The theme is romance- oo la la. :iconallmyloveplz: Your objective is to draw my fursona Twitterlu with her love interest. Now I've given this some thought, and decided to give you a few options for this. Generally, I would have her drawn with Mufasa, because I think he's awesome, but I understand that some people are highly against such things. So, if you'd rather, you can design her a mate. In the picture, they should be interacting in some way that shows they love eachother.
That's another thing, this contest will be picture submissions only, howe
Illumination: The Art of BlendingHello everyone!Illumination: The Art of Blending2 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
At TheArtOfManipulation, we have a monthly learning challenge in which we focus on a technique, share information regarding that technique, and then challenge our members to use what they've learned to create a new work. We also interview various artist to get tips and tricks on the chosen technique.
Although the challenge has ended, I'm hoping you'll find that the information and interviews we put together to be useful!
The Art of Blending
What exactly do we mean by "blending"? Well, the most basic answer to this question is that blending is when you combine two or more photos into a new work and tinker with various settings/techniques to create one cohesive, flowing image. As always, this is easier said than done.

The type of Roleplayers I hate1. Whiny bitches who complain alot:The type of Roleplayers I hate2 years ago in Personal More Like This
No one likes that.. seriously..
The ones who keep on telling me their past stories of how traumatized they are and are afraid to fucking "move on"
3. God-like freaks(only counts if it's really a serious-drama type RP, if it's a joke, I'm alright with that):
"okay seriously.. I just hit you with an arrow right THROUGH YOUR HEART. Then suddenly, you have this so-called innate ability that you revive after awhile. When will you die?? WHO ARE YOU ANYWAY? YOU'RE NOT JESUS." P.S. Demons have weaknesses too, idiots. (demons are not immortal, they only age and retain their features even at a thousand years old)
4. Yanderes who can't control themselves:
Beware the nice ones.(I'd like to step on a few Loli skulls now please that pisses me off)
5. The "perfect" damsel-in-distress:
Gurl, I just saved your ass a hundred times, when can you even be more careful? Even the enemies are greeting me whenever I come over to their base to save you.

Happy 16th Anniversary to Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame! June 21st, 1996, Disney's 34th animated film was released to theaters. I posted the original theatrical trailer that showed us all just how amazing this movie would be. I love that it ranged from light-hearted and silly to dark and serious.

Is anything working right now? :IThere seems to be a glitch that won't let a majority of my watchers get notified of my updates. I noticed this after posting and realizing there is significantly reduced traffic. I logged into my other account :iconknites: and sure enough, the newest update did not appear in the other account's inbox. Some people have reported receiving the update, while many others reported not receiving it. I decided to make sure and made a poll asking people if they received the lasted drawing in their inbox, and guess what? There's another glitch affecting the polls so most people aren't getting notified of the poll either... =_= Or at least the newest poll is not showing up in my other account either. I wonder if people will even see this journal? Is anything working right now? :I2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I already reported the bug, but if people can see this journal, I'm curious if anyone is experiencing similar problems? I remember years back there was a bug that only affected people with a certain amount of watchers which means some ar

Why I Draw Women OftenI recently got a message, and I will slightly reword it so as not to cause profane friction, nor will I state who it came from, but it read like this: "Why is everything you post regarding a woman? I think it's very sexist when the only thing you can draw are breasts and buttocks like it's the only thing in the world."Why I Draw Women Often2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Okay, so by now, if you haven't been watching me for a good minute, you know that I really like to draw women, and I like portraying the female form, usually and often in a tasteful manner. I could hypothetically end that question there and just answer "I wasn't aware everything in my gallery was a woman or had breasts and a butt" and then post a picture or two of Rai Rivet... But I'm not going to do that. I'm going to explain my stance on drawing the female form and my adoration for it.

Honour Amongst Thieves ... Podcast?Let it never be said that Sak doesn't deliver!Honour Amongst Thieves ... Podcast?2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Last Sunday I had a Skype meeting with Brendan Julian and Richard Johnston - the voices of Louis and James respectively from my upcoming animation - to discuss the finer points of Honour Amongst Thieves. As promised, I managed to record it and so without further ado, I present to you:
Honour Amongst Thieves
I was delighted to see the two of them got along so well, because their character interaction promises to be great this way. Unfortunately, Santiago's VA was unable to make it due to timezones, but perhaps sometime in future we'll be able to repeat this again plus one Spaniard!

