I watch in silence as he rips her apart..limb by limb. The sound of crunching and blood splattering was almost too much to bare.
You're next. I hear the voice inside my head scream.
"Please! Please don't subject me to such arbitral wickedness! I beg of you, I'll do anything you wish." I cried. The creature dropped the carcass and turned to me. Her body was so twisted and disfigured, I couldn't bare to look again.
It's your turn now! You didn't help her.. the reek of betrayal was strong in the air, almost too thick to breathe in.
"Do what you wish to me.. It doesn't matter anymore." I fell to my knees crying. It came closer, smelling the fear that covered me. I knew it was over, yet something inside me screamed to keep fighting. While it slowly tore at my skin I tried to distance myself, thinking of the old days when I was safe and warm in my bed. Nothing could ever harm me..the monsters were never real and I..was happy. A tear fell upon the floor, mixing wit

Pastries left marred
Candlelit the night
For a party of lone reject
Her treats denied
Dismissed behind her back
They left her out
Upset she lies, caters the fest
Abandoned she feasts
They liked her, enjoyed her games and plays
Like leper now
Those backstabbers, liars,
Cowards, avoid her
Alone you're left
alone you're left alone you're left
alone you're left alone you're left
"Why won't they care without my friends I've nothing left "
Alone you're left you empty soul alone you're left you worthless soul
To fill the emptiness
She feigns the pain inside
Aching heart caters the fest
With puppet plays
Abandoned she feasts
Now castaway escape
Help me Stand- A Poetical PrayerHelp me Stand- A Poetical Prayer4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Help me to stand
Father, help me to stand
Remind me that I am firmly in your hand
In spite of this trial
A trial that seems so vile
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death1
I shall come to you for rest
This trial is unavoidable
But You, Lord, are faithful
Even though fog clouds my vision
You are still near
My faith is not in my emotions
My faith is in Your Person
Jesus, you are with me til the end of the age
I want to see your faithfulness today
Help me stand under this trial
Let me grow stronger from something that seems so vile
Spirit, I know You are here
Through trials you draw me near
You draw us me Yourself, the Father and the Son
You remind us that someday my trials will be done
Victory is in Mighty God
He strengthens and improves me through the discipline rod
Even though painful at first
Discipline draws me to God, who quenches my thirst2
Your God is with you
Do not fear the valley of the shadow of death
My God is my rest
I will not be afraid of evil

Heaven is a vibrant city glistening with snow
Hell is damned eternity where flesh is rotting slow
Heaven is a festival where silence can't be found
Hell is filled with hatred, eating death and shitting vows
Heaven is so beautiful, I cannot wait to see
Hell is so disgraceful, lacking decency
A soul that floats is bound to reach the gates of heaven's feet
A soul that sinks, revolts, and bleeds will likely gnash its teeth
Heaven's full of meek and cheer, the quiet are allowed
Hell overflows with bastard sinners, shouting all aloud
So fight your fight and stay upright lest Hell reserve your stay
Let pain dissolve but most of all, Let Heaven guide your way

"I will appoint shepherds for them who will shepherd them so that they need no longer fear and tremble; and none shall be missing, says the Lord." (Jer 23:4)
In this passage we have cause for joy, but also a cause for concernjoy because of what the prophet proclaims and concern because of what our brothers are saying. In this passage I see a disturbing trend where Protestants often ignore passages like this. Now it is not that many err completely but rather that there needs to be greater nuance in our treatment of this topic. Now, some take the notion "Jesus is the high priest" to mean that he is the only priest with authority, while others take it to mean that we all share equally in the priesthood and that's the end of it.
But this is a prophetic message from Jeremiah, and we must remember that there are many types of prophetic utterances: some foretell God's wrath, His mercy, destruction, restoration, the end of days, or the coming of the New Age, i.e., the age of Christ. This

