Now, the whole artwork of Altair with a golden eagle is finished. Or better to say: With a golden eagle army? After playing all the assassins Creed games I came to the conclusion, that Altair ibn La-Ahad always will be my favourite character!
For a better detail of his face: [link] Enjoy and comment! I would appreciate that!
Finally I did an artwork with Ezio. I dunno, what came over me to do this, although Ezio is my third-place-character after Altair and Connor. But to be honest, this artwork and a few fanfictions brought him closer to my heart. I dedicate this artwork to because of her great fanfictions that previously inspired me a lot ... and because of her love for Ezio ... ... and to all those, who requested a pairing with Ezio. I longtime was not sure about the background, whether it sould be day or night. I ended up doing an afternoon background in Venice where Ezio and Rosa are kissing on a balcony. BTW, Venice is a fantastic place to be. I have been there twice. The atmosphere there is bewitching and fascinating.
I dunno, why i just draw Connor that way. Maybe I am a little bit bloodthirsty, maybe I chatted a little bit to long with a friend (she has a real crush on that guy), maybe I have read too much fanfictions or I wanted to keep alive the feeling, that this game will arrive in a few days ... yes, I am still waiting for the PC-Version ...Gaaaah!
Connor is about to kill someone, he not even had the time to dress completely. As if he heard kinda gut-wrenching noise of a guy or a woman in need, that he has to react straight away. So, what he then is looking at in the tent makes him furious. Connor does not just kill - but does so with uncommon brutal grace. Not the grace of god, but the grace of death. I like that black gaze in the shadow of his hood ...
I know, his face looks not that native. Iguess i probably draw him better, after I have played the game and captured the full presence of connor. To draw is to experience first (to me). But I couldn't wait to do this piece of Connor ... Actually I tried drawing rain and my intention was doing that immediatly digital instead of doing a sketch first.
This Artwork was longtime in my mind. A naval warfare one. Connor and Haytham - Assassin and Templar - are working together! Poor Benjamin Church! BTW, Sequence 9 of AC3 is my absolute favorite part of the game.
"Our interests are aligned" ... but how long?
This was a perspective challenge for me. I guess, here and there I could do adjustments, but at some point you have come to an end. It took me far to long to do it, but I hope it was worth the effort and you enjoy it!
After playing AC Revelations I was obsessed with the idea of creating an artwork of Altair with a golden eagle. I am still on it, but this image section i liked that much, that I decided to share in full resolution here on deviantart. The artwork with the eagle is much bigger and i will also submit it here next time. For now enjoy this portrait of Altair Ibn La'Ahad! (By the way, I wanted to draw the facial expression of the original Altair Model, Fransisco Randez)
Finally I did it! My first AC Black Flag Fanart with a furious Edward, who is up to kill a Traitor - Benjamin Hornigold. My first sketch for this I did in April, but now I got the right inspiration, mood and muse to do the coloring. This time I wanted to do an artwork with movement - a fighting scene. Hope, you'll like it!
NO SPOILERS IN THE COMMENTS, PLEASE! I am still playing the game ( I am in sequence 7), so I would appreciate when u post no spoilers. Thank you!
I totally fall in love with a photo a few days ago. And suddenly there was an idea born. And this is the result of it, an artwork with Connor and Aveline kissing. I loved the idea of making a couple scene, because noone else did one with that two until now. So I decided to do so. Maybe it's a intimate date after a battle and they couldn't wait to rip each others clothes off.
So imagine yourself, what would happen next ... and ... enjoy it!
EDIT:In consequence of a few problems I decided to close comments. Now I give it a try and open it again!
Here I will give a few reasons, for why I did close the comments here for a while:
Many deviants complain about the fact, that I used a photo as reference to do that picture... what is correct. I never denied this. At the beginning I posted a link to that photo. Then a handful people where bothered by it, how I can do so, although I have asked the photographer for permission! So, no matter if I post a link or not, they are bothered, too. So I decided to close comments.
But I want to remind those people by something: So many people use reference for their art also here on deviantart (and also highskilled artists, I know from here), the others only don't know, that there are photos for reference used, even traced, because this photos are not from deviantart and everyone sighed "AH" and "OH" and have lack of knowledge. Reference is for learning, practising to get better. Even Leonardo Da Vinci did this. I know a lot of users here, who do this and don't comment that rude as some do/did here.
Well, these days I got the feeling. it is some kind of sport to turn down other artists. Must be very satisfying to spread gossip! A grown up would ask me directly in a note, but I know the "gossip-way" is so much easier. And it is so much more fun! And it works fabulous, as I can see. It's like a bad worldpress, in which the most peole believe with pleasure, when they have no life or for lack of anything better to do. Instead of dig out the real important cases: Many people steal artworks from here for facebook, youtube videos or another video plattforms or rather using original pictures from others for their own like wallpapers from great corporations and post it on tumblr without permission everywhere (of course, without crediting the artist), or even worse, sell it ... and that is not ok!
"No, turn down the mouse instead of the fox". Otherwise it would cause problems."
But is it here about reference or tracing? I don't think so. It's just pretense for lack of anything or jealousness. But is that really the point? I won't never sell this picture, I just do another artwork on base of this wonderful kiss photo (link posted below), that people can enjoy, nothing more. I know about, what is allowed in this case and what is not. It's my business every day! A proverb says: Ignorance is no excuse in law. I use it as reference (as a few artist have done in deviantart in past, because that photo is really really amazing). And btw, I don't rely on high praises or something for it, coz it's not my best work but a quick inspiration, that's all. I hope I have make clear my point of view. If you have further questions, leave me a note and don't discuss here in childish talk. I would appreciate that. Thank you.
BTW, ... when I have nothing to say or have lack of knowledge I better have to shut up!
This artwork I dedicate to in honouring of her damn good fanfiction "Prince and Assassin".
Brief synopsis: The Prince returns to Babylon to find it captured and in flames. the Vizier, resurrected because of the events on the Island of Time, brought his armies of Sand monstrocities to Babylon. He also brought his former lord's daughter Farah with him as a captive. the Prince frees her without knowing it. Altair gets mixed up in this simply by chance. He meets the Prince who tries to conceal his Dark side from him. Eventually they get separated from Farah and each other and Altair is captured by the Vizier who infects him with the Sands thinking that an immortal Assassin is a good asset to him in finding the Prince and killing him.
It was very difficult to draw a face contorted with pain, also strained muscles are a challenge for me. Anyway I hope you like it! Critics and Comments welcome!
