Japanese 101Konnichiwa Minna san! Watashi wa baka desu! Watashi no shumi wa e wo kaku koto desu! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu! （＾Ｏ＾☆♪
So okay some of you got jellin of my fine japanese language desu ne.
I thought of why not teach my lovely watchers speak japanese?
Okay let's start with the simple one. If you want your sentence to sound like japanese you need to put 'desu' at the end of each sentences. Now before we start using 'desu' let me tell you first what it means. It would be stupid if you're using the word that you don't know right? Okay the word 'desu' comes from the latin word 'Canius Femina' meaning bitch. For example I love you desu (I love you bitch).. Tehehe kidding aside. Okay the meaning of 'desu' is really hard to explain but basically it's a polite modifier or it can also mean " It is ", "Those are" , or "I am." or whatever.
Now that you know the word desu let's use it in a sentence.
Fuck you desu. V(=^･ω･^= )v
Your account is yours.Just something that has been on my mind for a while... this attitude I am encountering more and more. Its an attitude where people feel that you owe them something for no particular reason other than your work is gaining exposure? I am not just speaking for myself but others too who I have seen getting barraged by people with this kind of mindset.Your account is yours.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
For example comments along the line of 'This is okay, but when are you going to do some real art, do some landscapes and nude portraits, you will get no where in life with anime', or stop spamming with crappy pictures, only submit ones that are polished an finished because I am sick of getting my inbox spammed with all your crappy 'scribbles'. 'I really don't see why your pictures get so much attention, there are people on here much better than you'.

Japanese 101 Part 2Konnichiwa Minna! Ima nani o shiteru~n desu ka? (★^O^★)Japanese 101 Part 22 years ago in Personal More Like This
Okay so now that we have learned how to speak japanese! (To people who haven't seen it yet, go here) Today I'm gonna teach you how to use chopsticks! Ohhh that sounds so very Japanese? Are you excited desu ka?
Hold your hand out, as if you're ready to shake hands with senpai. (//^ω^//)
Place one chopstick in the crook of ur thumb desu (⌒▽⌒)
Place the 2nd one on top and hold it with ur thumb and index finger and then tuck ur ring finger and pinkie underneath.
(For girls, make sure your nails are pretty to impress senpai (｡♥‿♥｡))
Now you are ready to eat that thing! \（´▽｀\）
Skewer that thing. (｀n´)

I decided to share the conversation and experiment with you guys for you all to apply to your study habits and advancement in drawing and art.Experiment Part 1: Training Your Eye2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Karuvan: I randomly drew over my old pic. Ain't gonna do it over, was just curious on how much I could have done better.
Robaato: Quick question... like... who's work at this point do you really want yours to be close to? I'm tryna gauge what level you're trying to achieve.
K: lol... Joel is becoming a huge influence.
R: Ok. I have a test for you.
R: I want you to replicate this picture exactly as it is to the best of your ability:

If you’re a follower of devBUG, you already have some familiarity with Stash -- the name we’ve given to the revamp of deviantART’s exisiting submission process.
However, Stash is so much more than a simple revamp. Your Stash on deviantART will become home to all your images, writing... everything! Here's how it works:
You can drag and drop multiple files into your Stash, quickly and easily.
However, those files won’t appear in your Gallery, or to your Watchers, until you specifically say so. Allowing you an easy place to storage images until you’re ready to publish

Regarding larger posters:
I'm only selling letter-sized and smaller things at the moment because shipping from Canada costs an arm and a leg. BUT, I'll be in U.S. during December, so I can ship 11x17" posters from there.
Drop me a quick comment if interested so I know if I should take pre-orders or not, otherwise I can't print them in time. (you can see the available designs in the photo of my table in my previous Akicon journal :b )

a pile of wanknot to everyone's taste and severely lacking in features which made users adore MSN/WLM.
ALAS, a couple of months back I found QQi, and recently Aniemae pointed it out to me again. I decided to give it a shot and was surprised to find it feels a lot like MSN/WLM.
It supports a range of appealing features such as:
• Custom emoticons
• Exporting and importing emoticons so you can back them up and share them between separate PCs! (epic feature)
• Custom fonts
• Custom themes
• Remote assistance
• Image sharing (through using a nifty 'screen capture' tool within individual IM windows that works like cropping)
• Built in Message History
• Offline messaging
• Offline file sharing
• Appear offline feature and choice to appear offline to select contacts

