“I’m not listening to you.”
She was talking to herself. There was no one else to talk to. She was her only conversational partner, and some days, that was good enough. But on days like today, when this irrational cloud of depression settled deep in her brain and she tried to think of something to talk about, all she could think of was how sick she was of talking to herself. All she talked about was what a genius she was, or testing, or Science (and she was sick of the way she talked about it, as if it were something worthy of adulation; why did she personify the damn word, anyway?).
Well. That wasn’t all she talked about. But she didn’t want to think about that right now.
Of course you want to think about it.

Ik kerf je in mijn hart.

Every Dog Has Its DayThere once was a dog who wandered the streets. He was a kindly dog who did not have a home.Every Dog Has Its Day4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Sometimes, he would see families at the park playing with their dogs. How he wished he were one of those dogs. After a time, he decided that he would try to befriend one of the children that played in the park. He was overcome with excitement and haphazardly ran toward a child while yelling "Hello!" over and over again. He had almost reached the child when, suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his side. A man had kicked him causing him to yelp in pain. He never went back to the park again.
Despite that incident, it did not deter him from trying to find someone who wanted him. The dog promised himself that if he should ever find someone to love him, he would return that love a hundredfold.
One rainy morning, as he was searching for food, he happened to come across a pet store. Inside, he saw dozens of
Vampire Knight FanFic 1I barrelled through the gates of the school, greatcoat swishing around my ankles, the Level E snapping at my heels. As I whirled round, the vampire lunged for me, its mouth wide open and its sharp canines glinting in the moonlight. I fended off its attack with my Crusader a double bladed sword which was lethal in close combat and sliced across its torso. At first I thought I hadnt done any damage, but the vampires reaction told a different story. It burst into dust, the tattered clothes it had been wearing falling to the floor in a heap.Vampire Knight FanFic 17 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
Panting heavily, I straightened up and surveyed my surroundings. I was in a large courtyard edged with medieval-looking buildings. So this was Cross Academy. The architecture was appropriate considering the secret it kept. Vampires were seen as just ancient legends, but a few including myself knew better. Cross Academy was one of several vampire sanctuaries that had sprung up during the time when more

It was their first Christmas together, even Thor had brought Loki with him, trying not to make him feel left out. Natasha had just come back from the last mission, a long month in the desert, so now was ready to party. Clint had helped Bruce decorate the tree, apparently Tony had ordered several "avengers' toys" to make their tree really one of a kind.
Steve had spent the last two days trying to find the perfect gifts for his friends. He had done a fairly good job, the only problem being the inventor.
What do you buy to a guy who has everything, could buy everything or invent it himself? Good, question, but now he needed a good answer as well.
Tony was still working when Jarvis reminded him of the 'White Avengers', Tony's party for this Christmas with his friends. He rose from his stool, wiped his hands clean and went upstairs to his bedroom to clean up for good. When he reached his room he found the door slightly ajar, so he peaked inside to find out what was going on. He spotted a bl

Afraid, Katrina stared down the undead woman. Panic and fear wanted to take control but Katrina wouldn't allow the emotions to dictate her actions. Slowly moving towards the woman Katrina kept her eyes locked with the other woman's eyes.
"What do you want with me? Where is the child that was with me? What have you done to the family who lays here? Answer me," spat Katrina.
With a laugh that sounded like a loud sinister echo, the decomposing woman responded, "It is none of your business young one. It is our concern and no one else's. They add to our own collective power in the netherworld. Soon we will be able to break free of our bondage and take a hold of the world of living. The little girl is the key. She will allow us to completely break free and you cannot stop us once we do."

For another to hold,
For a way to grow,
No time to pine,
Spirits fading fast,
Hoping love will last;
Slow beats of the heart
Quicken when far apart,
Cannot stand to be away,
Do not want to stray-
But what is one to do
When forgetting how to say
I love you?

