Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.
'Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you ?
Have you always turned the other cheek ?
To My Church have you been true?'
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
'No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you d
2D + 3D CommissionsHello, you arrived at my Commisions page2D + 3D Commissions3 years ago in Personal More Like This
If you are interested in getting a CGI image created for you, please continue to the section you are interested in. There are three sections:
2D section covers all kind of colored, shaded images, preferably drawn with outlines.
3D works is about polygonal objects of all kinds, textured and with some post-processing for nice looks.
Vector images refer to things drawn with hard lines and occasional shading, such as blueprints and ink-like drawings.
I do all kinds of art and I'm opened to different styles (vector drawings of a Star Wars ship, 3D render of a Stargate vehicle, blueprint for a Dune tank and of course every kind of original universe objects and scenes) so don't be afraid to ask for anything that you can think of.
You can also check examples of my commisioned work and private gallery works on the bottom of this entry.
I am looking forward to working with you and seeing a happy finish
Please note that preferably I acc
MLeth's Thoughts - We Are CopiesI've been meaning to touch upon this subject a while now so here we go!MLeth's Thoughts - We Are Copies3 years ago in Personal More Like This
How do we become who we are? How we speak, how we behave with certain people or how we paint?
By observing others of course - Wether it be friends, family or the people on TV - We always pick up on things that we like and subconsiously try to emulate it.
A fine example is how you easily pick up new accents wherever you go. We adapt.
The same goes for art in the sense that you rarely draw your own style - Especially when it comes to the cartoon or manga style. Like me! I started drawing manga based on what I'd seen in animes and manga books. The past couple of years I've been trying really hard to find a style that I can call my own though, but in the end it will be a mix between other styles. Of course, this is not what bothers me, because picking up on other peoples styles and techniques is what makes you grow as an artist.
No, what bothers and makes me sad, is when people aim to completely recreate another person
Our superficial societyLet me begin with a short anecdote:Our superficial society3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I was in a hotel room with friends, on the last day of what had been, until then, an amazing holiday. Much like this journal, the topic of conversation quickly turned to girls and relationships.
We somehow began talking about bases, and to which one each of us had gotten. For those who have yet to come across the term, it's a baseball analogy where 'first base' is kissing, followed by progressively more intimate actions, and there are no prizes for guessing what 'a home run' signifies. I announced, with neither pride nor shame, that I have yet to reach first base at the ripe age of 17; this was received with a mixture of shock and pity, which baffles me. One then went on to say that he should set me up with one of his female friends, which I outright dismissed.
The story gets mildly more interesting here. Fast forward a few hours: after having visited the bar, we return to the hotel room, with one of my friends managing to get himself incredibly drun

The Pearl Harbor Attack, 7 December 1941Yesterday, 7 December 1941-a date which will live in infamy-the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan. The Pearl Harbor Attack, 7 December 19413 years ago in Personal More Like This
The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its Government and its Emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific. Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu, the Japanese Ambassador to the United States and his colleague delivered to the Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.
It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time the Japanese Government had deliberately sought to deceive the United States
D-Day + 70 Years 3 Days 70 years ago. 1944. Allied forces, comprising mostly of American, British and Canadian troops, but also French, Norwegian, Belgian, Australian, Czech, Greek, Dutch, New Zealand, and Polish troops successfully landed and established a beachhead on Normandy, France, paving the way for the liberation of Europe and the downfall of the Third Reich.D-Day + 70 Years 3 Days11 months ago in Personal More Like This
While we must never forget the courage and sacrifice of the men on the beach that day and the days to follow, nor the men who planned and led the operation that would make history, we must not overlook the others as well who did their part on those momentous days leading up to and after D-Day:
The men and women behind Operation Bodyguard and Fortitude, who helped deceive and mislead the Axis of the landing plans and operation.
The pilots and aircrew who cleared the sky so the men on the ground would have no reason to fear looking up, while giving the enemy plenty of reason to stay down.
The meteorologists who provided the foreca