Stay With MeHe had only wanted to see what the outside world was like. He knew that he was a child of the Most High God, but he didn't care much for that position. He wanted to see how others lived. So he did just that. When he felt that Jesus wasn't looking, he crept away from Him and journeyed on his own.
He saw all that the world had to offer; iPads, iPhones, huge televisions, glimmering jewels, and new technology that was just coming out.
This pleased him greatly, and he wished to possess all of these things and more. How could any of all these awesome things make him feel empty, just as Jesus had said?
He had bought all of these things and more, till his heart was content. He was happy; finally happy with all that he possessed. He thought of Jesus, but then quickly pushed Him out of his head.
'Jesus does not want for me to have all of these things. He wants for me to be poor for the re

C.S.Lewis once said, "You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body."
As all Christians believe, I believe every human being's soul is eternal. No matter what state your body is in, each human soul is priceless beyond measurement and cannot ever die.
It can, however, darken to the point of no return. Hell isn't a place where God sends bad people. Hell is simply the absence of God: He who is Love, Joy, Peace, Forgiveness, Righteous Passion, and all things good.
Hell is the rejection of God.
So what must heaven be?
I thank God for allowing me to have my illness. If He hadn't, how could I have truly understood the difference between the body and soul? How could I have understood the importance of reaching for Him and allowing Him to purify my eternal soul before reaching for worldy pleasure?
How could I ever feel or understand true joy, if I had never suffered?

In a land that you've never heard of, was a kingdom you've never seen. There lived a people who moved like the wind but appeared like light. Everything there was bright, full of colours and vibrant. And just like the people everything seemed to be made of light. Except you could still hold on to or feel what you saw. Up until recently, there had never been trouble of any sort in the land. There was no reason for it. The King was kind and never gave anyone reason for treason. But high treason there was. From beside the very throne itself. And with

There was much grumbling amongst the rebels. Not knowing what would happen to them, everyone began to speculate as too what they should do. Everything from making their own place, to taking over the kingdom wa

She was hurting, deeply
But she always tried to cover it up with a smile
She acted as if the words they said didn't hurt her,
But in the inside, they were killing her
She acted as if life was perfect,
But in reality, her world was falling apart
Every night, after a long day of pretending to be someone else,
She would lay in her bed and cry
Let the pain seep out
Let the words consume her mind
Let her world continue to spin out of control
She would remember how he hurt her
How everything happened in a flash
How he was with her one minute
And with another girl the next
It made her heart feel broken and betrayed
Making her afraid to ever love again
She remembered how she was teased and tormented
The things they would say to her like
"You are worth nothing" or
"Sorry, Only the pretty girls get loved."
Those words continued to hurt and haunt her day by day
Making her insecurities become more and more alive
She remembered how she started to pretend
Because her depression had come back

Do you see it?
In the face of a worshiper as she sings out
Eyes closed, reaching up to the One she loves.
The light that shines when she remembers what He has done.
I know how it feels.
A fire rising up in your very being,
Such joy and passion for God fills you up,
Builds tension in your chest,
Like a bird fluttering to be free from a cage,
The praise escapes and leaves,
And then you are lost.
Lost in the wings that protect,
A fortress that surrounds,
A love so complete,
And you aren't aware of singing anymore,
Or anyone who is around.
Your entire being caught up
In this perfect love.
And then you open your eyes,
But don't see,
Because all thought is fixated on Him.
Such wonderful peace is found,
in the most passionate worship.
Even when tears fall down your face,
Because life has brought you to your knees,
God hears more than just the words,
But every hurt you have,
And helps carry them.
On Reading Scripture: the BeginningOn Reading Scripture: the Beginning3 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
Often when I read discussions, arguments, or biblical-based critiques/attacks of my theology I find that there is both a sad simplification and, at times, an ignorance of Scripture. Many of us, especially Christians, would like to disagree that we are members of this category but the reality is that all the zeal and good (or bad) intention in the world doesn't translate to wisdom (let alone an understanding of Scripture). In order to remedy this situation I would like to offer some ideas on reading Scripture more effectively and some pitfalls to avoid in the process.
Reading Scripture can seem like a daunting taskmany aren't sure where to begin or try to muscle their way through right from the beginning. This isn't a bad approach but we can get weighed down in a sea of details. Keep reading and I'll try and put it in a different light.
Many people make comments about a number of subjects while using Scripture such as gay marriage, abortion, sex outside of marriageand the li

