it slid of his face, not wanting to wake him.

He looked quite sweet as he snored gently, it was when he started talking that it irritated you. If only he could be this nice when he was awake, you thought as you left the book on his desk.

You placed a ribbon on the page he was at, placing a small stone on top of it, so the spine would be back to normal when he started reading again.

You plopped down on the Chesterfield sofa you'd uncovered during your cleaning. After clearing some books from your side, you picked one up and leafed through it. You sighed as you glanced across the amount of books you'd have to classify, alphabetise and put back on the shelves after cleaning each one.

But that would have to be a chore for the next day. After another look around the cosy room, you smiled, waved at Kiku even though he was asleep and left. When he heard the telltale chime of the bell, Kiku opened his eyes and shyly returned your wave.

Truth was, though he was irritated someone was invading his private space, he was happy. Happy someone was interested enough in his shop that they'd go to such lengths. Kiku's brown eyes scanned the piles of books, enjoying the warmth of the setting sun on his face as it streamed through the clean glass.

"Morning!" you greeted, swinging into the shop with ease, smiling as Kiku nodded at you. You grinned as you saw what you still had left.  The stack of books waiting for you was still quite large, but as all you had to do was alphabetise it, it was simple.

Kiku's eyes didn't leave you, save only when you looked at him, then they'd flick back to his book. Looked like he was going to lose. Not that he'd really lose anything except his personal space.  Besides the smile that you had plastered on your face was making his heart flip.

After the last book found its place on the shelf, you stood back, hands on your hips as you chuckled. "It's done!" You sang, cheering as you did a victory dance.  All that was left was to sweep the floor and get the customers.

Kiku's book was snapped shut by him and he stood up to inspect. After making a quick tour round the room, he nodded and muttered something to himself. Then he sat down on the sofa next to you.

"I don't even need those ten people to come in. You're hired." He told you as he sat back and closed his eyes. Your own (e/c) eyes widened. "Really?! Thank you so much!" You hugged him closely and you could feel the heat steaming from his cheeks.

When you released him, he coughed over his embarrassment. "Yes, well, when I see you working so hard, it wouldn't be fair not to give you the job." He clarified, glancing away from you. Your eyes met his and he seemed about to say something when the bell rang.

The two of you jumped in shock as you saw a couple of people sidle in, looking around and scanning the spines of the books.

You grinned and held your hand out to him, standing up. "C'mon. I suggest you take a shower, wouldn't want you to be the only thing here that wasn't presentable." You said with a wink. He took hold of your hand and hauled himself up.

"Alright. Also," He murmured as he turned to the door, "I'm leaving the customers to you." He kissed your cheek and vanished into the lurking darkness behind the doorway.
I apologise. I know Japan is OOC..... But I really think he'd be pissed off if this was to happen!

Also, I got this idea from the wonderful tv-series "Black Books". If you haven't heard of it, I really suggest you watch it! It's one of my favourites!

And to those who do know it, I love Bernard!! He's so brilliantly sarcastic!

Please enjoy and tell me what you think, I love reading comments ^^

You walked down the gray sidewalk of the clean and neat street as you whistled to the newest kpop song by [Favorite Kpop Group/Artist]. The song was quite catchy as always and it just so happened to also be a favorite song by your best friend, Kiku Honda. Ever since your first day of junior high school the two if you became very good friends due to you both sharing a huge interest in anime.

Kiku was always a very shy and thoughtful Japanese boy. Although when it came to anime he would liven up and he could talk about it forever and ever, as could you. This is how Kiku usually acted in a nut shell, but lately he has been acting...strange. Specifically starting this week. He blushed a lot, stuttered, and seemed to sweat whenever you were around now. This is very unlike him except when a very pretty girl from an anime was involved. You thought that maybe he just thought you looked like one, so basically you just brushed it off.

Today was a Saturday which, of course, meant no school. Usually on Saturdays you would go over to Kiku's house and watch the latest anime. Right now it was Sword Art Online. It was very new and you and Kiku thought that the plot was just spectacular. A lot of thought was put into it.

You slightly giggled when you thought of last week, when you accidentally hugged hum because a certain part was very fluffy. Of course he laid the "no touchie" rule on you, which you thought was adorable in a friendly way. Before you knew it -due to your thinking- you were at Kiku's house.

You took out a key from under the mat and opened the locked door. Gladly, you strolled in as you would on any other normal Saturday. You made sure to leave your shoes by the door before you went to Kiku's room. "Kiku-kun, I'm here!" You shouted from halfway down the hallway.

You approached the last door to the right and opened it without knocking. Kiku hated this, which is why you did it. Teasing him was so fun. When he would give you a small lecture about how improper it is. Then he'd go into an honor speech and end it with a "I'm grad I rive arone." Yeah, believe it or not he lived by himself practically. Kiku's parents were rarely home.

"H-herro, [Y/N]-chan..." You stopped dead in your tracks from walking in his room and gave a confused look. Did Kiku really just not scold you for not knocking? Did he really just ignored it and stuttered?

"You feeling okay, Kiku?" You asked as you slowly went to go sit down in the red beanbag chair next to Kiku's green one. He only looked at you and nodded. Alright, either something was wrong with Kiku or this was just a drunken dream and you would wake up with a hangover soon. You slapped that thought out of your head. No way that second option was possible.

