You can use anything you want as long as you credit to Ryuu Lavitz and link to [link]. If you want the full version (high quality) shoot me a message and I'll email it to you! If you use my work for anything, I'd LOVE to see what you've created, and more than likely, I will feature your art! Thanks ^^
1st shown entry of the FEZ Scout her bow signifies the two legendary beings the Pheonix and the Dragon. I wanted the bg to appear forest-y and the glowing lights can be the fire-y attributes from the Pheonix bow.
Process: - sketched and inked with G-tech pen and a .5 gel pen - scanned - colored in Gimp with mouse (well yeah XD )
i've been working on this all the past week! i'm a bit sad 'cause i thought i came up with something original and found out someone had come up with the same idea.
anyway, i'm glad i'm made it, 'cause it's been a while since i'd last worked on something like this (pencils sketches and all).
btw, i choose the caterpillar for only one reason: i'm as asocial as he/it is. YES. i feel quite close to the character, i can't explain much more clearly: he's asocial, dreamer, maybe even idealistic, easily annoyed, can't take stupidity or rather ignorance, wants to share but is unable too and has a lot of other temper issues. (...reading this, i think i've issues too. XD""")
about the drawing in itself, let's say it's kind of a Frazetta tribute (r.i.p.) considering the woman's body and curves (i can't consider this being me, it's too strange). i tried to give the same "fleshy" feeling. but regardless of this, it may be way too obvious that i'm totally into art nouveau and Arthur Rackham's works.
well...not much more to say...it's was long and hard to do, but i had a real nice time doing this. hope you'll enjoy.
oh yes and...the title comes from the incredibly awesome song of Cocorosie's new album. <3
My entry for the Tomb Raider Reborn Contest. The title is a play on the official tagline "A Survivor Is Born," which I used as my concept for this drawing. Really, Lara has become so iconic over the years that she is truly a legend...
The story of the game is how Lara transforms from a frighten young woman into a fierce fighter and survivor. I used a cave and water setting as that could be plausible for a scene from the game, and also because caves and deep water are traditionally symbolic of death, rebirth and self discovery.
Upon watching the trailer, the game seemed to have a gritty, edgy sort of feel to it. I tried to convey/interpret this with rough linework, detailing and colouring methods that departs a bit from my norm. I could have played it safe, but I thought it was in the spirit of the competition to push my comfort zone
This painting is for a Diablo three Deviant Art contest, and show a lighter moment with the barbarian character. I wanted to do something different then the typical bad-ass warrior pose, so I drew the her washing the blood and gore from her armor after a long night of dungeon crawling.
