The Immortal Regret.
I see upon a hill,
the setting sun, fleeing from the night...
The moon coming above that horizon for the kill,
to rise and banish to darkness all light.
Though time brushes over creation,
I live on, a slave to immortality.
Though I was the choser of my own damnation,
Twas humanity that was the cause of my brutality.
Now the world around me decays,
unlike my flesh and mind...
Time has left my future in a haze,
and the changing world has been unkind.
I see upon a hill, but another slope downward,
where the pointless journey continues on...
unto to no end is my existence forever moving forward
Nostalgia is dead, as my past is forever gone.
MistakesIf every mistake I ever madeMistakes3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
was a scar on my body
there would be no pure skin.
Every inch would host a jagged line
where my so called 'selfish pride'
managed to get the better of me.
Idiot mistakes of my youth,
and moronic declarations
of what I thought was insignificant.
Mistakes, errors of judgment,
a complete lapse in sense,
that litter my skin with memories of pain.
For a moment
I thought I was important
not someone to be overlooked.
My selfish pride betwixt me
for everything was little
compared to the pride I raised.
A fall to Earth
waking on concrete
no one besides me.
My mistakes are scars
littering my skin
tainting once pure flesh.
Blunders of thoughts,
guilt as endless as the sky,
never ending weight of it.
are meant to be just that
Though they haunt my thoughts everyday
I can't help but hope that one day
they will be scars instead of thoughts
so everyone else will know
they thoughts that haunt me everyday.

Watch your body, limply rock
Drip, drop, drip, drop
Smell your body, slowly rot
Tip, toe, tip, toe
One step over, the edge you go
Breathe, slow, Breathe, slow
This is your last breath you know
Twiddle, Dee, twiddle, dumb
Feel your body, going numb
Rap tap Tum, rap tap Tum
Your heart it beets, like a drum
Think, fast, think, fast
Insanity, has your heart, in grasp
Black, out, black, out
It's over now, without a doubt

My SuicideSay goodbye to all the painMy Suicide3 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Everyone gets their wish
No ugly comments in my brain
And there is no one left to miss.
Goodbye to all the things you said
None of them matter now
And all of the things that you misread
I know this will make up for it somehow.
The wasted years and time that passed
Will be gone before you know it
This is my turn, my spell to be cast
Just pray that I wont blow it.
You're finally getting what you want
This is no time to cry
The tears I cried and the names you taunt
All lead to this... my suicide...

Lurks a beast's sad lullaby
Weeping for a slice of respite
From the desperate and decrepit
His mind is cut into three
Him, his thoughts, his feelings free
Two heads to which he lost control
One that serves a useless role
Left to be a lone bystander
Hidden from such wanted candor
For those two heads speak in tongues
Foreign to the ears of young
Blind to the heads on either side
Wildly guessing what they hide
Secret whispers taunt his dreams
Nothing soothes his unheard screams
He limps across the woods with shame
No longer sure what he became
Two heads lead his unseen path
Whisp'ring tales of hidden wrath

Words can twist her brain,
she loves the wonder they bring.
She is intelligent, they say,
she doesn't feel clever enough.
Sometimes she feels clever too much.
Excusez-moi, in perfect French,

She is clever, they say.
But she is not clever the way they know.
She sees things as they are,

She knows she loves them more than they in return,

Monument to a Ruined ManI see you now.Monument to a Ruined Man3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
The magnificent velvet and silk flags of your name
Now fester and rot in tatters.
The ornate gold and jewels, now dull and blackened with age,
Hang limply from the brittle, yellowing scaffolds
Of your admiring subjects, their mouths gaping open in one last,
All loyalty long since disappeared.
And here you stand
Alone in the silence of your own undoing-
No longer a ruler, or even a man, but a shell-
The hands whose wizened palms I once worshipped
Have crumbled slowly into nothing.
Those lips, whose stately curve I once adored,
Now worn and cracked from centuries of smiling.
But your smiles were never intended for me.
How I longed for something more than
The cold, conceited gaze with which I was rewarded.
But time passed, your influence waned, and now you stare emptily
Searching in vain for your salvation.
And here, as your empire dies,
You fall to the ash and dust
And are swallowed by darkness
And whispers echo through the void:
This is your legacy.