Instead of taking drastic measures you just patiently waited for Kiku to turn on the anime.

At the end of the first episode you two had watched that day, you were starting to feel cold. Kiku took note of this as he hid joy behind his soulless dark brown eyes. This was exactly what he was waiting for. He wanted to tell you his feelings and he thought that the best way would be with a cheesy fluffy pickup line.

"[Y/N]-chan...are you cord?" He asked with little confidence. You responded with a small yes. Kiku tried not to ruin anything by smiling before he said the next part. "Werr...can I be your branket?"

You never laughed so hard in your entire life.
Finally I have written a one-shot with my favorite Hetalia character. I really liked how this turned out. Please favorite, comment, and watch me for more FanFiction and one-shots about Hetalia to come. If you see any grammar errors, spelling errors, or if someone seems too OOC please tell me. Thank you and enjoy.

I do not own the preview picture.

"Morning Kiku." you greeted to him shyly in the morning at his desk like you always do.
"Oh, good morning ___." he greeted. You checked in. You always had a thing for Kiku but you would rather be burned alive than tell him and face possible rejection.
"H-How are you?" he blushed.
"F-Fine." you replied. he nodded.
"That's good." quickly you rushed to your desk. Three rows down and four across from his desk. There you had a great angle of him where you can spy on him. Everyday you focused on his silky black hair, calm and collected voice and doe-like chocolate brown eyes without him knowing. You loved gazing at every detail of him.
"___? ___?" you looked up to see Kiku staring right at you. Instantly you two blushed.
"Well, its lunch hour." he replied.
"Oh, so it is..." you say looking at the clock trying to avoid eye contact.
"I-I was wondering if you wanted to come eat lunch with me?" he asked in his quiet tone.
"S-Sure." you smiled standing up.
"Yeah." you two walked out the door trying to ignore the hoots and hollers of your co-workers.
"Go get him girl." your gay best-friend and roommate winked at you. You glared at him before you made it out the door. You two walked in a little cafe 3 blocks away. The food was good and you and Japan had a pleasant conversation about your co-workers.
"We should do this more often." you said. He blushed and nodded,
"Yes, this was nice,"
"Yeah, it was." you two noticed a girl came to your table with a pleased smile on her face.
"You guys are like the cutest couple I've seen!" she giggled. Both your eyes widened,
"Wait, you two aren't a couple?" the girl asked slightly disappointed,
"N-No" Japan answered trying to avoid eye contact. You just looked down. All the other costumers that were watching you looked a bit embarrassed,
"That's a shame you guys would make such-"
"Check please!" you and Japan both said with new shades of red. After you convinced Japan to split the bill instead of him paying for it all you two walked back to all your co-workers leaving your friends desk masked with guilty faces.
"Thank you that was fun." you smiled. In the spur of the moment you kissed his cheek making bear a shade that could put tomatoes to shame. He nodded and you two went back to your seat.
"That's it?" your friend asked. you rolled your eyes.
"Yes,that's it what did you expect?"
"Never mind I dont wanna know." you shook your head. He chuckled. Realizing what you did you matched his shade.
"That was bold for you ya know." he smiled.
"Dont remind me." you sighed. He scooted forward and huffed.
"Sweetheart, he is smiling in his chair and I'm pretty sure something is full in the front." he laughed. you sighed. (i just realized hes wrong XD sorry sorry)
"While he's thinking of you why don't you ask him out now?" he said kicking you down the row along with the help of all your co-workers. You bumped into Kiku.
"Oh, ___." he said shocked.
"Hi." you blushed and looked around seeing you were surrounded by your co-workers. You just sat back and stayed silent. So your friend jumped in.
"Okay, we all know this too well. Kiku, you like her and ___, I know for a fact you like him and if you so much as deny it I will show him what you have in your file case. Kiku please before all grow old and die-"
"GO OUT WITH HER!" your co-workers and boss said. You two blushed.
"O-Okay" he replied making everyone cheer.
"So Saturday, dinner and movie?" your friend asked. You just looked at him as if to say. "I can't believe you just did that!"
Saturday came and you wore a blue/black corset top, with black skinnys and blue heels. You met up with outside yours and your friends house and both your jaws dropped. Kiku was wear a brown button up nice jeans and brown shoes. The brown made his eyes pop.
"Y-You look..." you guys began. You both knew what you were going to say so you stopped. Walking to the restaurant you found your hand in his and smiled. He looked away blushing. The dinner was amazing and the live jazz band was even better.
"This is amazing" you said when you took a bite of your desert. He ate some of his own and nodded. Then, some of the workers gently forced you two on the dance floor. You two realized that you were both light on your feet. After dinner and forced dancing you two split the bill again. (After convincing him to again) you two went to the movies and you both agreed on horror. Even though you were never scared by these movies the killer frightened you. The thing that really got you was his wicked laughter. Every time he laughed it gave you the chills.
"Were you scared?" he asked after the movie.
"Just by the killer." you answered shuttering.
"I dont think it was that bad." he smiled.
"Well, the killer played that part a little too well if you ask me." he chuckled at your remark.
"he was pretty good wasn't he?" at the house you pecked him on the lips and he let it linger.
"Um, goodnight." you and him both say. Right when you step in you were attacked by questions from your friend. Finally you gave in and told him everything he didn't even interrupt once. The next day you say cherry blossoms on your desk surrounding a card that read. "Thank you for a wonderful date. Kiku." you smiled.
~Nine months later~
You were gazing at all the cherry blossoms falling off the trees in Japan.
"It's amazing." you gasped.
"So are you." he smiled. You kissed him.
"There's a real reason I brought you here." he explained breaking the kiss. he got down on one knee and pulled out a box holding a ring with a big diamond in the middle surrounded by little pink ones.
"___, I love you with all my heart, i want to be able to wake up every morning and see your face next to mine. I dont care were we'll be I just want to see your face first thing in the morning for the rest of my life. Will you marry me?" you nodded and he slipped the ring on your finger. he kissed you passionately letting all the love, lust, desire and power break through. Three days later you were married in that same spot and your friend left a puddle of tears in his chair happy that he gets to be a "Godfather" soon. You woke up days later in your new place with Kiku. You smiled at his face when he slowly woke up.
"Ohayou." he said lovingly.
Well, this was for a friend and I thought i would share it. Plus, I don't have that many HetaliaXReaders right now..... don't kill me! ;~;