"Explicit Pornography"?! Aw, jeez, guys. You must have the worst collection of porn on the planet to think that was explicit.
A 90s Rochelle Swanson outing was more explicit that that pic, and that stuff got aired, uncut, on terrestrial UK TV (god bless you Channel 5, you made the young Jack jolly).
I believe that, for something to be labelled "explicit", SOMETHING must be visibly going in SOMEWHERE. Such was not the case in the offending image,

Tolkien was, undeniably, a genius, but, for the love of creativity and dynamism; read another f**king book, people.
There's a world of culture, history and myth out there to seek inspiration from! Fantasy should be an exciting, twisted reflection of the world around us, not an endless stream of pirated Lord of the Rings DVDs.
Go See Frankenweenie!Frankenweenie isn't doing so well in the box office. Most likely due to it being stop motion AND black and white on top of that. Tim Burton has put his heart and soul into this film. It's been one of his stories, one of his babies, for years (back since the early 80s) and probably in his head WAY before that. So for a good 30 years or so it's been a part of him. The fact that people can't appreciate different forms of animation other than 3D animation is scary.Go See Frankenweenie!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
So the thoughts running through my head are......
ARE PEOPLE INSANE????? GO SEE IT!!! (if it's playing in your country) It's really a good movie! The animation is top notch. It's a really refreshing animation to see nowadays. I mean, who doesn't love a story about a boy and his dog? And it's not geared towards little kids either. It's for all ages (perhaps even more geared towards the older audiences) the ones who could appreciate the homage it does for classic horror films and the ones who remember the bond of their first dog t
Same-Sex Marriage.... Sorry, yeah, I may be going into a bit of a rant here, just for a brief warning.Same-Sex Marriage.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
So, same sex marriage... WHY is it not allowed? What exactly is peoples problem with it?
Sorry if this is a bit out of the blue, but recently in England there's supposed to be a big vote or something about whether homosexual marriage should be allowed, and a lot of people are apparently saying it shouldn't be.
Now some people think same sex marriage is 'traditional' or whatever, and of course there's the religious views, but apart from that... What is wrong with it? Marriage isn't even that much of a religious thing, I mean its literal meaning is 'is a social union or legal contract between people called spouses that establishes rights and obligations between the spouses, between the spouses and their children, and between the spouses and their in-laws.' In short its just a contract binding two people together. Why should that not be allowed for same sex couples?
From purely the relationship side of th

I'm kind of lost for words. I just loved that movie... <3
And this is yet another solid proof that Will Smith is just the most brilliant actor that at least I know of. He never ceases to impress me. And I think this movie just made it official that he's now my favorite actor. Ever.
I recommend watching this movie, if you haven't already.

Gay MarriageI would like to start off by saying that my only hostility in this matter is toward conforming to intolerance and choosing hate out of fear. As well as shear ignorance of the actual truth concerning theological and cultural "ethics." Marriage, BY ITS ORIGINAL DEFINITION, is a bond between a man and a woman. I have absolutely no problem with gays being together, it's really none of my damn business, and it shouldn't be such a big bloody issue to people in the first place.Gay Marriage2 years ago in Personal More Like This
God isn't going to send people to Hell for loving one another, the Bible explains that CLEARLY. He only hates sin, and in this case it would be sexual immorality, which can come from both sides. I say this because in the end, what's seen as a "bond" between two people is for those two people to decide. However I will say that even throughout the Bible and up into modern times, the concept of marriage has changed a great deal. It used to be that women we're almost like a commodity when it came to marriage. That w

Anatomy booksI'm frequently asked how I learned to draw and the answer is very simple - a large part of my knowledge is self taught from books. That's why I thought it would be a good idea to share some titles I owned or came across and used them through the years. Hopefully someone will find this list useful :3Anatomy books2 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Books that are awesome:
"Anatomy for the Artist" by Sarah Simblet
"The Artist's Guide to Animal Anatomy" by Bammes Gottfried
Books that are good:
" Drawing the Head and Hands" by Andrew Loomis
"Figure Drawing for all it's Worth" also by Andrew Loomis
Books that are ok but from the time perspective I do not recommend them:
"How to Draw Heads and Portraits" by Jose M. Parramon
"Human Figure" by Jose M. Parramon
Books that are pure unrefined shit and should be burned on sight:
Anything from Christopher Hart
Binary HatredRemember when I was posting some journals about artist taboos and I had a couple more to talk about? Here's one of them, though it doesn't just relate to artists it's just kinda an all around taboo I wish would end.Binary Hatred2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Perceived Rivalry Hatred
Basically it works like this: You say you dislike something and immediately get attacked by people who either defend the thing you said you disliked, or accuse you of being a supporter of it's supposed rival (whether this has any basis in reality or not). It also works on things you like, things you're indifferent to, or anything really. EVERYTHING has a supposed default rival. Movies, TV, Video Games, Ideologies, Words, Phrases, etc. Everything.
Say you're an atheist? Automatically means you hate all Christians.
Say you like the X-Box 360? Automatically means you hate Sony.
Say you like the PS3? Automatically means you hate Microsoft.
You liked a Marvel movie? Guys you hate the DC stuff.
You like Chocolate Ice Creme? Fuck you and your vanilla bias!
