Scars ch. 1 Yep. I am writing my new series. Thanks to my friend's help, this series started and I give her credit for stepping out of her comfort zone for me. I LOVE HER.Scars ch. 13 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
So on with the chapter.
I should have known that when I met them, they would change my life. Of course, I wasn't any other kid so I had to introduce myself to them. Everybody else walked away.
I go to a school. You could say this school isn't very normal. Why? Oh, only because we're a school full of psychotic kids who have bad backgrounds.
New kids were coming to school and I was a little surprised to find that the two new girls were totally different. My friend, Ben, and I walked up to them and said hello.
The one girl had long, curly, carmel hair. She had green eyes with specks of brown in them. She was skinny, but, surprisingly, not bone-skinny. Her tank-top was a little loose and her shorts were really short. She had a nice figure and was short compared to Ben, the other girl, and me.
The second gi

"Honestly, we have next to nothing to work with these days." He murmured, grasping the girl's chin and pulling it upwards so he could look more clearly into her face. "Brown eyes, brown hair... too commonplace. What I wouldn't give for a honest-to-God natural blonde or a redhead. Everyone's getting sick of all the dyed products we've had to make. Ugh. Well, give this one some blue eyes. Keep the freckles; maybe they'll add something more natural to her."
The young man, eighteen at most, who had brought the girl into the room, nodded. He gently lifted the slender figure off the ground- the girl's head lolling against his shoulder as he did so- and to her feet, wrapping an arm around her waist to support her.
"Jude, I have too many appointments today to watch you take your time with this. Drag it if you must, but hurry."
Jude nodded again, keeping his head down so the good Doctor wouldn't see th

Blaire crossed her arms and shook her head stubbornly at him. She'd been humiliated enough by this stupid "lesson" that he'd insisted on having.
"Fine. How about a deal? You try again, and I'll tell you where I got this scar." Prosper said, pointing to his eyebrow and holding out the soccer ball with his other hand. Blaire bit her lip. She was sick of looking like an idiot...but she really wanted to know where that scar came from. She had asked him a million times already, but he would just grin at her and change the subject. She huffed irritably and blew her bangs out of her face.
"You'll really tell me?" She asked finally.
"No... but I'll give you a clue." He said, smirking at her in that infuriating way of his.
"Should've known." She muttered to herself. She sighed when she saw him still smirking at her, but they both knew she would give in, just as they both knew that Prosper's "clue" would proba

Blaire was sitting on bright yellow sled , bundled up in at least fifty layers, wearing the expression of a five year old recently given an ice cream cone. The sled, in turn, was poised at the top of a large, rather daunting looking hill, and Blaire was attempting to convince him to go sledding with her.Sleds, Snow, and Hot Chocolate5 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
"Pleeeeease!" She continued, adopting a pout onto her formerly excited face.
"I'm wearing sweatpants," He pointed out, "Cloth sweatpants."
"Oh, suck it up, you baby," Blaire countered, which impressed Prosper quite a bit, since it usually took a lot more for her to start insulting him.
"What, and walk two miles home in soaking wet britches?" He questioned, "I'll pass on that."
"Fine." She said, sulking, "then at least help me up." She held out a hand to him, which Prosper was a little reluctant to take, since Blaire relenting in so

"Not nervous about your date or anything are you?" she giggled.
"You have no idea! I was thinking about it, it's been 3 years since I've been on a date and 4 since I've had..."
"All right, I get it, your nervous. So, what are you wearing?" she asked.
"I have no idea! Nancy, you gotta help me! I'm about to start pulling my hair out here!" You said, pulling her into your bedroom.
"Calm down, ___. It's just Mathias. Cute, adorable, hunky, sexiest ass in the office, Mathias." You smirked.
"You're not helping." You glared. Again, she giggled.
"Sorry. All right, what were you thinking of wearing?" She asked, sitting on her bed.
"Hey mom, can I take this movie with me?" Your daughter asked as she entered your room.
"Hey, Alexis." Nancy smiled.
"Nancy!" she smiled and ran to give the woman a hug.
"Wow! Look how big you've gotten! What are you, like 18 now?" she smiled.