I kinda like how its fluffy! ^.^

Hetalia is not mine

After washing your hands, you climbed up the stairs, rang the bell, clapped twice and bowed. you were visiting a shrine in Japan since you were there on vacation, seeing the sights. You were originally from America, so all of this was foreign and wonderful to you! As you bowed your head, you had no idea what to do, so you made a wish. Please, let me be successful in finding love. you wished, hoping it would come true. You had several crushes over the years, but they all just saw you as family. You had tried to go out with one of your crushes who happened to be your best friend in elementary school, but that never worked out, he never bothered to try to hang out with you. There was one guy you had fallen head over heels for, but he moved away when you were in middle school.  You sighed as you remembered this.
As you finished, you turned around and started going back down the steps. You reached the last step when you tripped over a branch. You braced yourself for the hard impact, but it never came. You opened your eyes to see a man with dark brown eyes and short black hair cradling you in his arms.
"Are you alright miss?" His voice sounded familiar. Now that you realized it, everything about him seemed familiar. Thats when it hit you.
"Kiku?! Kiku Honda Is that you?!" You asked excitedly. He looked at you confused and scared for a moment, then his face brightened.
"______? Is that you? I havent seen you since I moved away from America in middle school!" He smiled softly, recalling those days.
You blushed, realizing what position the both of you were in, as did he. He swiftly placed you up on your feet and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Would you like to catch up over some ramen?" Your crush asked, obviously wanting to spend more time with you. You nodded and walked with him to the nearest ramen shop.
You two sat in there, telling each other about what happened after Kiku moved. It was hard for him to leave his home in America, because of all the wonderful friends he left behind. You tolf him about your job as an owner of a very popular Japanese cuisine restaurant and how you were here to learn more about their food and culture. He was very intrigued. He told you about how he worked as the human personification of Japan, and you were shocked! It went on like this until closing time.
"How long are you going to be in Japan ______-chan?" He asked, his voice sounded a bit depressed.
"Only two more days... I was going to move over here,  but I dont have the money for it..." You sighed, not wanting to leave Kiku. He groaned and started walking you to your hotel.
"Well, would you like me to show you around tomorrow? I mean, If it isnt an inconvenience for you" He asked, face flushing a deep shade of pink. You took hold of his hand, he blushed deeper.
"I would very much like that Kiku!" You smiled and gave him a quick hug before disappearing into your hotel room.
The next day you spent with Kiku, exploring the culture and shopping ALOT. He showed you lots of tourist attractions as well as some places with sentimental meaning to him. Kiku made you try alot of different food that you could only find in Japan, and played games as well.
As evening was approaching, he took you to his favourite park and you two sat on the top of a hill, under a sakura tree watching the sunset. He stared at you as you looked at the sunset. Why does she have to be so cute? Kiku thought as he stared at you. You felt like you were being watched, so you turned your head to look at Kiku and your (e/c) eyes met his chocolate brown ones. His face turned red, and he reached for something behind him.