The Tragedy in ColoradoBeing a member of the NRA and a strong supporter of the second amendment(My father first took me shooting when I was 5). I feel I need to say something about the tragedy in Colorado. The Tragedy in Colorado3 years ago in Personal More Like This
If you didn't know, someone walked into a Colorado movie theater before the showing of The Dark Knight Rises and opened fire on the crowd. He was insane and I believe he turned himself in afterwards.
This tragedy is going to spark a huge amount of criticism on US gun laws and President Obama has already called a emergency meeting on the situation. He's probably going to use this incident and promise for "Better gun laws" if he is re-elected, because that's how sad and pathetic politics are. The horrifying incident in Colorado, if anything, should show people that we need to start conceal carrying everywhere they go. If there had been anyone in the crowd that legally conceal carrying a handgun, they could of saved lives.
I live in New Mexico, in this state, we are extremely lenient about gun laws. You can e

Fighting against those that will kill
That will steal
That would terrorize us all....
Below the humble worm
They dare to take away
What we hold dear
To strip us to our fear
They know no right
They only enact wrong
But we still sing our freedom song
Despite our flaws and our own humanity
Regardless of our own self we ascend
At least to positivity
and not give in to anarchistic negativity
And of all else
Our peace will concur so long as we stand true.

President Obama's ReelectionWell, I have to say, it looked like Mitt Romney was going to win at first. But then, it all went down to President Barack Obama winning both the popular and electoral voices.President Obama's Reelection2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It's no shame to vote for the losing party. I feel proud to have voted my first national election.
At least Romney managed to beat the President at the first debate, which was the same date as the latter's anniversary. Imagine that.
To ClarifyA popular misconception toward me and many like minded people who have a love of fire arms and sharp objects is that we like to kill or enjoy war or are violent people just because our hobbies, likes and interests revolve around implements designed to kill but more so these weapons are designed to defend and protect, which me and like minded people would do without a second thought for them self's,Their families and friends and land.I don't like guns because they kill,I like guns because they are interesting mechanically, aesthetically and historically plus they are pretty damn cool.Because I have access to weapons and a knowledge of them that I am going to shoot up a school or murder someone?,I think not and that goes for most people as well if they are educated properly. To Clarify3 years ago in Personal More Like This

About that STALKER fanfic, l'm gonna change the general subject: Stories told by Stalkers all over Zone. Sounds better I think. But yeah, each one will have different narrative and different tale and stuffs. I'm trying to decide on the total number of episodes though. 10 sounded kinda good to me, what do you think?
Also, I'm trying to get inspired mostly by music bands I listen to and I listen to like, five bands so it might take a bit to write this shit up.
Still trying to draw shit and failing. This means I am officially out of inspiration, and it'll take a while to restore it. Meanwhile I should try PMG'ing and MS Paint'ing.
Nothing much else I can think of, so later, bitch.

Competition: Design a Sniper rifle for the US ArmyIn this competition you will be designing a sniper rifle to replace the M24 rifle currently being used by the US Army. Remington has already developed an XM2010, but lets see if you can create something better.Competition: Design a Sniper rifle for the US Army3 years ago in Personal More Like This
You can read about the M24 here on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M24_Sniper_Weapon_System
It fires a 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge (.308 civilian) and is bolt action.
Some things to think about:
-It must have improvements over the old design
-It must be functional in all different types of terrain and environment
-It must be chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO
-You can submit multiple entries
-You can only use PMG, you cannot tweak designs in photoshop, mspaint or anything
Entries will be due by next Saturday at Midnight. Please submit all entries to Sniper Rifle Entries folder.
Good luck PMGFC members, have a good'n.

(Although I have to say that being sick as a dog is not quite as pleasant as the Phyrexian scriptures suggest. I hope you're all sufficiently evolved and compleated and stay hale and hearty! )
Now we wish to know: What has lured you to our group and what do you want to see?
Was it the philosophy and glory of Phyrexia and its ineffable lord?
Are you intrigued by the gruesome perfection of flesh mingled with machinery, regardless of the setting?
Are you a simple admirer of ‘dark’ art in general (and possibly do not particularly care about background)?
Make yourself heard!