"Really? Really?" I complained. Teams for capture the flag were just decided and... well, basically it was everybody with some sort of godly war power against everybody else, including me. Thalia and and Annabeth were against me so I just thought about giving up right there.
"Really, Seaweed Brain." Thalia grinned and pranced off into the woods to her team, twirling an arrow in her right hand.
"Good luck." Annabeth patted my head and followed Thalia. I groaned and ran to the creek. If I was going down, might as well be near my only source of strength. Unless there were some blue cupcakes around the field...
When I got to the creek, it was already lined with people from the opposing team. I tried to act cool and walk away but Thalia shot an arrow right through my shirt sleeve, the force of the arrow was so strong that I ended up nailed to a boulder.

"Annabeth?" I say, as we lay on the beach, hands interlocked.
"Yeah?" She turns her head to look at me and the butterflies swarm in my stomach.
"Do you... think..? Nevermind. It's stupid." I kiss her forehead and squeeze her hand.
"What were you gonna say?" She nudges my arm, sitting up.
"It's not important." I smile, trying to reassure her. Of course, her being Annabeth, it doesn't work.
"You're lying, I know it. Seriously, Percy. What's on your mind?" She asks. I let a breath out and look at her.
"Annabeth, I told you, it's nothing."
"Percy, stop it!" She yells.
"No, listen to me. If you're going to lie to me, I'll leave right now." She threatens.
"Oh c'mon," I look at her with pleading eyes.
"Why won't you tell me what's bothering you?" She continues.
"It doesn't matter, so I'm not telling you," I explain. She doesn't believe me. I can tell by her eyes.
"Why are you doing this?" She yells. I look away for a second before looking back at her. "Are you afraid,

“So,” She started, “What happened?”
“How am I supposed to know.” I mumbled and quickened up my pace to avoid any further conversation with her. Successfully, we walked the rest of the way in silence. Thalia pranced past me right as I opened the door and slipped through before I could even get out of the way.
“Hey!” I groaned. I heard her laugh from inside.
Annabeth was laying on a bed with Thalia sitting cross legged at her feet. I pulled up a chair next to her and sat.
“You okay now?” I put my head on the bed.
“I’m fine now. Just felt a little nauseous.” She started running her fingers through my hair. I saw her start to open her mouth as if to say something but she immediately looked at Thalia and closed it. I raised my eyebrows. “You should probably go, Thalia.” She nudged her with her foot. It took 2 weeks for Annabeth to open her eyes. Another week to be able to move around and another 3 months before she was realeased from the hospital. I took the boys up there every day when she was able to hold them and feed them. Roo came up a couple times but I know that she doesnt have the best relationship with Annabeth at the moment.
I understand that too. Roo still believes that Annabeth left me. Roo told me that it hurt her to see me in the state I was those first 3 years without Annabeth, that she could remember. She knows that it was because Annabeth faked her death I was like that. Roo just knows too much for her own good. Having two girls with brains like Athena has been hurting my brain. Hopefully the boys take after me and dont have Athena in them. If they do I dont think I will be able to survive another 18 years of this.
Matt and Andy took my eyes. Just like Roo. I guess Annabeth is the only grey eyed person in our family. The boys got Anna

The next few days go by really quick and in a bit of a blur. Everything at camp is really hectic since I was attacked.
"Hey Percy, come help me over here?" Annabeth asks. She is the only one who acts at least a bit normal. It soothes me.
"Sure, what do you need?" I say. She points to the big pile of boxes that she obviously can't reach. I bend down and pick them up and they're pretty heavy. She smiles and kisses my cheek.
"So put them over there," She points to a corner, "And then you'll move some more boxes. Then, I'll reward you." She whispers near my ear and her breath against my neck makes me shiver a bit almost losing balance and dropping the boxes. But I don't and as a 'reward', she chastely kisses my neck before moving away and going over to her clipboard.
"Tease," I say. We'd only gone so far as first base. Yeah, pathetic I could save the world, but I can't do anything more than kiss my girlfriend.