I had imported a copy of Pokémon White, because the game was WAY too awesome for me to handle waiting until like, next June to play. After a while, I had wanted to get a shiny Desumasu as my first rarity of the game, but I quickly got discouraged because of the other Pokémon that appears in the same area as Desumasu--Meguroko. Apparently, everyone on YouTube has a shiny Meguroko and shiny Warubiaru is soon to be the new shiny Charizard, even though the color scheme is less than appealing, in my opinion. I would personally want a pink and silver coffin one day than a sunburned caiman. Not to mention, I became aware I couldn't get

The bear and her cub were running through the woods,
Enjoying the bountiful goods.
The fish were caught so easily,
And the berries were very juicy.
Safety meant being by her mother.
There she was safe from the dogs of the mighty hunter.
She was protected from the lions' roar.
She was far away from the god's horn.
This day through the woods was a delight.
Mother knew what was right.
Mother knew it was not safe at night.
Mother knew what was unsafe during daylight.
On this particular day
The cub wandered away.
It was an accident, for you see,
Minor chased a chamaeleon to a tree.
In that tree, which was near a lake,
Was a very unpleasant snake
He liked to use tricks and perform misdeeds
His personal favourite word is deceit
As Minor approached the water's edge
She sense someone was above her head
"Greetings," said the snake.
"I am Serpens, and I live above the lake."
The snake smiled with glee,
"What has brought you to me?"
Minor shook her

Firuhza didn't enjoy living life predictably. He and his wife were one of the wealthiest people in Caravel, the thriving city in the heart of a desert. There they enjoyed a comfortable life style. They owned a big brick house in the middle of the city. Their lives consisted mostly of long days spent relaxing by the private springs and large feasts at night. It was mostly the same year in year out. Caravel was in situated in the heart of an ancient civilization at it's best, around that time. The city benefited a great deal from the many foreigners who would pass by it on the journeys from around the globe. If one wanted to buy something found on the other side of the planet without having to go there to get it, then Caravel was the place to be. It had everything. Being a successful self-made merchant, Firuhza was a very learned man. He knew much about the different cultures and beliefs of the world. They called him "The Rooted Traveller" because he never left the city of Caravel. Yet a

You can't just judge that just because that person looks good!, lol.
See, when you're looking for your future spouse, don't go by what your gut is telling you, go by what God is trying to tell you!!!
I myself chased after this one girl for years, thinking that she was THE ONE!!! (The chosen one!, weeoooweeeoooooweeeoooo!!! lol, Kung pow reference)
But God told me straight forward: "She is not the one, if you keep chasing after her, you will fall with her."
But I was stubborn, and thought I was in Love.
When I decided to let her go, it was hard and heart breaking, but my life became so much better!!!!
I now see things different, thanks to God!, and I now look at inner beaut

Yes, you know it was bound to come eventually. After all, he is a fan girl favorite. Anyway, I have a LOT to say about him, simply because he is the most textured and human (yes, even more then Chell) character in the game. Where to start? Well, as I played throughout the game I grew quite attached to him (putting myself into the position that during the testing I hadn't had any kind interaction, at all) and came to consider him as a comrade and companion during the grueling trial of escaping. Even so, some of the things he says throughout this first part do reveal that he has a sort of mild contempt and resentment for humans and is a bit selfish. Despite this, his transformation after the core transfer was so sudden and complete that even his mirth starts morphing into sadistic fit of laughter, followed soon after by vengeful transference of Glados into a potato. The fact that he reaches this boiling point after called a moron seems to indicate that he has some sort of infe

For sin pays its wagedeath;
but God's free gift is eternal life in union
with Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6: 23
Have you ever floated on the currents of a river; either in a boat or on a tube or just your body ~ floating? To relinquish control and let the current move you all on its' own power with no effort on your part; is that what surrender means?
What of surrender to God ~ to see where His Spirit leads you and to do the Will of our Heavenly Father ~ to just let go! What stops us from trusting? What sins get in the way of letting God's Will and His plans for us over take our plans and our will?
1 To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see.
That's faith; letting go of our will, our life and clinging to the Lord. Not to give up our free will but to choose to do God's Will instead of our own. You do this by trusting Christ and following His faith in God.
