My own vision of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince".
It's something between the cover and one, big illustration.

On the picture: Tom Riddle, Horace Slughorn, Ginny Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Severus Snape, Hermione Granger, Ronald Weasley, Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore. ;]

A commission for ~flyingfish98, for her daughters (who are the same age as my children). The Trio around their third year. (Obviously at the end of it).

No kidding: When I googled for picture references for Hedwig and Pigwidgeon, I got these exact same expressions. Scops owls seem to have a permanent clowning streak while snowy owls perpetually scowl. I thought it was hilarious.

Pencil, watercolour washes.

"Cedric and Cho were close to Harry too; he looked away from them so he wouldn't have to talk to them. His eyes fell instead on the girl next to Krum. His jaw dropped.
It was Hermione.
But she didn't look like Hermione at all. She had done some-thing with her hair; it was no longer bushy but sleek and shiny, and twisted up into an elegant knot at the back of her head. She was wearing robes made of a floaty, periwinkle-blue material, and she was holding herself differently, somehow - or maybe it was merely the absence of the twenty or so books she usually had slung over her back. She was also smiling - rather nervously, it was true - but the reeduction in the size of her front teeth was more noticeable than ever; Harry couldn't understand how he hadn't spotted it before. "Bellatrix was still fighing too, fifty yards away from Voldemort, and like her
master she dueled three at once: Hermione, Ginny and Luna, all battling their hardest, but
Bellatrix was equal to them, and Harry's attention was diverted as a Killing Curse shot so
close to Ginny that she missed death by an inch -
He changed course, running at Bellatrix rather than Voldemort, but before he had
gone a few steps he was knocked sideways.