Sexism in game arttumblrSexism in game art1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Before you start reading my journal, I want to let you know a few things.
My examples about sexism mostly based on my own personal experience, but not all of them. Still I'm going to use myself and my own works to represent certain cases and explain my point of view without unnecessarily involving somebody else.
Also I'm not going to write about the problem of sexism in game art here , I chose the title to fool you and make you read the important things I want to say about another problem starting with sexism in game art and art in general.
Now you are prepared so we shall begin.
Either we want it or not, this topic became a kind of fashion and is everywhere, you don't need to actually look for it, it will find you. You will see it, you will hear about it, you will experience it, and you will form an opinion about it. As a woman I experience sexism on a daily level, and I'm not thinking about small th

Character CreationThere are two main counterparts that we will judge your application on: character design and the written application portion. Both must be acceptable in order to be accepted. Please keep in mind that while Academy Milizia is based in the real world, its existence itself is hardly realistic. Although your character may seem slightly exaggerated and could hardly exist in the real world, it must still be believable. Therefore, please maintain common sense while making your character.Character Creation2 years ago in Personal More Like This
• All characters must be 100% human.
• All characters should have strengths as well as weaknesses.
• All characters drawn in the applications must follow the dress code.
• We are looking for quality and effort. While great character art is always an advantage, we look more into the character itself above the appearance, as well as the attitude of the applicant.
• As always, do not be afraid to ask questions.
Facebook... ugh... so lame! I rarely enter my facebook account because I only created it to follow some sellers and well, I also added a few friends later.Facebook... ugh... so lame!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Few days ago, I tried to enter my facebook account. I've always needed to write my email and password to enter.
But this time Facebook started to ask for my real name. I wrote my name and my first surname (in my country we have TWO surnames, dad's and mom's surname). They didn't validate what I wrote and blocked my facebook account because they thought I was lying or something...
The question is: why they even started to ask for my full name like if they were trying to verficate my true identity if I only used to write my email and pass to enter? The only reason I could came up with is that perhaps someone thought that I wasn't the real account owner (?) (I dunno but I'm aware that a lot of people report art submitted without permission around facebook because I've received a lot of notes about people telling me "

[UPDATE V. 0.1] Object-tan Contest!:iconmikeinel: has offered to draw the top 3 winner's Object-tans How awesome of him, yeah?[UPDATE V. 0.1] Object-tan Contest!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I would like to announce an up coming contest! (I know this is out of the blue, the admins and I were contemplating it a while back but I think we're ready to take this on.)
The goal of the "object-tan" contest is to pick ANY object (Speakers, remote, printer... Lamp? ect.) and personify it, or turn it into a human(like) figure. Much like how Mike did for the Console Wars.
Now I think a big part of this contest is to go crazy, be creative and do things your own way. So there is no real restrictions. Just title the piece after the object you chose, and submit it to the folder I've set up for this contest.
August 20th (for now)
Enter as many times as you want! Make as many Object-tans as you want!

How To Price Your ArtHow To Price Your Art2 years ago in Personal More Like This
There is a saying from Paul Scriven about pricing that targets freelancers & designers:
"Work either for full price or for free, but never for cheap."
I think there is much truth in it, because even a cheap price has it´s price. Sometimes cheap can be good to get you some reward as a beginner, but the hardest part is then to climb up the ladder.
The illustration below pretty much sums it up:
Thats specifically the way I work and what I suggest to students.
The question always is how to raise a price with a client, once you are good enough to actually charge more?
There is not one universal key answer to that question, but first off, it is important to know what keeps

No point commissions, I will except paypal only ( in American currency )
I will not begin your commission until I have received a deposit, I will do the sketch once this is payed. Once the sketch has been approved you will pay the second half and I will begin colouring. Once colouring begins no large changes can be made only tweaking the colour and touching up on small features. This is because big changes after colouring are difficult and can require me to completely redraw the picture which isn't fair on me since it should have been sorted out during the sketching stage.
You can also pay full upfront if you want to and please don't be shy in telling me if you want tweaking or changes, its your right to have your commission the way you want it.
What I will need from you.
Your cooperation throughout the commission if you want it done in stages.
