We're sponsoring Artists' Alley 2012!
We're headed to Comic-Con International:
San Diego to sponsor Artists' Alley!
We Love Artists' Alley
We're back at Comic-Con!
Last year, our sponsorship of Artists' Alley was a huge success. We were able to provide a more comfortable environment for the artists, display their art on huge screens over the Alley, and let people attending the convention draw with deviantART muro on fantastic digital screens. We plan to do this and more in 2012 as we take on the great pleasure of sponsoring Artists' Alley at San Diego Comic-C

CosPlay RantI don't normally get this frustrated, but the only way I know how to get it all out is through a rant, so here we go!CosPlay Rant1 year ago in Personal More Like This
So basically, it all started when I found this picture of a cosplay on FaceBook --> https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=753311524686851&set=a.233699909981351.65111.158688090815867&type=1
It's a really good cosplay of the characters Rei, Saeko, and Shizukawa from the famous anime Highschool Of The Dead (HOTD), but as I scrolled through the comments I got more and more frustrated. Why? Because of most of the girls saying that it wasn't "real cosplay" and that the woman should be trying to look like anime girls instead of skanks.
Excuse me? HOTD is an ECCHI - full of big boobs, erotic scenes, and skimpy clothing. What are these three girls doing wrong in their cosplay? NOTHING! That's a great representation of the girls in the series, and I personally think they did an amazing job!
Another thing that pisses me off is when girls do a gender-bent cospl

Need Ideas For My Next Premium Content Thing :3So, for my next project I'm thinking of doing a collection of mini-content.Need Ideas For My Next Premium Content Thing :31 year ago in Personal More Like This
Things like looped animations, interactive characters, and simple scenarios. So, less focus on story and more focus on variety and characters.
I'm planning on focusing mostly on a particular theme (maybe vore or size stuff).
Anyways, if anyone out there has a particular scenario you might be interested in, let me know. Just keep any suggestions simple.. like...
"Giant Batgirl stomps Poison Ivy" or...
"Peach vores tiny Mario"
RobocopRemakes. We all have different ideas of what they should be like. How much should it reflect the original? Should it be the same story with tweaks and updated effects? Should it be a new story with the same premise? Should it try to stretch the original idea thin, or should it ask you the same questions?Robocop1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Personally, I view a remake of a movie I liked much the same way I view a new Batman series, or so on. Show me what you can do with what you have, and I will judge it thus.
Robocop(2014), I give a passing grade. First, the big issues:
Yes, they play the theme song. A little.
No, the black redesign does not look like a gimp suit, and no, it is not an out of universe attempt to appease the Darker and Edgier crowd. It is an in-universe change meant to foreshadow the control the corporation has over Murphey's being, by choosing a new look for him. What the film treats as his "true" look is much closer to the original design.
Yes, they use some CGI for some scenes. Yes, they also use lots o
Top Five Showa Era Godzilla FilmsHi gang, I said I was gonna do it, and so I have, I have compiled a Top Five List for what I consider to be the best Showa era Godzilla films! Well, okay, I was originally planning to do a top ten list, but then I realized the Showa era is in fact comprised of exactly fifteen films in all, so if I did do a top ten list I'd be favoring the entire series minus five unlucky films XD. Heck, the Heisei & Millennium eras are even shorter, so I can't do a top ten for them either, or even a top five sadly lol. So I decided to keep things simple and narrow things down to two Top Five lists, one for the Showa era and one for the "Modern Era," basically combining the Heisei & Millennium eras together into one. Now yes, the Heisei era comprises all the 80s & 90s films, so they're not technically modern (though their effects easily rival anything the Millennium has cooked up), but since I was born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s & am now an adult in the 21st century, I'm just gonnTop Five Showa Era Godzilla Films1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Godzilla - new photosIts almost time for Godzilla's return, but Toho still isn't allowing any official trailers to be released. I found a small video about photos taken on the film set of the new Godzilla to show you guys. some of these pics are old but some are new.Godzilla - new photos1 year ago in Personal More Like This
There is also rumors that there might be a new Godzilla game that'll be released after the movie. but of course you wont have any luck finding any trailers on it. if Toho isn't allowing any movie trailers then they certainly wont allow game trailers. but if there is going to be another Godzilla game, I don't know if it'll be another fighter game like Godzilla Unleashed or if it'll be an entirely new game.
All we can do is wait...
Super offerQuaintsville California, 3:00 am, A shining little gem of a city even in the light of the moon, the gleam of the buildings shining against the street lights like metal diamonds. A credit to their architects being able to make a humble little city stand out like a sprawling metropolis. A female figure floated above the city, eyes scanned down at the buildings, her frame gliding like shadows past the windows and slipping past the nooks and cranny's of the buildings; They were looking for something, looking for someone. Someone important. She gathered herself at a window, wide with curtains blowing, a messy exit, obviously whoever was in it wasn't there anymore and was in a hurry. Covered in the shadows she slipped inside, her feet not touching the floor but more or less floating across the floor boards. In the room were posters of superheroes, action figures sprawled on a desk and a bed that didn't know the definition of the word fixed. Obviously, a child's room, but that didn't matter, whSuper offer1 year ago in Personal More Like This
What inspired your OC?This is a question for those who own a OC.What inspired your OC?2 years ago in Personal More Like This
What inspired you to create the OC's you own today? did you see something you liked and it inspired you to make a character? or did you make your OC because you simply wanted one?
My first OC, Naxon was actually based off of me in the very first attempt. his original name was supposed to be Connor. (but that's not my real name. I just liked that name) then worked over into a DBZ character (because I love DBZ) the reworked into a Kingdom Hearts OC while keeping the DBZ style.
My second OC, Xegito was inspired by a few anime women.
Who ever this is
These 2 girls inspired her original design. mostly the mystery girl in the top image. I just loved her so much. then these girls came along and inspired something new.
And also a girl named Beby, the giantess from an anime with a long and forgettable name.
My 3rd OC, Xota... well... as I said, I just wante

