Character: Cryin Wolf Source: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Event: MCM Expo October 2011
Pain level: High. The head piece and lower body are supported by a strap around the small of my waist. There's also a strap supporting the legs that goes around my neck.
To be worn at: no more events. Too much pain. I shall repair it and don it again only for a photo shoot.
It was my first time in the Expo masquerade because this cosplay simply couldn't be worn just to wander around in. I was so terrified but I had a wonderful assistant to help me. I could barely see a thing.
The most hilarious moment was my gun fastening deciding to snap during the pre-judging. A bit of glue and ingenuity later and I was ready to roll.
Thank you to everyone who came up to me and complimented the suit. It made the past year of working on it worthwhile.
This is a calico Furious Pookum. If you're interested in him, you can buy him here: [link] *EDIT: took some different pictures* *EDIT 2: Repainted face, took more pictures*
I really do like longer fur on my Pookum dolls. This guy looks like a baby yeti or something. So cute in real life. Sorry that once again, my pictures don't do enough justice. If he takes a long time to sell, I'll attempt to figure out how to work my camera and take better images of him.
This guy's eyes and teeth glow, btw. It's pretty neat looking in the dark.
About Furious Pookums:
Pookum Doll is made by me, Caylee. (faux fur, air dry clay, acrylic paint, metallic paint, stuffing, rice)
My oldest, childhood friend recently offered to commission me for this awesome AWESOME freakin idea. We both grew up playing Chrono Cross together like crazy and it's still one of our favorites. Anywho, she wanted a sculpture of the Frozen Flame as a tea light holder! Her birthday is this month, so I turned the idea into a gift <3 I forgot to photograph the back, but there's a little bowl sculpted to the flame for the tea light to sit in. This was so much fun, and so therapeutic! God I love this game.
New Kurikara sword and it have been sented to new owner about week ago. Basicly same kind of sword as first kurikara mabde by me. Little changes still can be found. I made smaller "pearl" for the tsukas cord this time as that first one felt too big for my taste.