"___-______, are you cold?" He asked, noticing you shivering. You nodded and he took off his jacket, draping it over your shoulders as he put an arm around you. You leaned into his warm embrace and tried your best not to squeal. You looked up at him, then snuggled your face into his chest, trying to stay warm. You had been so comfortable, you drifted off to sleep.
Kiku stared at you asleep. 'So cute!!' He carefully picked you up and started to walk to your hotel, him still carrying you. He looked through your purse for your hotel room key. When he found it, he opened the door and gently placed you between the covers of your bed. He tucked you in then kissed your forehead and whispered "Goodnight ______. I love you..." With that finally said, he left you a note explaining what happened, then he left the room, heading home.
You woke up in your hotel room. 'How did I get here?' You were still wearing Kiku's Jacket, which made you blush, recalling the park. You wondered as you checked the clock, noticing a small slip of paper sitting in front of it. You curiously grabbed the paper, it read:
"Dear _______-chan,
You fell asleep when we were at the park. I didnt want to wake you, so I just brought you back to your hotel room. I hope that was alright. I put all of your shopping bags near your suitcase. I will come over around 10:00 am to help you take your things to the airport.
You smiled reading the note. He carried you home!! You felt really bad that he had to do that, but it was really sweet of him! You looked over at the clock that read 9:49 am. Shoot. You quickly got a shower, got dressed and finished packing when you heard a soft knock at your door.
"Come in!" you yelled, zipping up your suitcase.
"Are you ready to go ________-chan?" He asked, strolling in, holding a white paper bag.
"Y-Yeah. What in the bag Kiku?" You asked, stomach growling at the sweet smell. He smiled as he handed you the bag. You looked inside the bag and smiled. Taiyaki. You grabbed one and handed it to Kiku. He smiled as you both ate them with glee and headed towards Kiku's car.
When you arrived at the airport, you checked your luggage in and returned to Kiku. He stared at you with sad eyes.
"_-____-chan, I cant believe we're being separated again" He said, tears clouding his dark eyes.
"Please dont cry Kiku, I will see you again! I promise!" You tried to be strong and smiled, but quickly tears sparkled in your (e/c) eyes, spilling down your cheeks. Kiku gave you a big hug and you openly weeped into his jacket.
"_______-chan, I have to tell you something," He said, seriously. You looked up at him curiously. "I-I Love you ______. I have since I lived in America. It broke my heart to leave you, and now I dont want to let you go again. I mean it wasn-" You cut his rambling off by pressing your lips against his, ignoring the 'awwws' coming from the small crowd behind you two. You two stayed like that until you heard the overhead speaker announcing that your flight was boarding. He pulled away, a bittersweet smile on his face. You smiled back at him as he pulled out a small photo album and a large mochi plush and handed them to you.
"Keep in contact with me okay Kiku? Maybe one day, you can come visit me!" You chirped, trying not to start crying again. He smiled and kissed your cheek.
"I will! Hopefully sometime soon too!" He let you go and watched you leave for your flight, taking his heart with you. It broke both of your hearts that it had to end that way, but you will see each other. you were both sure of it.
Youre restaurant had become alot more popular since your trip to Japan, Bringing home new recipes and food for it. You were now running a five star Japanese restaurant, thanks to Kiku. You two had been constantly emailing each other a couple of times a day, but recently he sent you none. It made you very sad. 'Maybe he moved on...' Your eyes started to water as one of your employees walked into your office.
"Miss ______? Someone in the dining area requests to see you" You sighed and got up to follow the waiter to the dining area. After being led through a maze of tables and being constantly thanked, you finally reached the table and froze. At the table sat a man with short black hair and dark brown eyes, smiling brightly.
Haha, Just a quick story I came up with ^^"

All the villagers kept their distance from you. It was a well-known fact that you came from a family of great witches. For that they respected you and for that they kept their distance. They didn't just respect you, they feared you. And to some extent, they hated you.
Your kind were the monsters the villains in the stories parents told their children to scare them into obedience.
After buying your groceries you walked home.
"Mother," you called into the house, "I'm home."
A middle aged woman with (mother's hair color) hair and (mother's eye color) eyes came out from the kitchen "Oh __________, thank you." She took your groceries from you. "Your father has a surprise for you in his study."
"Shall I see him now?"
"I should think, don't think about dinner, I'll do it myself," she smiled and patted you on the back, "I think you're going to like it."
You knocked on the door of your father's study.
"Come it __________," said your father.
"Father, mother told me you wished to see me."
He smiled, "I did, and I have a surprise for you. Mr. Braginski you may come in now." Out came a man with blonde hair and violet eyes
You shivered, he was quite intimidating.
"Mr. Braginski has made an offer of marriage, and I have accepted his offer."
Those words made your stomach drop. Him? Surly your father didn't expect you to marry him. "F-father…"
Your father tilted his head to the side, "Are you not pleased?"
You turned to Mr. Braginski, "Mr. Bragin-."
"Ivan," the man smiled at you, "you should call me by my name. We are to be married, da?"
Giving your best smile you said, "Ivan, do you mind if I talk to my father alone for a few minutes?"
"No problem."
After the door was closed you turned to your father, "How could you. And to-to him?"
Your father frowned, quite confused, "What's wrong with Ivan?"
"He's, he's just…I don't love him!"
Your father sighed, "__________, your biological clock is ticking. What do you expect? You need to get married soon."
"Father if you do not call off the engagement I swear I will…I'll."
"You'll what?"
Frantically you searched for a good threat, but instead came up with an idea, "Father. If you give me, oh, one year to find another husband will you let me marry him instead?"
Your father thought for a moment, "Hmm, I agree. And if you don't?"
Sighing you said, "I'll marry Mr. Braginski. But you have to let me leave the village!"

~time skip cause I'm lazy~

Everything here was strange and new. People didn't shun you; people didn't look at you with disgust or fear. They were kind, especially to a new comer.
Being caught up in all the happiness you didn't notice when you bumped into someone. "Ahhh!" you fell squarely on you bum. "Oh, I'm so sorry," you said looking to the man you had just knocked down.
"No, no it was my…faurt," said the man. The moment the two of you looked into each other's eyes it was as if it were only the two of you. He stood up and helped you up. "What's your name?" He said in a state of awe.
"__________," you whispered in the same state, "what's yours?"
"Kiku Honda," he said still holding your hand. When he noticed he was still holding your hand he quickly let go, "Sorry." His face then turned very red.
"It's ok," you said blushing slightly.

