I found the original photo of this manip. enchanting. I thought about it and I knew I wanted to mess with it. So I did! Didn't want to make it too abstract, so I just played with little things on it. Yaya has practically black eyes, so makeing them lighter was a challenge, but fun! Yaya is my favorite person to make manips. of, so whenever I see a picture of her that catches my eye, it's fun to play with it.

A while ago Meaghan mentioned to me that she wanted Harley's Cork gun, my response HELLS YEAH!
I'm not very good with props but I'm quite pleased with how it came out, the gun is a modified Nerf Maverick [link] The gun is basically cut and pasted back together. I had originally put a bit more silver on it but I like it better with more black.
The wig is also cut and styled by me, its a long curly wig which I put up into pigtails X.x as well as cutting the bangs etc
EDIT: I was requested to put together a tutorial on the Harley Quinn cork gun, so I whipped something together. Feel free to comment/PM me with any questions. [link]
Just a quick sketch - for : catwoman through history.
I didn't want to pick something too common, and since I've always been in love with the way Pocahontas was drawn (too bad about the movie, though ), I made a colonisation-of-America Catwoman She's from the fictional Black Cougar tribe that specialised in "borrowing". They mostly operated in the south of the continent, where gold and precious stones were prized (northern tribes are more practical in that respect, valuing things like land over bling). Not to get too political, but I always thought the first American colonizers were major DICKS, so I reeeally like the idea of them getting their asses kicked and being relieved of their precious kitschy trinkets
On a more arty note, I really had trouble with the outfit. Most Native American women's clothing seems very rich and layered, which would make it hard for her to run around and climb. So I was just like "I'll just modify the Pocahontas outfit, Disney probably knows what they're doing". Yeah, maybe not So she's basically wearing a cocktail dress, and the damn kitty ears look stupid (popular culture has obviously fried my brain). Gah, this is definitely going on the re-draw list.
Yep. Tried my hand at the only clowns I ever loved. I kind of tried mixing my own style with Bruce Timm's (animated Batman), but I guess my style would've technically been in there no matter what. Heh. Duh, Sarah.
Anyway, Joker looks very close in the face to Bruce Timm's style I think, but Harley looks more like my style girls. So don't criticize on that, it wasn't ment to look identical to the animated series.
I also tried scanning the picture in at a much bigger size...does the lineart look any different? Any smoother? Also, don't humor me.