GODZILLA: RULERS OF EARTH update - new monster!UPDATE! Check this page for the first issue solicitations...and a NEW MONSTER IS REVEALED for the first issue!GODZILLA: RULERS OF EARTH update - new monster!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
So...yeah, this happened
Chris Mowry and I are teaming the hell up to bring you GODZILLA: RULERS OF EARTH.
It's a crazy monsteriffic romp through a new world where monsters vie for territorial dominance. And yes, to re-emphasize, I'll be doing covers AND interiors. I'm also helping our scribe a bit with the story
It's really a thrill to finally be doing interiors on not only an ongoing series, but a GODZILLA series at that! Color me tickled pink!
Expect some really amazing monster battles, some twists and turns, some great characters, and plenty of juicy G-Fan nods and goodness!
And yes, PLEASE go out and preorder this!

Durontus Rising Pencils and Inks done! Finally. I've completed the pencils and inks for my first full, cover to cover book, written by Scott R. Schmidt. My wife, Sara Sowles will more than likely handle color and I know she's on board for letters. Once we get everything squared away, Scott and I plan on pitching the book to various small publishers to see if we can get someone interested in publishing and distributing it. If that fails, we're still gonna self publish everything.Durontus Rising Pencils and Inks done!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Honestly, the book reads great from beginning to end, and there is potential for a great multi-arc story. We've come up with a lot of really interesting ideas that take the sea monster down a very mythical and almost folklorish path.
There is little competition for IDW's Godzilla books out there, and I started writing this in 2008, before their current comics. I think that Durontus Rising has something to offer giant monster fans, classic movie lovers and anyone looking for a non 'super-hero' book. &
Want to build the Golden Age?I have to make this quick so sorry for any typo's in advance.Want to build the Golden Age?2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I think we should build the history of the Golden age of Angel Falls but I can only think of two ways to do that....
1. anyone who wants to could create a Golden Age character and connect it to a character in the present. That one is easy.
2. A time traveler screwed up and sent all of the Heroes and Villains of the city back to...I don't know 1932 or something. As a way to hide in the open with out revealing who they are. Everyone create new identities as Golden Age Heroes until they can fix the timeline.
This would revolve a big story line and would be an event so that one more difficult.
Just a couple of ideas I had. What do you think.
Turn Based Combat.I picked up XCom: Enemy Unknown yesterday, and it suddenly struck me that this is the first turn-based strategy (computer/video) game I've played in years.Turn Based Combat.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
They seemed to go out of style about a decade ago, which is a real shame, especially on the RPG front.
Two of my all time favourite games are Shining Force 2 and Skies of Arcadia, both of which featured turn-based combat and felt epic as a result.
But with action games taking a fore of late, everything just felt like it had started to become a rush. You never have time to savour anything anymore. The character designs, the music, the monsters, the setting. With a turn based combat you can take your time and enjoy it all, and, most importantly, when you fail you KNOW it was your fault, not a shoddy camera angle or sluggish controls.
I think that's why the last squad-based RPG I played was Final Fantasy XII, which introduced Real Time Battles. Don't get me wrong, it worked really well, but I just felt it wasn't as

So I open the floor to the people for any suggestions about characters, whether in Angel Falls or not, that would be a fun team-up or match up for a future commission piece.
Thanks for the input.

