We're sponsoring Artists' Alley 2012!
We're headed to Comic-Con International:
San Diego to sponsor Artists' Alley!
We Love Artists' Alley
We're back at Comic-Con!
Last year, our sponsorship of Artists' Alley was a huge success. We were able to provide a more comfortable environment for the artists, display their art on huge screens over the Alley, and let people attending the convention draw with deviantART muro on fantastic digital screens. We plan to do this and more in 2012 as we take on the great pleasure of sponsoring Artists' Alley at San Diego Comic-C

Have you ever been inspired, and I mean truly?
I know a lot of times we forget that deep feeling that comes up when we watch see or hear something truly wonderful, the thing that touches our hearts in the most tender way.
For me it's whenever I hear the song, "Brothers" which I know a lot of people might have said before, but for me there's just no taking that magic away from it, no matter how many times you hear it or have heard people talk about it.
I think in that way a lot of the Anime we watch is not just because it's fun and inviting, or that it's unique and interesting. A lot of why we love Anime is for those subtle emotions that come along with it, that's a lot of what makes Fullmetal Alchemist stand out, all those tender moments that really strike a cord with us and inspire us to create.
It's not just that Series but in a lot of other ones in the genera, Dragon Ball Z is intimidating but will surprise you. The joy of fiction and imagination is it flows so
Review: Alto Saotome uniform from MicCostumesHey, guys! Sorry I still haven't been able to update about Tux Team's recent cosplay adventures! As some of you might know, I really like to take my time to write those out. February turned out to be way busier than I expected! But hey, at least my gallery is getting updated a lot more this year!Review: Alto Saotome uniform from MicCostumes3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Nowadays I like to make little blog posts and share snapshots on my Tumblr behindinfinity.tumblr.com If you like, you could follow me there too.
I've still got a lot of messages and emails to answer. (Especially yours, Rez!) Sorry to keep you all waiting! I really just find it difficult to write letters when I can't give my full attention. Loooots to do nowadays. I'm very thankful, but I do wish I also had more time to write journal entries.
I've got a little something to share right now, though!

So...You Want To Be A (cosplay) Photographer?Ladies and Gentlemen, due to an overwhelming response of "Yes" on one of my latest polls (I think it was something like 35-3 in favor), I'm going to write this journal about my experiences when it comes to photography, and, in all honesty, a majority of it will be aimed at cosplay photography given that that is what I have done the most of since I decided to get a bit more serious about photography. I also feel like it is very important to say that I'm not at all, in any way, saying that this is the "right" way of doing things. What I write about in this journal, and what I say are my own opinions, formed from 4 years and multiple conventions/outside shoots worth of experience. You all are more than welcome to agree or disagree with me, and I invite you to share your thoughts in the comments section, as well as ask me any questions you might have (PLEASE keep it respectful, folks).So...You Want To Be A (cosplay) Photographer?2 years ago in Personal More Like This

For years, we've been getting requests from the community asking for the ability to change usernames. We realize that as an artist, it's important to give you the ability to change your personal brand, just as you change your interests, skills, and art types.
How It Works
Deviants can now change their username in their Settings. To change your username, you must have an active Premium Membership. (The reason there is a "fee" associated with the change is because switching usernames is a complex technical proce

Yes, it's summer my dear Thundercats. A time for fun and exciting trips and ACTION! I was thinking about doing a contest. However, i fear i must inform you that I've not quite sure how to run them. In light of this, I'm (again) looking for members (and big time T-cats fans) who are willing to assist me. You know, some admins to keep me from side-tracking. ;3
I need people who are interested in helping and I need to know if people are interested in participating in a friendly contest. I know some clubs are going crazy with their contests so if you guys are up for it- what the heck.

I am too untalented to make prints / artbook / adopts / comic / etc.Actually, the best time to do something you're bad at is when you're bad at it! Everyone starts playing piano when they're young and suck shit, but by the time they are older, they can play beautifully! You don't want to be that 30 yr old who doesn't know how to but wants to play the piano because he was too scared to make gross music in the beginning. This is the BEST time to start making a comic (for example) because it will help you improve in that area that you will need to be better at! How can you be better at making comics in 5 years if you never tried to learn formatting, text, thumbnails, character development / whatever you need? You will be in the same place you are 5 years from now

Food. Polymer clay food. There's a strange fascination between polymer clay crafters to make food, if you ask many of us won't even be able to explain what's so addictive about making fake food. Some of it is crafted for doll houses and doll props, some people make beautiful jewelry with food, but some just make it because it's so incredibly fun.
