A big Thanx to everyone for your support and prayers and all your kind words. I just wanted to give everyone a quick update, I'm basically fully healed from the operations where they removed the tumor from my left hip and my lower back.
I've just been busy talking to the Docs and I also recieved a new scan this week. They wanted to see how I've healed and check for any new growths. The good news is that I'm clear and the spots they operated look good overall. They did say that I have two spots on my liver that they will be watching, there not sure what they are yet, but my scans down the road will help determine that if they do start going, but they could just end up being tissue on the liver.
I also finally found out about the chemo. I had been waiting on that news. It's been approved and I should start it next week. The good news it won't be as long as the last dose I recieved, which was 5 days a week and 6hrs a day. Which is good news. Since I'm taking the chemo to prevent new growths, they just don't need to give me as much. I like hearing that, the previous dose would knock me out for the day.
The new scan also followed up the news of my spine being clear like I mentioned in the previous journal. I do have spots on my 6th and 9th vertebrae, but they don't appear to be related to cancer.
Now that my hip is doing well, I'm walking again without the cain a lot of times. It feels good to be moving around on my own and I just pretty much use the cain when I'm in a crowd outside the house. I'll have some more art up soon. I'm playing catch up on commissions and my other workload.
I'll keep the updates coming after the chemo begins, as for the radiation treatment, they are still not sure on how much I'll get of that. The idea right now is to just treat the areas I had operated on recently so that if they are any cancer cells in those spots, they can just concentrate on them without damaging anything else.
Thanx again to everyone for all the great support as I continue this battle. You guys and my family help keep me strong as I continue to kick this cancer's ass all over the place. It's hard to believe it's been two years since it began, but I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and total victory will be soon, I can feel it. As for the War, the current battle total is Chad 5, Cancer 0
