ReturnMatthew covers his mouth as he sobs silently.Return3 years ago in Romance More Like This
Tears are streaming down his face, dripping onto his pajama pants, his knees curled against his chest. He wants to quit his tears, but is unable to. He cannot force himself to stop. He has held this inside of him much too long, and he wants this pain to end more than his tears.
Matthew swears silently, in his head, inaudible to human ears.
His cheeks begin to sting from all the water drizzling down, and he hopes and prays no one will come in to check on him at this hour. He hurriedly wipes his face, but knows it still has the mark of a crying one. He swallows heavily, and tries to calm himself.
He does not succeed. Instead, Matthew cries more.
Matthew cries for everything. He cries for being bullied when he was younger. He cries for his brother who's had to protect him for so long. He cries for Gilbert, the one who couldn't return his feelings for him. He cries for Victoria, the island girl who's stood up for him for as long as he could rem

It started out as any other World Meeting did. England and France were in their customary fist fight of the month; America was proclaiming himself as being the so-called "Hero", Russia was terrifying the Baltic states as he talked to them about something that only the world knew what, and China was complaining loudly about how the nations had deteriorated since world knows how many years had passed (in other words he was preaching to his imaginary choir about his woes of being one of the oldest countries still in a good amount of standing). In all honesty Canada was used to the fact that he was being left out of the rest of the countries tomfoolery, he was also used to the fact that the other countries kept forgetting he was there. The invisibility left the Canadian the ability to observe and learn about the others but it also left him with a feeling of loneliness. Sure America acknowledged him from time to time and France was able t

Just when I thought I could go
My heart is lost and you're pulling me back again
Wishing on a falling star wish I could be where you are
somehow you came and changed my everything
England watched as both Canada and America grew up but only Canada decided to stay with him.
"Canada, are you sure you want to stay with an old bloke like me?" England asked uneasily, hoping Canada would say no.
"Well.." Canada thought for a moment "I am sure I could go anywhere else if I pleased".
England grimaced. He didn't want Canada to leave; he was the only company the brit had after America declared his independence and left him in no mans land. Canada saw the horror on England's face and continued to speak.
"But I like where I am right now and that's right next to you, Arthur" Canada said with a smile. England knew that Canada meant what he said since he called England by his actual name. England looked at Canada with tears in his eyes, filled with joy at the fact that the

It was the average Sunday for Alfred Jones. He had a friend over to play video games, as usual, while his younger brother (by ten minutes, as he would argue) Matthew was studying. Today, the friend was Gilbert Beilschmidt, and they were playing Call of Duty. Gil seemed pretty cool, but there was something ...off... about him. That was what Matt had told Alfred, but as usual, the older brother didn't listen.
They were about to complete a mission when Gilbert stood up and yawned.
"Hey, Alfred. Where's your bathroom?"
Down in the left, but hurry up, dude!"
"Yeah, ok." The german said while stretching and walking up the stairs.
Alfred sat for a few minutes, bored. He had heard a few muffled voices.
I guess Gil and Matt are talking?
He walked into the kitchen. He was pouring a glass of coke when he heard a blood curdling scream that made him drop the soda and the glass onto the floor.
The boy ran down the hallway, ignoring the g

The young Alfred still ran and jumped cheerily, ignoring the red-faced Brit that scolded him. He didn't bother retaliating with the usual "you're not the boss of me"; he was too busy laughing. Matthew, who was sat on Alfred's shoulders, held on tightly, afraid that he might fall.
"Alfred!" Arthur didn't bother to chase after him, because he knew he wouldn't be able to catch up with the playful boy.
"A-Al, maybe you should listen to him " Matthew squeaked, tightening his grip on the American.
"But it's so much fun!"
Alfred came to a sudden stop, barely avoiding a collision with the tall man in a blue coat that stepped before him. He looked up at him, recognising the flowing blonde hair and slight stubble immediately.
"Aww," he whined. Matthew peered up from his glasses and smiled.
"Matthew, it's time for your French lesson."
"Oui!" the small boy chimed, climbing off of Alfred and standing beside h

I would have liked today to have gone by a little smoother, however, the bruises and cuts
surrounding my body told me otherwise. So, here I am, fallen and immobile, half dead and struggling to
rise up. I lift my head up slightly as a somewhat blurry figure approaches and raises a knife.
"Had enough yet?" Well this is pleasant. On one hand, I knew that this had to be done, because a hero never gives up.
Although at this point, surrendering didn't seem like such an awful option. I breathed in deeply as the
blurry figure circled around me. Pull yourself together together after all, I've been through worse;
world wars, cold wars, fighting my diet this is merely one stepping stone that I must simply overleap, right?
Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my side and looking over, come to realize that I've just been jabbed
with the back end of a rifle. Opportunity. With shaky hands I reach towards the equipment, firmly
grasping the handle and cocking the gun. Slow
