ONE DAY IN BOSTONStreet photography is fickle. Some days you come home with a basket full of jewels, and others you have nothing but garbage. Being skilled at the art increases your chances, but sometimes it just isn't there. Location can make a difference, but it is no guarantee. A high density of diverse population is the ideal setting but the experienced Streeter can find art anywhere. On some rare occasions everything clicks and potential scenarios for art just roll out in front of you over and over.ONE DAY IN BOSTON3 months ago in Personal More Like This
One such day occurred for me in September of 2013. It was my first day in Boston Massachusetts with the sole agenda of shooting Street. I wouldn't say that I knew the city well, but I did know where people were guaranteed to be. Over the next several hours I would have the opportunity to make some of my best Street Photography to date. Some of the shots were easy while others required all of the meager skills that I possessed. You never know for sure what you have until you get home, but I felt i

How did I miss this?! (And no one told me?)So I'm watching Wreck-it Ralph...sort of (I want to draw Vanellope, so I needed some reference). The DVD is on silent on my computer while I watch The Daily Show and work on some plush (I'm a bit of a multi-tasker) since little Nellie-P doesn't show up for a while. I look up at just the right moment, and for a SPLIT SECOND notice this graffiti on the walls of the terminal:How did I miss this?! (And no one told me?)2 years ago in Personal More Like This
...In the theaters, I saw the "All your base" graffiti on the right, but TOTALLY MISSED THAT SHIT ON THE LEFT.
...I had said I was spitefully amused by the lack of Final Fantasy references in this Disney movie about video games, after Square went all out and made an entire video game about Disney movies.
And well, I was an asshole who misspoke, and I apologize. There was indeed a Final Fantasy reference.
I'm not sure why, since this is an arcade community, but if Leroy Jenkins can be on the wall, why not Aerith?
Well played, Disney. How the FUCK did I miss this? I've seen the movie like 80 times by now (OK 5, but wha

This issue features digital overlays, which are created by layering two or more images (including but not limited to texture and colour layers) to create a final image, mimicking the effect of exposing photographic paper to two or more negatives and/or filters during printing. This differs from photomanipulations, where elements of numerous images are separately extracted and combined to make a final image.

“When I left high school, I had all my plans to go to college, but I had no money. And I decided then, the best thing for me to do is not worry about getting money to go to college — I will educate myself. I walked down the street, I walked into a library, I would go to the library three days a week for ten years and I would educate myself. It’s all FREE, that’s the great thing about libraries! Most of you can afford to go to college, but if you wanna educate yourself completely, go to the library and educate yourself. When I was 28 years old, I graduated from Library.”

So spoke the recently departed Ray Bradbury, a seminal (possibly the seminal) American fantasy & science fiction writer. Today, aspiring sci-fi and fantasy writers study his novels and short stories as their core ed

We Love Artists' Alley
We're back at Comic-Con!
Last year, our sponsorship of Artists' Alley was a huge success. We were able to provide a more comfortable environment for the artists, display their art on huge screens over the Alley, and let people attending the convention draw with deviantART muro on fantastic digital screens. We plan to do this and more in 2012 as we take on the great pleasure of sponsoring Artists' Alley at San Diego Comic-C
Sneak peek of a new project~Obviously, I have plenty on my plate right now, what with the three personal stories I have going and the one collaboration, but my mind just never seems satisfied and I have several more story ideas lined up and ready to go. I'm just forcing myself to stick to the ones I have before I post any new ones. However~ That certainly doesn't keep me from coming up with stuff!Sneak peek of a new project~3 years ago in Personal More Like This

It doesn't have a title yet or anything, just this little intro that I whipped up real quick, but enjoy!
Rumor had it that the sky hadn't been seen in generations. The Earth had been poisoned long ago, reduced to a husk that barely sustained life. The green grass was yellowed and thin, if it grew at all. The trees that had survived and managed to live this long were twisted and gnarled, ravaged by the polluted wind and drowned in the acid rain. Buildings that had once stood proud and tall, proof of a
