THE NEXT THREE YEARS OF MY LIFE
I had received a job offer at Microsoft. I guess this could have been one of my first 'big time' jobs, so I was a little ecstatic. It felt like a slow build to get to this point, after numerous indie games and under the table freelance jobs, but finally it had come.
I was working with my now best friend and business partner, Stephan, a suave German who I had met only a year or so prior. He had brought me into the fray, working with several other individuals who will, well, simply be known as individuals for privacy sake.
But yes, finally, I could put a professional company I

Anything anyone would like me to bring back?I'm in a semi-creative mood this week. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas worth sharing or wanted to see me bring back an old character for a render or two? Or see any series continued? No guarantee I'll do it, it's just nice to have my memory jogged about things I may have forgotten. Original scenario ideas are good too. Nothing like "a lady sitting holding someone!" something original that I haven't done yet.Anything anyone would like me to bring back?2 months ago in Personal More Like This
Currently I'm planning on a Nature Goddess pic and continuing A City of Supers. That's all.
Also commissions are NOT open. I've been getting quite a few notes asking after I removed that sentence from my journal! ^^'

Been thinking and stuff...Howdy all,Been thinking and stuff...2 months ago in Personal More Like This
I've been thinking lately that perhaps now is a good time to start accepting commissions. I'll start out small, of course. Maybe 5 or 10 cheap ones, but then the question "what's my skill and time really worth?" comes to mind. I don't want to set ridiculous prices when first starting out but I don't want to feel like my artwork is almost worthless either. What to do, what to do?
I figure it like this, I'l charge by complexity of the piece but I won't charge over $50. I think that's fair.
What do you guys think?
Have a look through my newer work, or think back to my newer work, and let me know how I should go about this.
As a future game designer/concept artist, I need to broaden my horizons and get some exposure! EXPOSURE!

The California surfboarder has been the symbol of youthful rebellion and non–conformal lifestyles since the 1950s. The siren call of a unique experience tinged with great danger, an ever–tempting “rush” for American males, has always made surfers and surfing the subjects of “freedom” themed photography and paintings.
But what of land–locked urban youth with no ocean access? The skateboard was originally invented by surfers to have something to do when waves were flat. It wasn’t until the 1970s that these surfboards–with–wheels took on their unique identity as a separate pastime and competi

The Battle of Five Armies has some of the most impressive CGI/practical fantasy effects I've ever seen. The armor, the locations, the clothing, the props...all excellently and believably crafted. The acting is fine. The music is fine. The directing, the choreography, some of the choices made that were not in line with the book were still logical and intelligent (such as the men of Laketown arming themselves with the weapons of ruined Dale and dwarves fighting in a shield phalanx.)
But for every decent idea, great set, awesome effect or exciting battle there was strung throughout this really disconcerting trend of either not trusting the audience to get subtlety or having no sense of restraint. Nothing in this film with very few exceptions was just allowed to function. A battle wasn't a battle until it was WAY too complicated. Single combat isn't enough it needs to take place on a collapsing bridge formed of a tower propped between a cliff! P

Obscure Kaiju: Hades God CyclopsWell, I already featured two attractive female members of the Infershia Pantheon, so might as well share one of the eight other male members.Obscure Kaiju: Hades God Cyclops3 months ago in Personal More Like This
And if you think it’s going to be boring and unsexy, I have three words for you all…Cybernetic Cyclops Sniper
From the 2005-2006 Super Sentai series ”Mahou Sentai Magiranger”, Hades God Cyclops was the sharpshooter among the ten Pantheon titans; a giant cyclops in robotic body-armor, who wielded a mystical sniper rifle, complete with a bayonet.
He was also armed with different ammunition for different magical effects, such as a red one which allowed him to cause anything he shot to disappear, in a cloud of red energy.
Cyclops is also one of the most calm and composed of the Infershia Pantheon, re-claiming composure quickly, even if he were to get angry. When this happens, his infrared eye blinks and he strokes his chin to calm himself down.

