"The moon in the sky was shining dimly on the forest below. The green trees showing a hint of silver as they swayed in the calm breeze. The forest floor was littered with twigs and small branches from a recent storm that had just passed through."
"The light of a fire was barely visible through the thick foliage that surrounded it on all sides. Sitting in front of the fire were many people, each of them facing towards the fire. Little did they know that they were not alone. Lurking in the bushes was-"
"Wait a second!" The boy shook his head rapidly, making the vision of all the details he had seen disappear. Looking up from his thoughts, he saw his scout leader through the fire. His mouth was open, as if he was about to say something.
He closed his mouth for a moment before opening it again. "What is it, Daniel?"
The boy turned his head to the person sitting right next to him. The boy was Daniel, and although he was small in stature, and looked much like a toddler,
Do You Know? How close are you to the promise land?Do You Know?3 years ago in Visual & Found Poetry More Like This
Is it almost within your hand?
How close are you to getting there?
Would you go there without a care?
How close are you to finding hope?
Are you dealing with what you can not cope?
How close are you to giving up?
Are you as helpless as a newborn pup?
How far are you from your goal?
Does it come from inside your soul?
How far are you from tasks at hand?
Are they really that bland?
How far are you from your loved ones near?
Do you really want to get out of here?
How far are you from going astray?
Are things not going your way?
How many problems do you see?
Are they problems for you and me?
How many people are all around?
Do you go deaf from the sound?
How many lives do you want to live?
In how many of them would you give?
How many people are in dire need?
Would you respond to their plead?
Do you know the one above?
Is he someone you truly love?
Do you know what bothers you?
Have you lived your whole day through?
Do you know that your not alone?

Has anyone noticed, the ideas of the world?
The ideas of the family should thus be hurled (away).
Why must this be, such a horrendous gesture?
The importance of a family is for all, I pester.
One may think that their family is only,
the ones they were born to. Them and them only.
But a family is much more than your parents and brothers,
it is your relation towards others.
Your best friend is a sibling of yours,
while your very own teacher is a loved one, of course.
Your enemy, the bully, is just another friend.
You guys are just friends, on the other end!
I can not stress what importance it is,
A family to have, a family that lives.
"Love thy neighbor" is something we know,
as much as we know about the fallen snow.
When we choose to love, instead of hate,
our family is bigger and it isn't too late.
The adversary knows that a family is forever,
so, he tries his hardest to stop this endeavor.
Hold true, my friends, family, and all,
do not let the vile one let you fall.

I almost gave up searching for the right path, but he helped me find it again.
I don't believe in myself.
Yet he created me in his imagine so I must be worth something.
I feel alone.
Then I pray to him and even though he doesn't answer in words I feel him in my heart.
I may feel miles away from him.
Yet he is with me everyday.
I was bullied and cried.
I know he was there by my side and made me feel okay.
I'm scared to take a chance.
I know he did wonderful things.
So that means that I can.
Some people tell me he isn't real.
Still I believe and always will.

Heaven and Earth, God's children to send
A tree and a garden, a law and a choice
Sin and transgression, oh God hear my voice
A babe in a manger, a lamb and a Son
Justice and Mercy, God's will to be done
Perfect and blameless, He bleeds from each pore
Taking upon Him my sins evermore
A light in the darkness, the captives set free
Death and the grave He has conquered for me
Alpha Omega, beginning and end
Lord of Creation, my Savior and friend
Patient Little FlowerPatient Little Flower3 years ago in Visual & Found Poetry More Like This
A patient little flower sits on the grass,
it watched all the time as it would pass.
Waiting day and night for the one drop of rain,
just a single drop was all he needed to gain.
In order to grow, he would wait patiently,
not at all like a busy bee.
The animals that passed would laugh and laugh,
"You're silly," said a rabbit. "Don't be so daft!"
"Be patient in this very busy life?"
"You might as well suffer in your own strife!"
"We all need water, and the way we get it,
is by finding even a small water pit."
"You can't just sit there and expect it to rain,
that won't give you any small sort of gain!"
The rabbit continued laughing as it bounded off,
leaving the flower to wait for some meaningful broth.
Along came a bird with its wings a-blazing,
the look it had seemed to be crazing.
Seeing the flower, it was quite curious,
wondering if it were down right delirious.
"Do my eyes deceive me? A flower in nowhere?
What are you doing, you should go somewhere!"
The bird dropped to the ground a