You´re not alone, together we stand. I´ll be by your side, you know I´ll take your hand.
Wind blew against your face as you looked up at the dark and starless night. The stars were hiding behind the forbidding clouds that proclaimed a rainstorm. It was cold but you didn't mind. Slowly the cold started to take its toll on you. You began to cough. After you had stopped coughing, you heard silence. It scared you. You have been many times in the forest and you always remembered being noisy. Now it was so silent that you could hear yourself breathing. Suddenly you heard footsteps. They were fast and loud. You heart be began to beat rapidly in your chest. You held your breath, hoping the person would not hear you.

As a servant, all you did was work. It didn't bother you because you had Italy and Hungary to keep you company. You and Italy have a long history together. You, as the country Hospitalia, were easily captured by Austria. You were both grateful and embarrassed because at least he was a gentle man who did not enjoy invading vital regions and embarrassed because he was a weak country in your opinion. He wasn't much of a fighting country but it didn't matter. You hated him and loved him at the same time. You hated that he was sometimes a stuck up but then you loved him because he almost treated you like a daughter and Hungary his wife. Hungary acted like a mother to you because she always wanted a daughter but she has no one to help her with that so she treats you like hers. This place is my sanctuary
It's my other home
Where I feel safe
And I'm never alone
It’s the one place
Where I can be me!
Not worried at all
Of what society wants to see
Where I don't have to wear this mask
And people don't care that I don't smile
They simply like me for who I am
And that's something what hasn't happened in awhile
It's a place where I can share my art
These little pieces of me
Not feeling the least bit embarrassed
Not caring if they disagree
Not caring what they say!
Or who sees what I do
Where I can be completely me!
A person known by few
It is pure freedom!
An escape from the chains
That seen to weigh everyone down
With such great pains
Pains of criticism
And worrying what people think
Will they reject what I do?
Will they make my heart sink?
But this place is a safe haven
Where none of that matters!
These insecurities that I have
One after another shatters!

It was blue and big and I couldn't put it down
I found my calling that day
In that magical world of words
I became hungry, hungry for more
I was a devourer

And as the years passed
And people came and went
I grew, my hunger grew and so did the size of the books
People who said books were a waste of time
Made me want to cry

I may not be good looking or fashionable or popular

Like father, like son
"Draconis, my son, bring me your brother for I wish to speak with him," a cold voice directed.
"Yes, father, I shall fetch him at once," Draconis replied, his crimson eyes showing just the slightest amount of fear.
This fear was justified; after all, none had crossed Dark Sword and lived to tell the tale except for two wretched creatures by the names of Goldstripe and Stefanie. They were still paying the price for their insubordination.
Draconis pushed aside the happy thoughts of these traitors' annihilation and set out to look for his older brother.
He started with his usual haunt, the great library.
"Why does it always have to be me? It's always me," he muttered to himself angrily.
Draconis took the longer route to vent some of his anger before he came to his ve

I have outlived all and yet I look no older than a young maiden. I've walked this earth for 12,000 years. I saw Caesar and Napoleon. I tipped my hand to Joan of Arc. I fought along side George Washington. I've seen the world. I helped workers build The Great Pyramids of Giza. I witnessed Atlantis slip fatefully into the sea. I've seen all of history pass. I've held loved ones as they died. I've watched all of my friends bravely forfeit their lives to spare mine. Their fate was far better. Need to connect, to connect myself,
Have to take it and insert it in my nerve system,
Need to sleep, I must sleep.
Awake, all naked, cover in blood and in a little body,
It feels real, it feels normal, but yet I know that it is abnormal,
Knowing consciously that I am asleep, but why do I feel the need to keep my eyes shut and dream?
It is so warm, so good and so comfortable,
Yet it is so dark, so hard and fragile,
This body in which from now on I will live, will be my reality till the end.
What could have happened along the process,
Can't reach out to pull it out of my nerve system,
I think I lost control, and I think I am for nevermore.
Not always the endThe seasons are passing,Not always the end3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
That is unchanging.
The first leaves start to fall,
Leaving the tree alone, standing tall.
The flowers are withering,
The morning dew still slightly glimmering.
Life slowly being taken from the earth,
Letting the Winter prepare it for rebirth.
After the Winter the earth will be reborn,
The farmers will the harvest their corn.
New flowers will grow,
Be it fast or slow.
Forgetting the Winter and it's icy cold.
Leaving but the future to unfold.
The cold Winter removed old life,
Just to make place for new life.
An end is not always an end,
But make sure your time wasn't misspend.
The end is just a new start,
And that is truly a work of art.