Watching and learning
Trying to resist
His unconquerable yearning
An actor of rare disguise
Covering half-truths with unfinished lies
His plans twist and turn
Taking years for fruition
After which he disappears
A forgotten apparition
While lesser men succumb
To the beckoning temptation
He stands regardless
Steadfast by his station
Vigil of the darkness
Watcher of the night
Countless men have tried
To evade his inhuman sight
He is the sum of his fears
For he chooses what he wants to be
He has uncertainties, he has doubts
But is afraid intentionally
He tends the shades of the mighty
And the shadows of the weak
Stifling their deceit
And plugging up the leaks
He watches and learns
Trying to fit in
But he'll soon realize
It's a battle he can't win
The cycle repeats
However hard he fights
But his fate is sealed
As Watcher of the Night
The StreamIt's a place aloneThe Stream3 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Not a lonely place
With a softly whispering stream.
A basswood tree by the side
And a sea of ferns
Sway in a shared dream.
There's a pool on the edge
Where the tadpoles swim
Oblivious to the moon,
And a nest in the tree
Padded with down
That the birds will finish soon.
The still is broken
Only by the boughs
Stirring in a gentle breeze
And the tiny fish
In the clear water
Swim upstream with ease.
There's a leaf,
Now only veins
It's a delicate lace
By the whispering stream
Is a place alone
And not a lonely place.
ReflectThere was once a time I could dreamReflect3 years ago in Haiku & Eastern More Like This
I would dream every day, every hour
With the birds in the skies and the fish in the streams
But there was never a blooming flower
As I'm ageing and days grow longer,
although I can't say I'm maturing,
all my visions keep getting stronger
And they grow darker and more alluring
As fish turned into sharks and birds to hawks
The laughter of the children disappear
And all the freedom went down into locks
Dreams into fears though never she a tear
And my childhood is gone into flames
When I look back it reminds me of chains

It's always "just one more"

everything at your command

I have no choice
what else was I to do?
you say that you love me
so I'll believe that it's true.
Who knows what real love is?
maybe this is wrong
can't even control my own breath anymore
can only sing your song.
You tell me I must follow
what would happen if I don't?
"that's not an option" you say
with your hand around my throat.
I must get out of this god forsaken place
how did this go so far?
we were in love, we had it all
now there's shackles around my heart.
I'll run as fast as I can
finally out of your arms
bruised mind, scarred heart
but away from further harm.
Use to control my every move
my rise and my fall
no longer at your command
never again your little doll..

The Changing TideThe Changing Tide3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
The era is now passed through which I lived and favored,
and my patience then packs its bags for hiatus,
with which to remind me that perhaps
brighter days lie in sunny hammocks ahead.
Here and alas lays the road to that sunny setting,
upon which I walk and tread the changing tide.
The next item on the list of Fates agenda and her passionate affair with time...
the seconds will carry on like the beats of my undying heart.
The fire that burns in my eyes, through which I see is only assuaged
by the tears they produce...
the tears I produce in my longing for some peace of some sort.
Yet those tears shall only accompany the sweat of my efforts.
Once upon a time, in the dream come true through which I slept,
did a fairy tale once existů
that tale of my tale through endless times of a dream come true
and gone by in the era that I once lived and favored.

I was a canvas,
dull and white.
I was a girl,
lost, with no fight.
I saw the world
in black and gray,
keeping my feelings
As a canvas,
you held a paintbrush
a simple stroke
would make me blush.
You painted me,
recreating a heart,
leaving me with
a brand new start.
You are an artist
who painted my soul.
You are an angel
who filled my holes.

And so I tried to hold your letters
the way you used to hold my hand;
fingers spaced between torn edges and
around undotted i's.
Guiding me away
from those gentle autumn leaves that
I had loved to crunch
so very much.
But instead, I stepped against the sunspots
of every promise you had broken
trying just to pull some meaning from a sentence
ending with "goodbye".
And when my eyes began to slide over the words you had misspelled,
I closed your note
and tore it into nothing.
Nothing but a sad reminder that once again you had cracked
like those gentle autumn leaves
that I had loved
so very much.

Leave the world.
Leave everyone who loves you.
Leave your friends.
Leave your family who-believe it or not-would be miserable if you left.
Leave this beautiful world.
If you look closely, it is gorgeous.
Leave everything you once loved.
Because we obviously will never be enough for you.
We couldn't do enough.
You will never love us enough to stay.
Leave everything that once meant something to you.
And when you finally leave, think of me.
Regret ever leaving.
Wish you had said more.
Wish you had told me first.
And never come back.
Because if you do,
We won't be waiting.
We'll give you just what you gave us.

And although you forgave me,
I can't forgive myself.
I never wanted to hurt you.
I never wanted to caused you pain,
But I did and I'll never forget it.
I never loved you the way you love me,
But that doesn't mean I never cared about you.
I have always cared about you,
So it's understandable why I never forgave myself.
Everything I do affects someone in some way,
And I always seem to remember the things that hurt them.
I always think it's my fault when something turns out wrong.
I always blame myself for others getting hurt.
So you see it's not just you I feel bad about.
It's everyone that I have hurt in some way.
And now I am paying the price for something I can't fix.
Apologizing doesn't always work.
Some people are not as forgiving as you are.
I'm not proud of my past,
But I have learned from it.
I never want to hurt anyone.
I never want to cause someone pain,
But I have caused pain, and I never forgot it.
But I'm sorry for all the pain.