~another time skip cause I'm lazy~
11 Months and 2 weeks later…

From that moment the two of you became good friends. Then he started to court you. It was very sweet; he would bring you flowers and write you poetry.
However you knew your time was running out, if he could only propose to you soon then everything would be perfect.
Ordering your broom, dustpan, and mop to clean the house while you went shopping you smiled. Today you were planning on telling him you were a witch; either it would go very well or very bad. You were hoping for the first. That he would accept you and not shun you.
"Kiku," you said pouring tea, "you've been courting me for a while right?"
He nodded in usual silent way.
You sighed, "Kiku, do you love me?"
There was a long moment of silence as his face turned quite red, "W-what are you doing asking me such a question?"
"It's a perfectly reasonable question," you said pouting. "It's a yes or no answer."
"Yes," he said quietly, "_________, I do rove you."
You smiled, "Kiku, what would you say if I told you I wasn't necessarily human?"
He turned to face you, "Oh I know."
"Y-you what?"
"You're a witch right?"
Kiku looked thoughtful, "Was I wrong?"
Kiku then went to explain how he caught you ordering the ingredients to make dinner one night and they obeyed you and another night when he saw your cleaning instruments doing the work themselves.
You looked at your hands, "Do you hate me?"
"No, no ______________, why wourd you think that?"
"B-because I…" you trailed off.
"I stir rove you _________," said Kiku giving you a rare smile. "_____________, I want you to marry me."
"W-what?" After a moment it processed in your mind you jumped into his arms shouting, "YES!"
And with that you lived happily ever after…

You were under your favourite sakura tree, writing whatever your mind was telling you right now. You were busy reminiscing when you saw a man staring at you for a moment. It was Kiku Honda. You met him before, and oh...he's blushing.

"(Name), whateever a young lady is doing out here all by herself?" he

"Oh, I was just—" you looked at your writing. Well, it's kinda private for him to talk about it. He doesn't seem interested in those things you were. But why is he here?

You saw he's blushing with your own very eyes. He comes closer and blushes even more as he goes closer to you.

The sakura kept falling and the silence grew awkward between them. Breeze slips past through their skin as they feel eachother's warmth as close as they could touch.

"Are you composing a novel?" started Kiku.

"A novel?" you faced him. "Um—no, just maybe a short story?"

"Did you finish it?" he asked ever so politely.

"I—" you shrugged. "I can't make out the last scene." You smiled.

"And whatever that last scene is, may I see?"

"S—sure." You hesitate to give the paper to him. You looked away, a bit embarassed of what would his reaction would be.

"I find it interesting, (Name)."

"Really?" you scooted a little closer for you to peek at your paper. "It's not that cheesy, is it?"

He bowed and somewhat lost at the thought of something. "(Name), do you know how would it end?"

You shook your head.

"There's  a thought in my mind that would help you," he blushed again. "would you allow me to do it?"

He gave you a warm smile and continued;

"In the shadow of the cherry blossom
complete strangers
there are none…"

Suddenly, as if magically, sheets of rain started to pull…
You gasped as the chill weather ambushing your skin but with Kiku it doesn't matter he resumed;

"A sheet of rain.
Only one man remains among
cherry blossom shadows

A flowering plum
and a nightingale's love song
he remains alone

A world of trials,
and if the cherry blossoms,
it simply blossoms

"It's very beautiful…" you were very mesmerized by his magnificent haikus. All those he said was utterly true.

"And the man would say 'It's all for you..'. under these shade the man confesses his love…'I love you.' (Name), and then he will lean closer and will touch his lips with hers…"

As the cherry blossom falls you know how it feels as it wither, giving lightness deep inside your soul…

You closed your eyes and waited…
"'To kiss all I ever wanted…'"

Even before you can move or were captured by that one moment...that one sweet moment…

This is for :iconluckystarxgurl: HOPE YOU LIKE IT~!!! :) :D

HetaliaxReader-Lost my book-Japan has it!

You were stunned to see Kiku Honda (a.k.a Japan) walking in your direction, with your diary in his grasp. You never thought he`d give it to you in person. He`d most likely give it to America or Italy to give back to you. But there he was, flesh and blood standing in front of you holding your diar in front of you.
`Here (your name)-san.` he replied, placing the diary softly in your hands, then taking a step back to keep his personal space.
`Why thank you Kiku!` you gushed, seeing as it was so thoughtful of him. `Would you like to come to my house for some tea?`
`Why...(your name)..I was about to ask you the same my garden.` he said, looking at you a little shyly.
You smiled at the thought of him now inviting you to go with him.
`Of course Kiku, I would love to!` you say, before walking next to him down the street.

