The boy crouched on the edge of the cliff overlooking the sea, he couldn't have been over thirteen or 5 foot 3 as he stared down over the edge to the rocks below with green eyes, tan cargo shorts and a navy blue t-shirt made up his attire. A tiny forest bordered the cliff behind him as two people, obviously his friends make their way through this forest to him...
"Max!" the older of the boys called to the boy on the cliff...
I sigh and look back at Kyle, his black hair moving just enough to see him standing a few feet behind him.
"What?" I asked causualy.
"Why'd you leave?" Jake asks, stuffing his hands into his baggy jeans, he was 6 feet tall and had spiky brown hair and a scar that ran just under his left eye, which was blue. He had taken off his shirt, reavealing the sweaty muscles underneath.

Sadly, I was not as lucky with regard to my wallet, as I discovered that it contained a grand total of two dollars. Still, I had to eat, as my stomach had grumbled during the first lecture of the day. Thankfully, I was able to afford a cup of fruit punch and a plate of chicken rice.
Having not much time left before the next lesson, I wolfed down the food, together with the punch, which tasted strange. Something told me that my stomach would give me trouble over it later.
I was right, and throughout the entire day, my stomach was churning, and my organs felt as it they were going on a tour of my entire body. This led to my loss of concentration during the subsequent lessons, and I w

A few weeks back, he had ordered a Chinese dragon costume, of which the shop keeper was all too eager to describe to him, but didn't have a sample to show. But it was described as a realistic long dragon costume, sleek and snake-like. Slender limbs for arms and feet, elegant fins across its back, and a long snout with flowing whiskers. And at a low price, how could he say no?
However when it did come, he realized he should've said no. The costume he saw was one that looked entirely fake. The skin was made of cheap rubber, scales painted on. The "realistic features" were whiskers and attachable claws. It didn't even come with horns.
Trying it on, Noah realized it didn't fit him. Not because it was too big or too small, but because it didn't seem like it was shaped for a hum

A young boy wanders through an unexplored forest. He's about eight years old, with brown hair, blue eyes, and slightly ripped clothes. He stumbled through the forest limping on his right leg. His body was torn to shreds; many injuries were clearly visible across his entire body. He kept pushing himself to his limits, wandering deeper and deeper into the dark forest which enveloped the night, until finally he came across a creature lying down in the ground, surrounded by trees. The boy limped forward to take a closer look at the creature but as he stood over body of the creature he saw the true horror that lay before him. The creature was a dragon hatchling, dead; its green scales glowed crimson in the moonlight from its wounds. Arrows protruded out of its body from spine to tail. The boy's eyes became blurry, his conscious mind fading from reality. The boy fell unconscious where he stood and fell onto the grass next to the dead hatchling, his hand falling on top of its

A Frozen Haven (Dragon TF/AR/MC)It was a cold winter night. Three young boys had wandered into the forest after getting lost on a camping trip. The three were wandering around since noon, and haven't found the campsite since. George and the DragonOnce there was a lad by name of George who was eternally curious, and who had never figured out what fear was. One day, as he was climbing around in the mountains behind his house, he discovered a huge nest. It was large enough that his entire house could have fit inside with plenty of room around it, and littered with shell fragments, light green with darker speckles. In the center of the nest, George saw a large intact egg with the same coloration. He put one ear against the side and heard the faintest of movements. Then, as he watched in amazement, a long crack split the side of the egg. Before long, the shell was in pieces, and a strange creature was sitting in the middle. It was roughly the size of a large cat, but instead of fur, it was covered with dark green scales. It had two wings tightly furled against its sides, which it soon spread and flapped experimentally. It looked around and quickly spotted George. It shuffled towards him, mewling piteously. George cautiously extendedGeorge and the Dragon2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

This mess, this entire mess started last year, while I was still in secondary school. All I can say about it is this: "Why do these things always happen to me?" I continued thinking, as I stared at the black dragon lying opposite me, regarding me with those sad eyes, as if he wanted to say the same thing. Dragon. Bah. That idiot was the root of all my problems. If only I could just migrate and leave him behind, but of course, he would just fly after me. Damn creature. Still the damn creature stuck to me, and refused to put me out of my misery, by leaving.

Well, this was just dandy.
Dad had to go to China to help a client, and the whole family was able to come along. Mom thought it would be a nice vacation, so here we are in Beijing, looking for our hotel. It just so happened that we arrived just before the Chinese New Year started off, and businesses would be closed for at least half of the celebrations.
