And she ScreamedAnd she Screamed7 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
There was a girl,
listening to a song
She had been listing to it all day,
but now when she heard the words they tore at her heart
She twitched and shook and finally got up and dance
Her movements where precious with the feelings of the words
When the music screamed she screamed
When it spun she spun
When it ended she played it again
She pounded against the walls
Ripped the hair out of her head
& Ripped the skin off her face and arms
She dance with the skills none could acquire
She bled like a river of devastation she cried for all that she could not do,
and then she stopped and looked around the small white circular room she was in
She screamed so loud that every one heard her
When they heard her they felt exactly what she felt and they screamed,
They covered their ears they hide under beds
they locked their doors but they could not get away form the inconvenience
There heads exploded
their lungs filled with blood
their eyes popped out of their heads

my mother came to see me today,
she had tears in her eyes
i had seen these tears before
on the day after i was born
those tears were of an unwed mother

before she wrapped me in silk
and set me afloat down the drain
today her tears were for her favourite son,
any mothers pride
never were her tears for me.
she begged me for the life of her son
the son whom she had given life
she never asked about mine

i am comfortably numb
as she begged me to spare arjuna

she told me i will never know
the love of a mother for her child
i told her
i will never know indeed
as i promised her
that she will remain mother to five as she has always been
i could see her fear
as i realised her thoughts
she feared if it will be the five she wanted
and not the onewanted one
i remain the unwanted son
blessed is arjuna
his father had come earlier in disguise
and begged me for my earrings
that gave me invincibility

My heart still continuing to pound
I don't know how long I'll wait for the tide
It's natural rhythm, the water to subside
I hope that I can remain strong

Canterlot courthouse was old. The interior was dreary and bland. The walls were grey sheer, unfriendly, charcoal-grey edifices to the cold, hard, reality of the legal system. The furnishings were spartan and utilitarian the gallery filled with plain, nondescript wooden benches, as simple and ordinary as the dusty, faded tile of the floor. The judge's bench was tall and imposing, yet still bleak and hardly interesting. It was flanked on either side by the witness stand and the court reporter's table. The jury box sat to one side, another plain structure with space enough for twenty ponies to stand. The courtroom, through all its muted grey and brown tones, stood in direct contrast to its occupants. Filling the gallery and the jury box was a sea of brightly-colored ponies one of the largest crowds the venerable structure had seen in its many years of existence.
The courthouse was certainly old, boring, and somewhat decrepit, very unlike the other, more elega

Those Blue Wings
Applejack glanced at the sky, pausing her applebucking as she noticed a gray coated mare with a blond mane glide down from the sky. Even if she hadn't recognized the pony herself, the mailbag slung around Derpy's shoulder would have tipped her off. Noting the lack of any other Apple family pony present on the farm, Applejack trotted up to the mailmare. "Whatcha got for me, Derpy?"
The gray pegasus just smiled, pulling a letter out of her bag for Applejack to see. The farm pony's eyebrows lifted as she read the address, her surprise growing as she opened the letter and read its contents. "Well, ah'll be..."
Focused as she was on the letter, she did not notice Derpy take off, heading towards Sugarcube Corner. The mailmare had plans, and many muffins had to be ordered...

Applejack finally arrived at the Boutique and stood outside the door. She wiped the sweat off her forehead and allowed herself to enter. Applejack entered and closed the door behind her. The room was nice and cool and smelled like some kind of fancy fragrance.

Punctuating Dialogue: A GuideStandard Punctuation: DialoguePunctuating Dialogue: A Guide7 years ago in Editorial More Like This
Sometimes we read dialogue so often, punctuated in so many different ways, that we either forget what we've learned (if that was anything memorable to begin with) or we rely on instinct to guide us. A common example of this can be seen in the opening dialogue of darksouldream's piece, Bobby:
No, replied Cindy `I think his sister Becky is staying with her, but she keeps muttering about parents out living children. The doctors been keeping her pretty sedated.
Most Americans will cringe at this. Why? Well, double quotation marks are the more acceptable usage (the "traditional convention") in American Standard English. However, in British Standard English, both the double quotation mark and single quotation mark are used. What's the rule? Stylis

Look at me.
Do something to show me you know I'm here. I'm with you, I want to talk to you.
Just "Acknowledge me."
No reaction. Not even a blink of those coal black eyes as you keep your blank expression and dark irises trained on the page of that god forsaken book in front of you. All you do is read.
I talk. You read. I get frustrated. You don't care.
I wish you would. I wish you'd see me, desperate for some sort of attention but I get none.
I should have walked away by now. You'd like that wouldn't you? But my heart keeps me here, because the stupid thing's in love with you. You'd think something like that might grab you're attention. Like this, "I love you."
Still nothing. Those eyes just keeps skimming, those long, sleek, pale fingers turn the paper pages, and you continue to stare at the ink words. Obviously my spoken ones aren't as important.
Is there something wrong with me? Am I too toned? Too tanned? Too blond?!
What is it?

A good pillow fight is probably required, as Twilight would say, at every slumber party. Not because it's written in the book, but just because they're fun. Even Fluttershy joined the girls as they screamed and giggled in the night. Soon, the entire floor was covered in feathers. It's almost a miracle that their half-empty glasses of refreshing drinks were sparred.
Rainbow was under a pile of books, recovering from one of Pinkie's pillow-shots, when she heard Twilight calling out to them. "We should really get to our beds, girls. It's almost 3 AM and—" she giggled as she avoided a flying pillow. "—and Spike won't be able to sleep with us making such a racket. He's still a baby dragon, after all."

Why Applejack Is UnderappreciatedBased on my brief experience with the brony community, Applejack seems to be the least popular of Mane Six. She's the only one who is called a background pony, albeit jokingly. But why do so many bronies find her uninteresting? "She has no flaws"
I don't quite understand how people can't see Applejack's flaws, but the most likely reason is that her flaws aren't as obvious or exaggerated as those of her five friends. They do exist, though. You just have to pay attention.
Stubbornness: In "Applebuck Season," AJ was so stubborn that she worked herself to exhaustion before she finally admitted that she couldn't harvest her entire orchard on her own. She did learn to ask her friends for help, but her mind still tends to get stuck on one track, and as a result she sometimes loses sight of what's really important.
Pride: While AJ's pride isn't as in-your-face as Rainbow Dash's, she still lets pride get in the way

"Have a nice day ma'am" Rarity said to the last customer as they left Carousel Boutique. She had a busy day today with making and fixing many dresses, tuxedos, and drawing up some new designs for future projects. She wiped the sweat from her forehead with her hoof. "Wow! Every piece of fabric and string was put back in their place and set nicely together. She heard hoofsteps off in the distance coming down the stairs. "Hi Sis!" Sweetie Belle greeted her older sister.