------------------------Kiku`s garden--------------------------------

You were amazed at what you saw. The garden was huge. There was a small bridge that went across into a bigger section, with a little island in the middle surrounded by water. A little pond filled with beautiful fish, along with water lillies and lotus flowers. The sakura tree`s were beautiful aswell. Kiku summoned you to follow him, and you did so-walking across the bridge and through a small little tunnel.
`This is wonderful Kiku!` you exclaimed. He seemed not to hear you, and said nothing. When you finally found your destination, there was a small table with two cups filled with steaming tea.
`How come this is already made?` you asked curiously. Kiku offered you to sit.
He then placed a little cookie on the side plate of your tea cup.
`I had a feerwing you wourd be coming here (your name)-san.`he said before drinking some tea from his cup.
He only nodded. You took a bite of the cookie he gave you. Instantly, you felt relaxed. Almost like falling asleep. You looked at Kiku and sighed.
`Your so handsome, ya know that.` you blurted out without even caring. Kiku blushed a little, and gave a slight smile.
`Why..thank you (your name)-san.`
You giggled a little and bit into the cookie again.
`What`s in this...?` you asked, a little amused.
`Just an old recipie.` Kiku replied. You took your cup and drank the rest of it as fast as you could.
He looked away from the garden and back to you. You didn`t know if it was the cookie..or just your hormones taking over.
`Come here.`
You quickly got up, and sat next to him, slowly leaning into him.
`Uhh..uh...(your name)-san...w-what..are you doing?`
`Like I said...` you laughed. `Whats in those cookies?`
He smiled a little before shoving another cookie in your mouth.
`Sugar.` he said. `lots of it.`
You ate the rest, then stared at him in silence. He just sat there drinking his tea without a care in the world.
`(You name)-san.`
`Stop staring at me..`

********************The Next Day*************

You felt absolutely stupid. Making poor Kiku feel awkward, and emberassing yourself in front of him, made you feel like your world was going to fall.
`I shouldn`t have done that.` you thought. `why? why am I so stupid?`
`(your name)-san!`
It was Japan at the door. Probably coming to say that he never wants to see you again. Or never want you over again. When you opened the door, he stood there with a box of those cookies he made.
`These are for you (your name)-san.` he said handing them to you.
`Kiku...where did you find my book?`
He blushed a little.
`Werr..I haven`t been compretery honest with you (your name).`
Your eyes widened a little.
`Oh really?`
Kiku dropped his head in shame.
`I like you (your name)-san...I thought maybe you did too..I took the book in order to give it you so we could spend some more time together.`
You smiled at his kind way of showing he was interested.
`That`s okay Kiku!` you smiled, and hugged him-forgetting about his personal space.
At first, he shurddered, then shook a little, then started to hug you back. At least he didn`t push you down like he did with Italy.
`Werr (your name)-san?` he asked. You kissed his nose.
`You should have another cookie.`
Ooomaiigosh japan *o* :iconsexyjapanplz: and your cookies

Chrysanthemum Tea

The sun glowed gently in the clear blue sky, its rays peeking through the leaves of lush trees in a beautifully manicured garden. Summer had ended, yet the remnants of its warmth still lingered in the air.

You opened your window and immediately a gentle breeze flowed in, carrying with it the sweet scent of autumn flowers blossoming in your garden. You smiled and closed your eyes for a moment, enjoying the aroma and the soft wind on your skin.

"Oh my, I better start preparing now," you mumbled silently to yourself.

You reached for the apron and tied it loosely around your waist. You then proceeded to gather various cooking utensils and ingredients and arranged them neatly on a large wooden table in the middle of your kitchen. Even though you were not a professional chef, from your extensive experience in the kitchen, you knew that mise en place was key to successful cooking.

And today of all days, you hoped to get everything right, since you were inviting your closest friends over to your home for the first time. The four of you were going to have a little tea party. Your lips turned into a smile as you remembered how it all started.

-- Flashback --

The first time you met, or more specifically, saw Arthur, Kiku, and Yao was at the world conference. You were just a small country so you didn't dare talk to them. Throughout the meeting, you only listened to the big countries speaking and watched in amusement as they started to get rowdy.

After the conference concluded (without any real results), you decided to stop by a tea house you had passed on your way to the meeting venue. This particular place caught your attention because among the many cafés in the area, this shop actually called itself a 'tea house'. You, being an avid tea drinker, was instantly tempted to try it out.

A friendly waiter greeted you and ushered you in as you arrived at the establishment.

"The weather is very nice today. Would you like to sit outside in the garden Miss?" the waiter offered.

"Oh yes, I'd really like that," you followed him towards the back of the tea house into the outdoor seating area.

"It's very lovely," you looked around, admiring your surroundings.

The garden featured a small fountain at the center of it, surrounded by colorful spring-time flowers. Neatly trimmed hedgerows formed a natural barrier that separated the area from the adjoining street, giving the guests a feeling of calmness and privacy.

The waiter smiled and pulled a chair out for you.
"Please let me know when you are ready to order Miss," he handed you the menu and excused himself to serve another customer.

You started flipping through the menu and was delighted to find a vast array of high quality tea from around the world, as well as a selection of sandwiches and pastries that would surely go well with tea.

As you were musing on what to order, you heard a familiar voice with thick British accent calling out to you, "Hello there, aren't you Miss ________ ?"

You looked up and saw a group of men walking towards you. You immediately recognized them as the elite members of the world conference committee, Arthur Kirkland, Kiku Honda, and Yao Wang.

"Oh hello Mr. Kirkland, Mr. Honda, and Mr. Wang," you greeted them politely.

