Hyperreal Mech 2008 -
The mech in humanoid style tastes like Gundam.
It's one of the famous genre for LEGO MOCs though, also it's the important to build up "not LEGO" at a glance.
So I always challenge it into more details close to the ordinary figures or models. Arranged via Photoshop.

The first entry I ever submitted to Deviantart was a steampunk airship. This is going full-circle. A companion piece to that previous work, this is a military escort to the previous vessel. While the earlier ship design had more classic lines, this second design is a fully fleshed out military vessel. Yet both unquestioningly belong to the same universe, as they follow very similar design aesthetics.

I hope that this ship proves to be a worthy successor to my very first DA drawing! Enjoy!

First and foremost, sorry bout the file size.

this is just a short animated demo I made with Blender, to show you guys what my tribot can do.

I have made a few tweaks to the model here and there, since this was rendered, but honestly I don't have the attention span to spend another full day re-rendering a WIP.

A more current (but unanimated) version can be found here:

"Dollface"

CLASS: BIOCONSTRUCT

A specialized upgrade of the Lester, the Lesley was designed to collect genetic samples and research the reproductive patterns of wild hominids by closely imitating a receptive female. Unfortunately, the camouflage proved as transparent and disturbing to humans as that of the Lester, necessitating paralytic and aphrodesiac components to its stinking, memory-wiping toxic gas. Helpless research subjects quickly forget the Lesley's appearance, recalling only some indistinct, invisible presence.

When discovered, a Lesley may inflate its fleshy tunic with gas and unleash a noisome explosion, knocking out all witnesses and launching itself several dozen yards. Its upper eye can extend hundreds of feet on a thin, flexible cable to monitor potential subjects, and it can safely split apart at the waist, its posterior fleeing with its brain intact as its largely empty upper body distracts attackers.

Like the Lester, Lesley are often employed as combat minions, easily underestimated by monsters who have difficulty distinguishing the fast and powerful creature from a normal, vulnerable Homo sapiens.

------------------

This is a female counterpart to one of last year’s monsters, both of them essentially “bogeymen,” though the Lester spies on people and kidnaps children while the Lesley’s routine is closer to “old hag syndrome,” a form of sleep paralysis which is widely believed to be the real inspiration behind the legends of succubi and incubi.

MORTASHEEN BONUS STORYLINE STUFF:

Larger human cities are usually aware of Mortasheen and its society of deadly monsters, but tucked around the planet are completely isolated human colonies, which to us might look eerily like 20th century suburbs, completely unaware (or willfully ignorant) of anything beyond their borders. These are very interesting to Mortasheen scientists, who may take great care to “preserve” their “culture,” in other words keeping them completely cut off from the outside world for research purposes.

"Spore Specter"

CLASS: BOTANICAL

These silent, secretive fungoids are similar in many regards to the Mildoom, but while their greener cousins physically invade the epidermis of prey, Mustox scatter their slimy black spores in the air to germinate in the internal membranes of creatures unlucky enough to inhale them. The slimy, poisonous fungus grows rapidly in the lungs, sinuses and digestive system, continuously releasing deadly mycotoxins into the bloodstream and eventually threatening the host with suffocation. The corpse of an expired infectee will eventually sprout a new juvenile Mustox from the nostrils or other respiratory orifice.

Mustox do not float as well as Mildoom, dragging their long tendrils on the ground or employing them as crude legs.
