*Jack-13 requested a commission that required me to convert his photos of a particular fox and recreate the fox into a pilot in the Star Fox universe. Name and back story is largely up to the commissioner.
This image gave me the opportunity to do a bit of visual research on a whole bunch of subjects to improve and sharpen some skills. Thankfully, YouTube has helicopter dustoff videos which helped with the sand blowing effect. Also, I took sometime to read up on exposure on a old Photoshop magazine.
Drew this one out a while back for ~huskyxkrystal as he requested an artwork for his fursona, named Husky. I included Nora, my FC for Star Fox, because I assume he likes her based on his comments. Developing a sort of medieval-fantasy theme was fun as well even though I feel it's put together kinda haphazardly.
The success of the NUS robot line allowed development of more specialized models to aiding the citizens of the Cornerian Government for specific tasks. This particular model comes with a knowledge base covering numerous physiologies of all known species in Lylat Space. The internal structure house a M2 medical toolkit to perform field surgery for combat deployment. The booster and tread systems replace the standard biped system in favor for quick and stable maneuverability. This helped field commanders greatly by increasing squad combat efficiency and life expectancy. WIMO models come with additional weaponry, shielding and armor plating for field deployment; however, the Crimson Fox could not afford the luxuries at the time of purchase.
He is unusually calming and accommodating for a robot. He is always concerned for the safety and wellbeing of the crew and will do anything to protect them as his model should do, however due to a modification error this expression of concern can be overwhelming at times.
ROB 64’s primary role is navigation and management of thousands of simultaneous systems of the Great Fox III. In his mobilized mode, he can operate various physical interfaces and machinery with great efficiency. When situations require the Great Fox to make quick reactions with precise maneuvers, he physically links and merges with the ship’s data core to become literally the ship. ROB 64 also performs additional roles for Star Fox as needed such as assisting in mission control, repairs, logistics, custodial duties and providing occasional sarcastic remarks.
After a long and quiet patrol over the grasslands of Katina, Bill and Nora settle down and rest at the Star Fox Team's rendezvous point. As the two waited, Bill gets to know the young woman. Eventually Nora gets sentimental and shares her saddening tale. Bill was then compelled to share his losses as he attempts to man up and hold back tears at the same time.
This one was done off and on for numerous hours. The mix of warm lights and cool shadows was a great practice. Always room for improvement on everything. I like the mountains in the background though.
For fun, you can fill in the blanks to what they are saying!
A request for ~shamedwolf of his fursona and my OC Nora together in an alternate-alternate Star Fox universe. The story here is pretty basic.
At first it was going to be pretty much the first panel, but I felt that my line art skills could use some sharpening, so I drew a bunch of sketches and pieced them together on this page. It eventually turned into an attempt to create this manga-like page. That's why it took a while to throw this out here.
I hope you like it!
Oh, please give constructive critiques based on overall composition and direction of the piece. I would like some help on improving page assembly.