"Fancy meeting you here Miss _________ . Would you mind if we join you?" Arthur smiled.

"Not at all, please have a seat," you were quite surprised that big nations of their caliber knew your name and even wanted to sit with you.

"S-so, what brings you gentlemen here?" you asked, starting to feel a little nervous.

"The tea of course!", Yao answered enthusiastically, "You see, the three of us are tea aficionados."

"Ah, so do I," you said happily.

"Really? It is great to know another person that enjoys tea," Kiku said.

You turned your head to the Japanese man, "Yes, most people these days like coffee but I myself have always preferred tea."

"Well said, Miss ________," Arthur nodded in approval.

After that the four of you found yourselves engaged in a lively discussion about tea, literature, art, and many other subjects. That one meeting had gradually turned into a wonderful friendship that brought you closer to the three tea-loving nations. From then on, the four of you would regularly meet and enjoy interesting conversations over a nice cup of tea.

-- End Flashback --

You snapped out of your daydream. There was no time to waste! You had to make some snacks to compliment the tea. You hurriedly started mixing the ingredients to make manjū, a Japanese confection Kiku had taught you to make.

Ah, Kiku...a blush started to crawl up your cheeks. You had been close friends with the Japanese man for a while now. You had even called each other by your first names, which was a huge deal since he was a very formal man. You had always admired and respected him, but lately a new and foreign feeling had emerged whenever you saw him. When he wasn't around, you caught yourself thinking about him and when you were asleep, his images invaded your dreams.

Half an hour later, you finished all initial preparations for the small tea party. You glanced at the clock; it was four in the afternoon. 'They should be here anytime now,' you thought. Just as you predicted, the doorbell rang only seconds later. You took your apron off and smoothed you hair with your fingers, stopping in front of the mirror hanging in the hallway to make sure you looked okay.

You opened the large wooden front door, revealing all three of your friends.
"Hi guys! Please come in," you smiled.
They greeted you back as they stepped into the house.

You lead your guests out the back door to a white gazebo in the middle of your garden. In it was a round frosted glass table, surrounded by brown wicker chairs with fluffy white cushions. It was the perfect weather to be outside, warm but not too hot. The air was filled with the delicate aroma of blooming flowers.

"Please wait here a moment, I'll get the tea," you started to walk back towards the house.

"I'll come with you," Yao stood up and followed you.

"Thanks Yao, that'd be a great help."

Back in the kitchen, you poured boiling water into the teapot you had prepared before. Yao took out piping hot manjū buns from the bamboo steamer and arranged it on a large plate.

"Thanks again for telling me about this tea, Yao," you said.

"My pleasure," he beamed, "I haven't had it for quite a while too, so I'm really looking forward to this day."

Moments later you both got back to the garden, carrying trays of refreshments for the day. It was a good thing Yao came along to help you, otherwise you would need to make more than one trip to the kitchen.

Arthur and Kiku watched the transparent teapot in awe as you set it down on the table. Inside the clear glass were submerged white and yellow chrysanthemum flowers that slightly bobbed and brushed with each other before the liquid finally settled. From the outside, the teapot looked like a small aquarium filled with flowers.

"How beautiful, what kind of tea is this?" Arthur asked.

"This is chrysanthemum tea. I made it using the flowers from this garden," you replied.

You started pouring tea for your friends, releasing its fragrant steam into the air. Once everyone had been served, you picked up your cup, savoring the floral scent before sipping the herbal tea.

"Ahhh... This is really good," Yao sighed in contentment, followed by Arthur and Kiku.

"Yes, this is the first time I tasted this delicate sweetness," Arthur said.

"It's from the rock sugar I added to the tea," you explained.

"Ah, that is a very nice touch, ________," Kiku commented.

"Thank you," you blushed.

"And what's this?" Arthur asked, taking a rabbit shaped bun from the black lacquered dish in the middle of the table.

"Ah, that must be manjū," Kiku answered for you.

"It looks so cute, reminds me of flying mint bunny."

You all raised an eyebrow at this but didn't say anything. Arthur had been known for quirks such as these and it was easier to let it slide.

You cleared your throat and said, "That one has pumpkin filling, Arthur."

"And this one has red bean filling," you pointed at a heart-shaped bun.

Initially, you had meant to make the buns into a peach shape, but your subconscious must had taken over. By the time you realized it, there was no time left to change them.

"Ah, that is my favorite," Kiku leaned over and took a red bean manjū.

Yao stared at you with a mischievous grin on his face, "Heart-shaped buns for the red bean-filled ones, eh?"

"I-I was just trying to be creative," you stuttered, a light pink dusting your cheeks.

Kiku didn't seem to catch Yao's implied comment and happily munched on the bun.

"Wow, these are really tasty, ________. Did you make them yourself?" Kiku reached for another manjū.

"Yes, I followed the recipe you gave me."

"Yamato nadeshiko..." he whispered quietly.

But Arthur caught his words, "Huh? Yamato nadeshiko? What's that?" he looked at Kiku.

"E-Eh, it's nothing, Arthur-san."

"What? Come on, tell us."

Now everyone was looking at Kiku who started to fidget slightly in his seat.

"I-it means an ideal feminine woman in Japanese culture," he blushed.

