We're sponsoring Artists' Alley 2012!
We're headed to Comic-Con International:
San Diego to sponsor Artists' Alley!
We Love Artists' Alley
We're back at Comic-Con!
Last year, our sponsorship of Artists' Alley was a huge success. We were able to provide a more comfortable environment for the artists, display their art on huge screens over the Alley, and let people attending the convention draw with deviantART muro on fantastic digital screens. We plan to do this and more in 2012 as we take on the great pleasure of sponsoring Artists' Alley at San Diego Comic-C

Take a look in the CONTEST FOLDER to see the latest Entries: http://scratchtastic.deviantart.com/gallery/32431886
Info on the contest is below if you missed it the previously.
That's right everyone. The FIRST MANAWORLD art contest. This one to coincide with what is happening in the MANAWORLDCOMICS (just add a .com on there to find the page) webcomic.
Syx, our hapless heroine, has just found out that her CURSED MANACLES have some special properties, one of them the ability to create different costumes. However, they all look like, and I quote, "something a prostitute would wear!"
So if she wanted to look like a cop for example the costume would be too tight, skirt would be too short, and so forth.
Now MANAWORLD is a Fantasy setting, but you can take some liberties
COSPLAY MAKEUP TUTORIAL!Hi guys!! Thank you as always to all watchers and everyone who faves and comments - I'm so sorry I don't have much time these days to reply to everything, but I definitely do read and appreciate them all!COSPLAY MAKEUP TUTORIAL!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've been asked so many times I've lost count to put together a makeup tutorial on how I do my cos makeup - and I finally did it!
I hope this is a little helpful, although some disclaimers - I have Caucasian features, so my makeup will be very different to someone with a different face shape. I use a lot of eyemakeup, much more than a lot of people, just because I do lol. My eyes a pretty big naturally, so I line them right up the edge, as opposed to widening the eye by drawing further out. A few things like that to bear in mind ^_^ That said, hope you enjoy! *chu*
Any questions please feel free to ask!
CosPlay RantI don't normally get this frustrated, but the only way I know how to get it all out is through a rant, so here we go!CosPlay Rant1 year ago in Personal More Like This
So basically, it all started when I found this picture of a cosplay on FaceBook --> https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=753311524686851&set=a.233699909981351.65111.158688090815867&type=1
It's a really good cosplay of the characters Rei, Saeko, and Shizukawa from the famous anime Highschool Of The Dead (HOTD), but as I scrolled through the comments I got more and more frustrated. Why? Because of most of the girls saying that it wasn't "real cosplay" and that the woman should be trying to look like anime girls instead of skanks.
Excuse me? HOTD is an ECCHI - full of big boobs, erotic scenes, and skimpy clothing. What are these three girls doing wrong in their cosplay? NOTHING! That's a great representation of the girls in the series, and I personally think they did an amazing job!
Another thing that pisses me off is when girls do a gender-bent cospl

XCOM Best strategy game ever! (And game tips)Late night Journal I know...XCOM Best strategy game ever! (And game tips)3 years ago in Personal More Like This
A couple of days ago I've gotten my hands on XCOM: UFO Defense, now I usually dont play Strategy games(And I REALLY dont like them either) but it's actually alot of fun. It takes alot of concentration and decision making to play this game(Duh, it is a "Strategy Game" after all)... one thing though is that, sometimes, it can be quite difficult, so save often! The Aliens might try to come at you in huge forces, and your really gonna be in a bad spot, if you dont have the equipment nessessary to take them down, I usually just speed up the time so my Research can be done just like that, but you should always, and I cant stress this enough, always use your time wisely, becuase when your doing nothing but waiting for the next mission to happen you might not be as prepared as you thought... Also, always make teams of two or three people, you might run out of Time Units just as soon as you spot an alien so a buddy with a full set of Time Units might be able to take

She panted as she rushed through the darkened hallways! Pushing open each door that she passed! The candles lining the walls of the hall produced an eerie orange and crimson glow.
"Where are you!?" she gasped as she opened yet another door! Running down the hallway, her pink hair flailing in the wind! She was obviously concentrated on finding someone. She kept running down the hall, another one of her team mates following her. His raven hair and cold coal black e