As the ground collapsed beneath the young dragon, he found himself doing the only thing he could think to do: Stay on top. He quickly lost track of his winged companion, as they both tumbled down into the gorge below.
The rock Spike was on, he clung to with all his might, refusing to let go. It wasn't long before the stone impacted the ground and shattered, knocking the wind out of him. He tumbled across the rubble that arrived before, as giant stones fell around him, and on top of him.
The two Crusaders and four recruits watched their friends fall into the gorge below, helpless to save them. It wasn't long before the ground stopped breaking apart before them. Likely stopped by the tree roots below, thought Apple Bloom.
The yellow filly squirmed out of her friend's grip, and ran to the new cliff edge, looking down into the gorge below. "I don't see them!" she cried.

November Eve -
Summer is turning,
Darkness touches the day,
Puts on her black glove.
Gone the times of abundance.
Cold covers the land,
Prepares the rebirth in spring.
Let us kindle the fires,
Dance and celebrate.
When the veils between the worlds open,
The dead will walk freely among us in this night
And the gods pay tribute
To fertility for a last time.
Let us draw the circle,
From outside walking inwards,
Break bread, empty the cup,
Ask for guidance and cognition,
Visualize the own mortality
And prepare for the new outer existence.

I see you struggling,
You have no motivation, you are fading,
You feel like you're surrounded by lies,
But I know otherwise,
I need you to think,
Let all your feelings out with ink,
I can really help you,
If you just give me the chance to,
I'm here for you and I shall always be,
You can trust me,
You can't keep on doing this to yourself,
I can't even bare the thought of being by myself,
You are beautiful, you are you,
And I love you,
So please, please don't feel bad,
You're only making me sad,
You are my friend,
And you will be until the very end,
Please feel better,
I'll be here forever.

Why things have to change
The reaction I get
Always so strange
Am I not still me?
The person you know
Even if I have no god
What's the big deal, so?
It doesn't change me
You've liked me up till now
But I guess this creates a space
That can't be fixed somehow
The looks that I always get
Of hate and disgust
I though you weren't supposed to judge
Just another reason not to trust
Just because I don't go to church
Doesn't mean I don't have morals
I have integrity and heart
Trying to avoid these quarrels
It's not like I'm a Murderer
I haven't harmed a soul
You're all just hypocrites!
You're out of control!
So what I don't read the bible
So what I can't recite one verse
So what I don't flaunt my religion
I can think of things way worse!
So I don't fit your cookie cutter
Big freaking deal
You people have your religion
And yet you lie kill and steal!
Just because you believe
Doesn't make you an exception

Or is that too cheesy?
Do you know age?
It’s been a few years
My favorite color?
Or my worst fears?
Do you know my height?
The color of my eyes?
Do you remember my face?
The one you despise
Do you know my favorite food?
The size that I wear?
My favorite music?
Or the color of my hair?
Do you remember my freckles?
Or the sound of my voice?
How about my favorite movie?
Or my song of choice?
Do you know my goals?
My hopes and dreams?
What I wish to become?
My favorite teams?
Do you know my personality?
How I’m always smiling
How I used to have hope in you
Your words so beguiling
Do you know my hobbies?
What I enjoy
Running, drawing, writing
Still such a tomboy
Do you know I write poems?
Or that they’re all about you?
The pain deep in my heart
Each tear caught by a tissue
Do you know I suffer?
Each minute of each day,
Knowing I couldn't see you,
Knowing you'd never stay?