"Oooooh, so you think ________ is your ideal woman?" Arthur wiggled his bushy eyebrows suggestively.

"E-ehhh.. N-no.. I mean yes.. Ah, b-but I meant in general..." Poor Kiku, he was now at a lost for words, his face taking on a deeper shade of red.

"Arthur, stop joking around please," you said as you felt your own face heating up.

Arthur and Yao seemed to be enjoying this and started to chuckle.

"A-anyway, how about we go for a walk?" you offered, "There is this place I want to show you while you're here."

"Oh, I'm very sorry ________, but Arthur and I have that... thing we have to do," Yao smirked, "Right Arthur?"

"Huh? Wha... Oh right, that thing," Arthur said with a glint in his emerald eyes.

"Kiku, you should stay and accompany ________," he added.

"E-eh, b-but..."

"No buts," Yao cut him off and started to get up from his chair, which prompted everyone else to do the same.

"Are you sure you can't come with us?" you asked, a bit disappointed that two of your friends were leaving so soon, but also somewhat happy at the prospect of spending some time alone with your crush.

"Sorry ________, we'll make sure to go with you next time," Arthur promised.

The four of you briskly made your way to the main entrance. As they were about to leave, you yelped and lightly smacked your own forehead.

"Wait! There's something I want to give you," with that you rushed back to the kitchen and retrieved two paper bags you had prepared earlier.

As you were walking back to the group, you heard some laughter echoing from the foyer. When you got there, you saw a red-faced Kiku with Yao's hand on his right shoulder, as if he was giving Kiku some encouragement. Arthur and Yao were laughing like mad.

"Hmmm? What are you guys laughing about?" you asked, handing them each a bag.

"Oh, it's nothing really. What's this?" your Chinese friend replied.

"It's some dried chrysanthemums and manjū. Please enjoy them with your family at home," you smiled.

They both thanked you and said goodbye, leaving you and Kiku alone with each other.
Suddenly, you felt your heart starting to race and you had butterflies dancing in your stomach.

"S-so, ________, shall we go?" Kiku took the initiative to break the silence.

"Yes," you nodded.

Your house stood near a hill and behind it, there was a clearing filled with wild flowers. A small road, paved with cobble stones, stretched across the field and gently hiked to the top of the hill. You and Kiku walked side by side in the field, chatting merrily and stopping from time to time to admire nature's beauty. Your nervousness from before had vanished and you were feeling comfortable and light. You grew excited as you neared the top of the hill and broke into a small run.

"Come on Kiku, hurry," you giggled.

"Ah, please be careful, ________."

You finally reached the hill top with Kiku not far behind. He gasped in amazement when he saw the view. Below the hill lay your bustling hometown, with houses and buildings that looked like miniatures from this height, and beyond that you could see the sea curving inward towards the land. You got there just in time as the sun was beginning to set, dipping slowly into the sea. The glowing orb colored the sky with soft patches of pink, orange, and purple.

"Beautiful," Kiku murmured.

You turned to look at him, curious to see his expression, and found that he wasn't looking at the sunset, but at you. His deep brown eyes gazing directly into yours. You expected him to look away, like he had always done whenever your eyes met. But he didn't, and somehow you couldn't seem to avert your eyes from his either. He slowly stepped closer to you, his eyes filled with adoration and determination, and took your hands in his.

"________, there is something I have been meaning to tell you," he said softly.

"Y-yes Kiku?" your heart was pounding wildly inside your chest.

"I... I am in love with you, ________."

You couldn't believe your ears. If this was a dream, you didn't want to wake up.
But the sensation of Kiku's hands gently squeezing yours convinced you that it was real; you were not dreaming.

"I love you too, Kiku," you answered, feeling warm and giddy with happiness.

He smiled brightly and wrapped one arm around your waist. The other reached up to cup your cheek, pulling you into a gentle kiss. Your eyes fluttered close as your lips touched his, your body melting into his warm embrace. He smelled like chrysanthemums in full bloom and tasted even more exquisite than the herbal tea you had earlier.

"You've made me the happiest girl in the world," you said when the kiss ended.

The both of you stayed on the hill top a while longer, enjoying the sunset, your arms wrapped around each other.

"And you have made me the luckiest man in the world," he said lovingly, "For once, Arthur-san and Yao-san actually gave me a good advice."

"Oh yes, they were laughing about something when I got back from the kitchen. What did they say to you?"

"They said I should man up and make a move," he said as he leaned down to steal another kiss.
Author's Notes:

  • Mise en place is a French phrase meaning "everything in place". It is used in professional kitchens to refer to organizing and arranging the ingredients and equipments required to prepare a recipe.

  • Manjū is a traditional Japanese confection, usually the dough is made from flour and filled with red bean paste. But you can fill them with anything you like really, and you can also make it into various shapes.

I was having some chrysanthemum tea the other day and Kiku popped up in my head. Kiku means chrysanthemum in Japanese (I think everyone already knows this though). For the other characters, I picked the countries who are known to love tea. China is where tea originated in and England is obviously a teaholic.

Anyways... I hope you enjoy this story. I'd love to hear what you think about it.
And also, this is actually my first time writing a reader insert, so... please be gentle with me *blushes*