How have you been? Doin' alright?
We never talk anymore, y'know? You've grown, you've changed, and so have I. But I'm confident we can still be friends. We can still be close. We can still get drunk and pee off the interstate, like we used to.
SO. What I'm here to do is catch everyone up on what's what!
Firstly, yes, I'm still working with IDW on their Godzilla comics, mostly covers on their current ongoing. There's a fantastic-looking mini coming out this August titled HALF-CENTURY WAR that you all need to buy.
Why? Well, besides that it looks AMAZING, it also will mean that, if the numbers are up, the chances of me doing more interior work skyrockets
Let's see...OH! DINOSAURS VS. ALIENS hits store shelves tomorrow. So...go get that.
The Legends trade also hit stores last week. Go get that too. RIGHT NOW.
There's all sorts of new, exciting stuff coming down the pipe as well. Including another big project that I've been working on with :iconspartanhead: - keep y

So about American Hero... (love this image )So about American Hero...3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've been pondering what to do with everyone's favorite flag-waving, patriotic superheroine...or if you prefer under-handed, bigoted supervillainess. or anti-hero...some call her an anti-hero like Venom I suppose...Should she actually win the governorship and become a political nightmare for Soviet Superwoman (and some would argue most of Angel Falls...but then some would see her as a voice of reason...)? Should she lose and get taken down a peg by someone like Connie or Maia? Or maybe she loses and tries to become an actual heroine...though some would argue she already is...or perhaps she embraces the side of her genetic make-up designed by Ilsa and grows more and more powerful, fulfilling her destiny of surpassing Genocide in strength, mass and durability. It's all very confusing.
Anyone out there want to join in the discussion about Angel Falls most controversial (or at least up there) figure?
Motorcity on Disney XDHey!Motorcity on Disney XD3 years ago in Personal More Like This
So I can finally talk about and promote what I've been working on for the last 9 nine months. It's also the reason I haven't been active very much no here lately and not posting much of my own works.
Titmouse's own show called Motorcity will be airing on Disney XD at the end of April. It's a really cool action show, that we're all very passionate about and we believe it'll really excite kids about action cartoons again! My role on the show is doing the special fx. Specifically, I'm drawing on my vast knowledge of the anime FX from the late 80's and also drawing from the kinetic/dynamic fx you'd see in anime's such as FLCL.
Sadly, I can't tell you details yet. I can share this online/app game that is fun to play and promotes the show: So Do What I Do!

Okay, so you all know Garasharp, correct? The giant cobra-like beast and secret mother from the unproduced 1972 film "Gamera vs Garasharp"?
Well, it turns out that she's AN IMPOSTER! And the true monster that Gamera was supposed to battle in that film has been locked up in her basement this entire time!
Alright, needlessly dark humor aside (and explanation forthcoming).
The fantastic blog-site Cool Ass Cinema has been doing nothing but Japanese movie monster-related reviews and articles for a little under a month now, in preparation for the upcoming "Godzilla" (2014). And one of their more unique posts, is an expansive article based on two unproduced Daiei monster epics; "Giant Beast Horde Nezura" (1962-1964) and "Gamera vs Two-H
Story Index, part 5 (with other stuff)So before you read the next story index, let me apologize for not responding to notes and comments for a day or so. I had to go to the ER yesterday as I woke up with no hearing in my left ear. At all. After waiting close to four hours they finally saw me and discovered I had an ear infection coupled with impaction (that's a nice way of saying hard wax plugged my ear; never use q-tips kiddies). They got out what they could, but not everything so I still can't hear out of one side of my head (with throws off lots of stuff and makes one generally miserable). I have special drops I am taking 4 times a day so hopefully I'll be back to 100% soon.Story Index, part 5 (with other stuff)10 months ago in Personal More Like This

Dirty Angels game blogSo I've started a development blog for a little game I'm making on my own called "Dirty Angels". It's a cutesy spin off from Blade Kitten starting Kit and Justice in a side scrolling arcade game. You know the kind you used to get in the arcades - like Rolling Thunder and Bade Dudes vs the Dragon Ninja. Nothing too complex since I'm probably going to do it all myself.Dirty Angels game blog1 year ago in Personal More Like This
On the blog I'm posting stuff as I do it and trying to document the mess that I call game development. You'll see a lot of stuff that marketing avoids showing you because it's a) not sexy and b) not interesting to most people. But if you want to see how a 20 year veteran of allsizes of games goes about making a game on it's own you might find it interesting - or just sad. Whatever. I'm having fun with it and updating regularly with all sorts of stuff.