I was freaking out. I had to make the best date for Annabeth. I had to look perfect it had to be perfect we had to be perfect.
I figured out what I would do for the date, first. I had some help and it would be ready by the time we got there.
I picked out what I would wear and set it on my bed so I could change right after dinner. I would shower first, of course. Everything would be perfect.
So after dinner I did just as planned. I took a quick shower and then got dressed.
By seven I was ready and I was already at her cabin. I knocked. Please answer, Annabeth. She answered!
"I see you're ready," She said, looking me up and down. I observed what she was wearing. We were DEFINITELY breaking rules. She had on a tank top and nice shorts. The tank top was a little low cut and showed off her beautiful body. She wasn't wearing makeup like always, and I loved that about her. Annabeth's hair was down and her curls bounced on her shoulders. She. Was. Beautiful.

Chapter 6 - Scorpius
Lorna would not leave me alone. I was sick of her. I had been since the Quidditch celebration. I cursed Firewhiskey for around the hundredth time.
Bloody hell. Really? God has no mercy. I ran through the corridors, jumping and spinning around third years who--as they always are since third year seems to be the cranky year for all wizards, as far as I've seen--whined and muttered perfectly and purposefully audible insults at me. I ignored them. This was a matter far too serious to take time to retort.
"Hey, Scorpius!" someone called.
"Shut up! Shut up!"
I slid around corners and almost tackled Rose on one.
"Shut up!" I covered her mouth with my hand and dragged her through the corridor, receiving suspicious looks on the way. I gasped and grinned. My refuge. I ran toward the broom cupboard with all of my energy. Rose licked my hand.
"Ulgh! Why'd you do that?"
"Scorpius, what the hell--"

"Not here," I had said. What I meant was "not now." I wasn't ready to have sex with Rose. Especially not in the storage closet of a joke shop. Absolutely not.
I took her hand and kissed her more, making sure she knew my resistance. She gave me a blank look for a moment, then smiled. I was glad we could understand each other almost telepathically. She kissed me again, quickly buttoning up my shirt. I smiled at her.
"So what now?" she asked. I shrugged, which made her laugh. "Okay, thanks for the help." She looked around the room, but her mind was somewhere else. "We should probably see where Albus is."
We left the store without buying anything, except for a Pygmy Puff that Rose stared at before we left. Happy Christmas, Rose.
She was thinking of names for him her it--when we ran into Albus.

A wet splash echoed in the twisting chamber each time one of Nemi's boots made contact with the dank water coating the floor. Despite the slime clinging to her boots, however, Nemi's expression stayed determined, her brows slightly furrowed in concentration. Her splashing steps were fixed in a continuous, rather monotonous rhythm, until she reached a fork in the tunnels, where they paused. A few moments later, she turned on her heel and chose the left passage, confidence making her steps lighter than before. The package slung over her shoulder swung back and forth as she walked, but she didn't seem concerned in the slightest for it's welfare, tossing it over her shoulder to get it out of her way when it slipped forward again.
Twenty years ago, a person traveling this far underground, even in the treacherously winding sewers, would be decidedly normal. The underground sewers had then been a source

It had been about two weeks since we dragged Scorpius out of the hospital wing. He had given up on the sling just about the minute we got him into bed. But, thankfully, he didn't need it anymore. But he still hurt sometimes, like now, for instance.
"Ugh, Rose, I'm fine. Just come back here." He tugged on my arm, trying to get me to lay back down with him.
"Scorpius, you can't just act like you're all fine. You're not, and I'm making it worse."
"Rose, I'm fine, honestly. Look, it doesn't hurt." He began to smack his chest like a drum with a grin on his face.
I giggled. "You're stupid."
"Am I? Because I just proved to you that I am absolutely fine and healthy, while you're sitting over there all worried for no good reason."
I really wanted to wipe that grin off his face, and he could tell. He snickered.
"You're lucky you're so handsome," I said, pushing on his shoulder, making him laugh.
He sighs, and I just watch him. He seemed to be doing much better lat

I smiled to myself. Even automatons made the mistake too. People seemed to do that all the time now, but I don't care. It's a hard thing to get used to.
Feeling parched, I walked over to the snack bar set up for the workers that weren't machines.
I picked up a cup and decided what to ask to drink.