”Alien degli Abissi” (”Alien from the Deep”) is a 1989 action-horror-monster movie, involving a chemical plant on a tropical island, who dumps their toxic waste in an active volcano. Two environmentalists try to expose these illegal activities, but they get caught by hired vigilantes working for the company.
The female environmentalist of the duo, manages to escape the bad guys, and is saved by a snake farmer who lives alone in the jungle. Together, they try to bring down the company, however…
Years of chemical poisoning have attracted a gigantic 70-foot-tall alien monster, who's crab-clawed tentacle and brain damaging acid ‘fluids’ (no, not like that!), begins attacking hero and villain alike, from beneath the ground. Both sides eventually join forces against the Alien from the Deep, who finally reveals its full form during the climax.

When I was a child, shows like ”Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World” and often nightmarish ”Secrets of the Unknown” fascinated me, as well as being among the few paranormal programs on television back in the very early 1990’s.
Today however, the airwaves are so littered with such shows, and unlike my childhood examples above, are done with less class or respectability.
Yeah...the Big Foot episode of ”Secrets of the Unknown” was hokey, with an extended ‘what if’ scenario of the legendary primate, finally meeting his doom at the hands of hunters. But at least they didn't make a whole series out of the concept. And presented as a ‘reality-based documentary’ at that!
Obscure Kaiju: DonDon and ToshioOnly in ”Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger” will you find such weird insanity like these two! From episode 14 of said series, ”Become Small” (May 29th, 1992), arrives DonDon and his buddy, Toshio!Obscure Kaiju: DonDon and Toshio3 months ago in Personal More Like This
Fairy DonDon is an elf who applies for a job to be apart of Bandora’s Gang (Rita Repulsa and her crew in ”Power Rangers”), but is forcefully rejected.
While on Earth (Tokyo, Japan), DonDon meets a kindred spirit in Toshio, a boy who gets frequently picked on by both bullies, and his overly-strict mother. They become friends and go around shrinking and entrapping things into DonDon’s magic bottles - including planes and buildings with people still inside.
Eventually Bandora recruits the troubled misfits, and turns them both into giants, to cause more mayhem. And that’s when Toshio goes postal...agains

Not only is he an incredible artist, capable of churning out masterpieces in record time, but he is also a fantastic writer, a fellow follower and lover of military history, and an all-around great guy. Firstly, there's GODZILLA: HERITAGE - this one's been kicking around for a while, and there's only a little bit of time left in the campaign. BUT, if they can pull down a few thousand more, they can get this extremely cool-looking fanfilm made. The monster suits are being built by Rashaad Santiago (of SyFy's FACE OFF), and features both Godzilla and Anguirus. Go scope it out and let's try and make their goal, eh? I'll be producing a poster for the project later this year.
UPDATE - G Heritage has a second Kickstarter with a slightly more in-reach goal to make. Go donate now!
Next, there's a great documentary being produced by Kaijucast called HAIL TO THE KING: 60 YEARS OF DESTRUCTION. The idea is to produ

Sexiest Female Game Characters (in my opinion)Compiled for no real reason other than that I felt like making a list. Might do some fan art, tooSexiest Female Game Characters (in my opinion)1 year ago in Personal More Like This
List is in order of appearance:
Princess Daphne (Dragon’s Lair, 1983)
Daphne is a cliché, blonde damsel in distress, yes, but she’s a cliché, blonde damsel in distress that was animated by Don Bluth, who had a stack of Playboy magazines on hand while he was drawing her.
Tyris Flare (Golden Axe, 1989)
Like a Frank Frazetta pic come to life….and then dressed in a bright white bikini by the Censors.
Also: That 360 game of hers really wasn’t that bad.
Blaze Fielding (Streets of Rage 2, 1992)
At some point between Streets of Rage 1 and Streets of Rage 2, Blaze must have washed her costume at the wrong temperature, because there’s a lot less of it. The horror.
Cammy (Super Street Fighter 2, 1993)
Chun Li had legs. Cammy has LEEEEEGS. And a perpetual wedgie.
Felicia (Darkstalkers, 1994)
C’mon. It’s me.
